Olesya's brow furrowed at the mention of Mathew being alive. It wasn't that she particularly blamed him for her madness...it just so happened that they were, well, they had...just around the time when everything unraveled. She was a different woman now, horribly scarred but stronger because of it. She wondered what he would think of her now.
She frowned and shook her head, shaking the dark thoughts away.
"I'm sure wherever he is, he's raising hell. He was always good at that."
She'd heard of this Leon boy, but never actually met him. The Lightning Dragon, she heard that even his hair was electric, yellow like lightning. A lot of the stories of the Dragons were emphasized the more they were told. Mathew was the Earth Dragon, she remembered his large brown coat. And Linda....wasn't she one of the pillars who overhauled 259? Olesya would have to be embittered toward her by default.
She cleared her throat, her expression fading back to neutral.
"I suppose August is going with you too, am I right? Does Youichi know?"

He nodded.
"August knows, and told Youichi. August joined up with the Dragons, and Youichi...well, she had decided to, initially, join. But she recanted in lui of the travel time, and her appreciation for you. I think the only way i'd gether there is if you joined. I mean, their obviously in love, her and August, but she would rather die than admit it, apparently. They should just run off and get hitched, so we can have little red-haired yoichi's running around. That way, she'd HAVE to force you to come up north and we could all chill and eat pizza and shit." He smirked, before changing the subject. He wasn't gonna ask her, instead leaving that window open to another.
"I have an idea. Lets play a game. How about- You can ask the other person any question, and the first person who refuses to answer, they have to carry both packs the entire walk. They can be as embarrassing or off the wall as you want."
Yeah, not very creative. But hey, they had a few miles to go, and he had more than a few questions on his mind.

She gave him a pointed frown. Great....so it was either keep them separate in different factions like Romeo and Juliet, or...move in with the Dragons. Olesya was reluctant to jump on the bandwagon due to her mixed feelings and the fact that she didn't want to leave Maddie alone or take her from her friends.
This was definitely something she would have to think about.
Hefting her bag on her shoulders, she shrugged.
"Alright, my shoulders could use a rest."
She agreed, making a confident gesture that she would win.

His greatest achievement?
He looked up at the sky, letting out a deep breath.
"I'm not sure. I'd like to say it's keeping old friends, or never taking a life, but both of those are false, as friends have left me and the new world makes it impossible not to kill. I guess I'd say I'm proudest of my fight record. For some reason, I couldn't help but count how many times I won and lost. My ego, I suppose."
He would grin.
"Ever made out with another girl? If so, who and when?"
What did you expect?

A slight frown marred the young woman's face when he noted what he wished his greatest achievements were, as they were something she could never achieve either. Long before the end of the world, Olesya had killed in the name of Ophelia Lachlan, her alias brought on by her psychosis.
The frown slowly morphed into a small smirk at the mention of his track record. It was pretty impressive, what details she knew. Olesya didn't keep track of her fights. When she was a pillar, it wasn't uncommon to have multiple fights a day. Punk kids trying to take her pillarship, breaking up fights in the hallway, fights on the soccer field and in the locker rooms...it was inevitable.
At his question, Olesya rolled her eyes.
"No, and never. I'm interested in men, thankyouverymuch."
She replied flatly, adding a fake terseness to the last bit to pretend to be irritated with him. Kissing girls, really?
"Since we're on that track...who was your first kiss? And whom?"

David chewed his lip, both to keep from laughing at her reaction, and because he was thinking of his response to her query.
"My first real kiss? When I wasn't in a fight? I suppose it was a girl I had been with at my old school."
He left out that she died at the end of that year. The girl was amazing, someone he was madly in love with at the time. Her death had hit him hard, and it was because of her that he vowed to get strong, to be the best, so that next time someone tried to take from him something or someone so important, he would break them. He looked at her out of the corner of his eye as he asked his next question.
"What's one thing you've purposely kept from me, if anything?"
He grinned at the broadness of the question. This put her in a bind. If she didn't have anything, it would technically be a lie, since she has kept her feelings from him. If she had nothing else, she would have to tell him that. But if she had something else, then he would now learn of it, and would still be glad to have asked it since it was a secret she had not shared, and his curiousity was overwhelming.
Yeah... Double edged sword questions. He played dirty.

