Saburo walked along the remainder of the sidewalk through the city, it wasn't out of his norm to go on long walks and this one happened to land him inside crow territory. not that he cared, Saburo was 50 years old so people usually paid him respect as long as he didn't cause any harm.
It was for the most part deserted, seeing only a few people here or there, but he was there to enjoy the view and see the new sights he hadn't seen before.
He saw a strange looking man running torwards him at a very fast pace and noticed there was a woman chasing him, apparently the man had stolen goods from the woman.
Saburo clothes-lined the man and in a moment he had forced the man onto the ground and had the man's hands tied behind the man's back.
"Oh thank you the woman said, i don't know what i'd do without you!" The woman said when she finally caught up to Saburo and the theif.
"Just doing my civic duty ma'am." Saburo tiped his hat to the woman and let her walk off with her goods safely inside her handbag once more.
Saburo stood there over the theif. "well...well...well...What are we going to do with you?" Saburo asked.

"You're gonna do nuthin',"
Behind Saburo, an impossibly deep, gravelly voice would speak. If he turned, he would see a large, darkskinned man towering over him, an antagonizing sneer on his face. In his hands were two cast iron tonfa that he twirled lazily by the perpendicular handle. His eyes were narrowed. Behind him, two other shadows moved, though they had yet to reveal themselves.
"Citizens should not take these matters into their own hands," he rumbled, stepping around him to snag the thief by the collar, hauling him up into his muscular arms by the man's neck. "The law punishes."
CRACK
With a twist of his hands, the man's neck was snapped. He fell to the ground, lifeless. Nigel's eyes would not leave the old man's the whole time.
"Who are you, stranger?"

"My name is Saburo, and i was hoping that the law would be showing up. Of course you have my full co-operation Mr...?" Saburo insinuated as to wanted to know the man's name.

Nigel would stare at this man for a moment before inclining his head ever so slightly, almost...begrudgingly. "Nigel Wright, of Tengu Corps, of Crows."
Moving from behind Saburo, two more people made their appearance. One was a burly man with a ruddy complexion and reddish brown hair and beard. He was as tall as Nigel, but bigger in girth. He was also much less handsome, as though his creator had seen fit to first lay his face against an anvil in an attempt to hammer it into a more pleasing shape. The other was shorter, heavily scarred on one side of his face and older than either of the other two. The first grabbed the lifeless body of the thief and hauled him onto his shoulder unceremoniously, like a sack of potatoes.
The scarred man would step towards Saburo with a thin smile that was almost a grimace, speaking with a Russian accent. "Vat business do you bring here, Mister Saburo?" he demanded in clipped tones. In his hand, he held a clip board, and in his ear was a bluetooth device.

"As it would appear justice. that tends to be my business anyway, whether or not the law is there i am. though i'll freely admit, it works better when the law is on my side. which right now it appears that you are."

"'APPEARS'," Sergei agreed firmly. "And yet, you do not ehxplain your reasons for beink here in our lands, for takink matters into your own hands. You are a guest in someone's home; do you deescipline deir dog for dem if they are misbehavink?" he lifted his brows at the man...or at least the one that would actually move and wasn't just dead muscle and skin.
"Vhy are you here."

"In absence of yourselves i became your dog's keeper, and i'm pretty sure most people don't kill their dogs." Sab looked over to the corpse then back to the man who was talking to him. "I'm on an extended vacation here." Saburo said honestly. "Looking around to see who's hiring for an old man. and i didnt catch your name..." Sab looked at Sergei (not that sab knew his name yet) expectantly.

Sergei's brow furrowed as the man spoke to him so. Behind them, Talon had carted off the body to the funeral pyre where he would be cremated and Nigel had gone to address the woman whose goods were stolen, to inform her that the culprit had been handled.
"Ve vere not in abscene, Mr. Sabuto, ve vere vaiting in ambush. This man had already commited a crime once. Ve vere investigatink him. He vould have been captured vhether you were here or not. It is not your place to lift a hand against a citizen of anuzzer territory. You vould do vell to remember that, in this area."
As to the second thing...
"Ze Crows are always hiring. I am Sergei Filatayev, Tengu and Crow. My kommander is Delilah Black, ze First Crow."

"Then i shall go to see your commander, this Delilah? Where can i find her?" Saburo asked with a smile on his face.

"Not in ze area at present," he almost snapped. This man was a little to presumptuous for his liking. "Vat do you possibly have that you could bring to the Crows zat we do not already haf? You vould need to undergo basic trainink as a regular soldier as vell. Perhaps it vould be best for you to beink a regular citizen in ze area instead."
Sergei was a little more vehement than usual, and, if possible, more rigid, with his hands clasped behind his back as he frowned at this man.

"I have been studying tactics, battlefield decision-making, and guerilla warfare operations for the past 30 years" Saburo stated. "And i have NEVER been a normal citizen."

"I haf to admeet, zat soundz useful. But ve haf zis already. Ve haf leaders. Ve don't need people vanderink in off ze streets, presumink they can do ze same."
He continued to stare at Saburo with intense scruitiny.
"You are older zen some of the men here, even older zen myself. I vas military myself, Cold Var, servink in Mother Russia. And I am just a soldier."

"I'm just looking for something to do while i'm here, i'm going to keep knocking these punks out when i see them because it's the right thing to do, but i'd rather do it with permission. You pickin' up what i'm puttin' down?"

Sergei bristled with indignation at the man's words and he began to quake with suppressed anger.
"Somethink... to do?" he repeated, hissing through clenched teeth. He turned his face away for a moment to breathe and force his mind back into calmness, muttering vehement Russian curses all the while. Suddenly, he whipped back around, snarling, red faced, "ZIS IZ NOT 'SOMETHINK TO DO' LIKE A HOBBY OR A HOLIDAY," He bellowed. People watching looked over at them in confusion; no one had ever seen the Tengu lose his top like that before. "ZIS IS VAR. KILLINK SOLDIERS AND RISKINK YOUR LIFE IS NOT A GAME. IT IS NOT 'SOMETHINK TO DO', IT IS NECESSARY, IT IS--"
"Sergei."
Though Saburo would be unable to hear it, a woman's voice would stop Sergei mid sentence and his face paled. He retracted, his expression going back to neutral as he lifted a hand to his ear and the blue-tooth attached. "I read you, First."
"Bring him to my office, please. Let him know I will speak with him there, privately."
"...Of course. Out." He looked back at Saburo, still frowning deeply but signifigantly calmer. "The First will meet with you. Please follow me,"
He started off at a brisk pace towards the Crow's Nest.

Saburo's only reply was a bright smile as he followed the man to 'The First'
