Jackson was glad he could finally use his Qi. He went out into an old parking lot to practice with it. He grasped at the air around him, clutching what he could, and trying to build it up. He wanted to do more than that pathetic smoke wisp he had shot at Levi.
When five minutes had passed, of Jackson doing this, he grabbed a ball, about five inches across now, and threw it. It went about ten feet before thudding on the ground, and dissipating.

Rai walked into the area after hear some noise and saw Jackson training. Interesting... he thought seeing him throw what seemed to be a ball of air.
"Yo!"
Rai called out walking up to him.
"What was that you just did? Seemed pretty cool."

"Wha- oh, hey, what's up?" Jackson greeted him with an arm and chest bump-thing.....Moving on..... "I finally unlocked my power!" He seemed excited, yet disappointed at the same time. "Unfortunately, that's about all I can do right now, unlike you, or Kiyr, or Levi."

Rai nodded understanding, he was still learning the extent to his ability but luckly his was centered in his blood so the concept was a bit easier for him.
"Well everyone has to start somewhere and that blast thingy didn't seem to bad, hell once you get a hold on it I'm sure it will be something that could even rival my defense."
Rai thought for a moment before speaking again.
"Though you know what they say practice makes perfect."
Rai walked a few feet away from Jackson and faced him.
"Lets see it again. Aim for me this time."

Jackson figure he'd try and rush it, so as to not keep Rai waiting so he gathered what he could into his hands, and threw a fastball at him. It didn't have much to it. The ball looked big right now, but was entirely hollow.
Just for show, basically.
It flew towards Rai, hopefully hitting him in the chest.

Rai hardened the blood in his chest taking the hit full on. He leaned backwards just a bit but not overly so.
"Hmph... That was a full power blast was it? Try again, take as much time as you need. Calm you head focus on you're inner mind and imagine it. See it literally come to life in your hands before you release it."

Jackson nodded. "Understood."
He gathered in the air again.
This time he didn't rush anything, he drew his energy for a good three or four minutes, until he had a ball that was actually the same size as his first. About five inches across.
He wound up and threw it softball style into Rai's gut.

Rai wouldn't let this one just hit him instead reaching out to grab it with his hand that was now covered in a hardened blood 'glove' and punched it hoping to knock it away or dissipate or whatever this thing did.
"Good thats better! Now we just need to improve you speed. Do you know how to meditate?"

"Hmmm... Ok that makes things a little more difficult. Alright if I can't clear your head. Then I have to find away to focus your attention..."
Rai had a quick thought and would take off his training weights and hand them to Jackson.
"Put these on."

"Now what?" he asked Rai.

"You will no longer be able to move from that spot. But don't worry there is a method to my madness, I've learned from listening to stories of my uncles training that this usually works out."
Rai held up his hand where a ball of blood would form in his hand.
"Though there have been exceptions, but I do think you are strong enough to survive. The idea here is that I'm going to continuously shoot my blood at you until you are able to create a ball of your own Qi to either stop them or destroy them. Somthing you should know about my blood, it immediately hardens after it exits my body. So they will hurt... A lot. Got it?"
Rai smiled holding out his hand palm facing Jackson waiting to see him respond.

"Understood." Jackson readied himself mentally for the barrage. He got to work preparing a list inside his head of how he might handle this...
Then he ditched the mental list, 'cause that's just dumb.
"Ready." He told Rai.

Rai smiled thankful that he wasn't going to have to fight him into submission about this. He held up his other hand to form a blood whip, only meant to reabsorb the blood that would hit Jackson.
"Right so I'll start out slow but I will began to shoot them faster if you don't get faster. One last thing, try not to die. We start now."
With that Rai shot out the first blood ball at Jackson

Jackson began gathering energy. Unfortunately, he didn't gather fast enough, and the first ball hit him in the gut.
"ourgh" the blow knocked the air right out of him.
He got out his Bat, from its sheathe and readied it. He had a plan and it wasn't playing baseball.