Les pursed her lips at the fight comment. They both knew he fought dirty like that, they'd gotten both of their kisses that way, while in the midst of sparring. Granted, their most recent one had been more...heated than the first. The first time he kissed her, she slapped him...before getting flung to the ground for letting her guard down.
Her cheeks warmed slightly as she thought about it.
"What's one thing you've purposely kept from me, if anything?"
Les gave him a confused look for a second as his words rearranged themselves in her head. What did she keep from him on purpose? Granted there were things that she hadn't thought of telling him.
"I haven't told you half of the things I did in the last seven years. Many of them Im not proud of them, some of them I can't even remember myself."
Yes, Les was a little ignorant. Blame it on the fact that she wasn't entirely socially stable following said years of madness.
"Are you keeping anything from me?"
She turned the question back on him. He had kept the fact of his...illness, from her. But he'd come clean, and even invited her to go see his doctor. She was really pleased that he regarded her enough to want her to be there.

He noticed her face getting heated, and cocked an eyebrow, but didn't ask. Leave that to the imagination. As to her response of his question shrugged.
"So, share one with me. Like, for instance, who this Stu guy was?"
Yeah, he knew Stu. Met him once or twice, and back at school had seen his fair share of the guy. Not on campus, mind you, but off. And he had heard of her and Stu being...well, close. As it were. As for his own secrets.
"Mmm, well, not purposely trying to keep from you, just haven't told you yet." He eyed her a moment before rolling his gaze upward, letting out a breath. Serves him right for asking the question- of course she would want to know the same and would ask it. And, of course, he'd have to tell her. She would see to that.
"One being that I'm not just moving up to Dragon Territory. I'm kind of leading them." He didn't look at her."The other being what the Doctor said.... about this new medication he found." He faced forward. "Though I'd prefer it if we could save that conversation for when we arrive."
He'd ask a question more to make her blush, or hit him.
"What color is your underwear? And where do you get fresh stuff? Do you just steal bras from homes or..?"
He would likely stop there from some kind of physical retaliation, laughing.

"Stu was an old boyfriend of mine. We had a band together...When I was held hostage in the correctional facility, well, he kind of lost it."
She shrugged, frowning.
"I don't even know what happened. When I came back, he hated me. Even went so far as to throw an arcade machine at my head. But, we've gotten over our differences and parted...friends, I suppose. Acquaintances is probably a better description. We've both changed a lot."
When he posed his question, Olesya rolled her eyes. He was such a typical boy!
"Well, before things like electricity and washing machines, people washed stuff by hand. All you need is a bucket, water, and soap. As for color.."
She stretched her torso, her shirt riding up her abs to catch a glimpse of the band around her waist.
"Blue. Satisfactory?"
She took another sip of her water before tucking the bottle back in her backpack.
"Tell me an embarrassing moment."

Davids eyes traveled downward, mouth parting slightly at the sight of skin, and noticeably, the bit of blue.
"Uhh... Yeah!"
A small chuckle afterward as she asked her question. Oh god. An embarrassing moment, man...he had so many of them. Maybe the time he was beaten by Emily and her friend simply by them fighting him topless- which, in his opinion, was unfair. He was 17! If course he would stop and stare. Or perhaps it was the time he was almost caught in the Library with Bastille.... Best not to share that one with her. He rolled his eyes. He got it.
"Probably when I was in gym class and came walking out in my boxers to find two or three people in a fight. Unfortunately, my boxers had no front button and, in the commotion...well, anyway. It was awkward."
He blushed. That had been very...very embarrassing. Trying to act tough with your manhood flying in the breeze was a difficult task.
"What are your top three most memorable moments from 259?""

