The Body Guard

[Mr. Kaar]

This guy was roaming about the Compound surrounding the newly built and enforced Lightning Tower. He looked young, but he held himself specific way that was defiant, almost a challenge. Decidedly he walked near the open front gate doing distant inspections of the traders coming in as the usual guards did the physical inspection.

[Aryn Valcoph]

Aryn was working on a power array, leaning against the front of the lightning tower. She watched small little pinpricks of black as they lit from her skin and hovered in the air. One by one, they burst into a shape approximately the size and shape of a regular playing card, one after another. Only two remained in full existence at any one time, and it almost looked like a domino effect travelling back and forth in a line in front of her.

Beyond the flames, the seemingly young man pacing around caught her attention. She separated one of the extinguished beads and floated it over in front of him, casually walking along so she could focus on the air in front of him while managing to keep her little effect going in front of her.

After a moment, the flame sparked and Aryn's brow crumpled into a slight furrow as she formed the approximation of a snake, keeping it simple. Its tongue flicked out, longer than any other snake's to flick at his face.

Chris stopped his pacing and looked at the black fire... He soon continued it only slower this time. His right hand moving to his sword hilt while his left side turned towards the flame. His eyes where on the flame, but he was attempting to circle the flame to catch Aryn in the backround.

Chris knew about Leon's female apprentice, the one who controlled The Hell Fire.

[Aryn Valcoph]

The snake slithered through the air, trailing ahead as if leading him. But really, Aryn was just seeing what he would do and letting him lead the snake, so to speak. Two more pieces of the domino array flit through the air as they were extinguished, low, hovering around his body, aligning with the approximate level of the sword she could clearly see he carried...just that she couldn't clearly see right at this moment.

This was growing in difficulty. She liked the challenge.

Chris himself didn't want to toy with the hell fire, he knew legend of its danger and didn't care to see what was fact and what was fiction. He'd not draw his blade until the snake made a hostile action though somewhere in his mind he knew it wouldn't. She was a knight of this land, yet he still did not know her.

"So, we gonna dance all day or are you just having fun?"

Chris spoke allowed assuming the woman would be able to hear.

"Given the chance I would dance all day...and have fun doing it." Aryn almost laughed her response, the snake darting towards Aryn before u-turning over itself to make a short dash for Chris--but shrank and sputtered to nothing before it drew close enough for him to feel more than a slight singe.

It reappeared about a foot away, resuming its almost languid motions.

Chris would watch before letting go of his blades handle and looking to her. His face seemed stone solid, like his had been cut from a white rock of some kind, his expression never changing from the ever so slight smile it had.

"Well then. I don't think we have formally met. I am Chris Shedrun."

[Aryn Valcoph]

Dance, Fire, Dance~

Aryn tipped her head to the side and dispelled the flames, all of them, with a blink. Though the miniscule little black dots remained--the ones that were closest to Chris.

"We sure haven't. Aryn Valcoph."