Les snorted, snickering at the memory David brought up. She hadn't seen that, but it was possible she'd been in another class at the time. It would have been priceless though! Seventeer year old Les totally would have blackmailed him with that. That was back in simpler times.
Speaking of, it seemed David was on a nostalgic kick. Sighing, Olesya wracked her brain trying to think of three memorable moments from her days at 259.
"Let's see...the fight with Mitsuki in the cafeteria...that was ages ago. I'm pretty sure I wound up throwing a chair at her, hah...The Christmas assignment with Jon, that's where we first met Maddie. She was just a tyke then. Aaand...the fight with you where I became Varsity Captain. Being a pillar was definitely the highlight of my school career."
A soft smile fell on her face as she reminisced.
"What three people influenced you most in your life?"

He nodded in acknowledgement, and grinned.
"That fight was memorable for more than that, if i recall..."
He would keep his eyes straight forward, listening as she asked her question. People who influenced him? Oh man...the list goes on and on. The people who influenced him the most, though? He frowned. Those were hard choices. He let out a thoughtful "hmmm" as he pondered.
"I guess Leon would be one- the man was the first person to beat me in a fight. Losing changes your outlook on life a little. Suddenly you don't feel so invincible. Next would probably be Gabriel. I hated the guy, alot of the time, but his desire for power helped show me who i should never become. And the third was the girl I spoke of earlier, Allisa. She made me want to become strong, so I would never fail in protecting everyone."
His mood died a little, as he walked in silence for a moment or two before mumbling.
"Yeah...Bang up job I did there...."
He shook his head before continuing.
"How many kids would you want?"

Leon, she was certain she fought him once. Good energy, great fighter, and one of the elusive Dragons. Beyond that she knew nothing of him, but wasn't surprise to find that David conceded defeat to the Dragon. David was a great fighter, almost invincible but not quite. He was right about the humbling thing, losing got your feet back on the ground when your head was in the clouds.
As for Gabriel, he was another one that Olesya had hazy memories of. She remembered their interactions being mixed, they would get along and then fight in the same breath.
"Err...well to be honest, I wasn't expecting to be a guardian in the first place. When I was younger, I wanted a big family like mine...but now? I'm not so sure..."
She half-answered his question, letting him filling in the lines. She didn't know how to be a mother, that was something she had discussed with Delilah not too long ago. However, there was something about Maddie that grounded Olesya and kept her head on straight. They helped eathother, Olesya looking out for Maddie and Maddie bringing goodness to Olesya's life.
"This Allisa...was she your first love?"

He blushed.
"Yeah."
He looked behind them, a little perplexed that they could come so far in somehow a time. Still, they had a ways to go and he doubted a one word answer was sufficient for the question.
"Back at 809, I was Captain. She was my pillar, and we fell for each other. Pretty hard. Some gang leaders led an attack on the school, and while we were protecting it, she was distracted, and they caught her with a crowbar at the base of the neck, and didn't stop hitting her for several moments. Luckily, they said she died instantly."
He kept himself from looking at her, memories now in his eyes.
"I was too weak to protect her. And you. I ran away then like I did at 259c and I've never been back. But I didn't want that for this place. For you guys. So, I sucked up my... Pride and returned, knowing that likely, certain people would be angry at me. But I'd rather be hated and known for trying than be the coward I was back then."
He had obviously meant her when he said certain people, though he doubted she'd think of it that way.
"Who would you say you look up to the most today, and why?"

Les cleared her throat awkwardly, watching the ground as they walked. This question-answer game was getting pretty serious. She hadn't meant to bring up such bad memories. Kicking at a stone, she looked up at his question, glad to be moving on from the current topic.
"I'm not sure, to be perfectly honest. As a guardian stand-point, I really look up to Delilah. She manages to wrangle a five year old and lead an army, it's pretty impressive. Then of course there's you. You're clearly the leader of our little group, much like you were in the pillar days."
It was odd, now that she thought about it. She, August, and Youichi looked up to David for advice, but at the same time were all on the same level. Much like they were as pillars back in high school.
