Hades. Who would have thought that the Kraken answered to Hades. I always thought Zeus was the one to call the shots with things like that. I probably would be more comfortable if it was Zeus, I don't know Hades that well.
He frowned to himself as he walked through God territory, familiar lands to him now. And lands that he felt welcome in. He had earned his place here and with it's people. With it's soldiers and with it's philosophers. But now, he was going to have to earn his place with it's monsters.
He made his way to Hades domain. Running through possibilities in his head, how he might approach fighting the Kraken, and how to avoid becoming wet paste on the concrete. It was scary and exciting. To fight someone who felt so much more powerful than he. He hadn't done so since New York.
He felt alive.

Mathew would find himself escorted by Charon, a tall man in a black hooded robe. To the built on attachment to the side of a mountain that had been hollowed out and made deeper to fit Tarterus. Escorted all the way to Hades himself.
"Well now, a Dragon God and king in two other rights decides to wander in for a visit, and here I am with my morning make-up."

Charon always kind of creeped him out. Maybe it was the guy, or maybe it was the mythos. But something about him never stood quite right with him. It wasn't that it stirred fear in Mathew. No, fear was not the right word, more like dread. But that could have been his own active imagination rather than anything that Charon himself did. So Mathew just followed him in silence until they reached Lord Hades.
Clasping a fist to his chest he gave the other God a respectful bow. He needed Hades so it was best to stay on his good side, plus he had nothing against the man. So there was no need to be rude at all.
"My apologies for calling on you so early then Lord Hades."

Hades would crack a wide grin before chuckling.
"Lighten up, you know as well as I, we are not really Gods, but I suppose rank can't be entirely ignored, else chaos rule."
Hades would stand from his black bone throne and return with his own slow yet fluid bow.

He smirked as Hades told him to lighten up and mentioned how they both knew that they were not really Gods. That was good to hear. Everyone else seemed to believe otherwise.
"I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who knows he is still but a mortal. But for the time being, you do out rank me. And I need your help with something."

He nodded. It would make sense that others would not fall in to it. Perhaps they put the act on for the sake of Zeus.
"I understand that you are the one who personally controls the Kraken. I believe that it would be prudent for me to train against someone of his level of abilities. I will need every edge I can get if I am going to be the one to win this war."
He said with a smug grin, true to his namesake Ares was looking forward to the climax of the war, and his ultimate victory.

Hades would crack a smile.
"The Kraken, huh? Well I can arrange it, but it really depends on his mood."
Hades would order some fellows in cloaks to retrieve The Kraken from the mythical beasts sanctuary.

"Meaning on if his mood is to kill me or leave me alive?"
He said with his own grin. He was not expecting the Kraken to go easy on him. But then neither would Barker, or the freaks at his disposal. It would actually be best if the Kraken didn't go easy on him. Though he would prefer to not die. Dying would throw a monkey wrench in to most of his plans. Not all of them, but the vast majority of them.

Hades would simply shake his head.
"On if he finds it worthy of his time... He's getting stubborn unless on a mission where he gets to slaughter hundreds."
With that The Kraken would wander in, his dark blue hair accented by just as dark blue eyes. The only thing odd would be the gold armor about his body.

"Interesting..."
He couldn't imagine that he wouldn't be found worthy. He could think of no one as worthy as he was for anything. Everything he had he earned, and he was never satisfied with where he was. He was always looking to reach new heights. Even now while David and Leon seemed to have reached their peaks he was growing. And he would keep growing past every limit that stood in his way. The Kraken may not want to teach him, but he would find a way to learn.
He gave the Kraken a traditional Dragon salute. He was here not just as Ares, but as a Dragon. He felt it fitting.
"Greetings Kraken. I wish to test my skills against your might. In victory I will find honor. In defeat I will find improvement. What say you?"

The Kraken's usually stoic expression turned slowly to a normal grin as he turned his head to look to Hades who simply nodded, then to Mathew the grin turned to a smile, and a glimmer of hope crossing his eyes as he simply turned slightly raising his arms up turning them so the pointy ends where on each side of him.
"Seems he has accepted, if you'll excuse me though, I'm not very good ad dodging his attacks."
Hades would give a bow of his head and leave.

Mathew awaited Hades' departure before starting then. Out of respect for the Elder god. And he was curious, Hades was not good at dodging his attacks. That meant Area of effect. He would have to keep that in mind. He debated momentarily on whether or not to fight defensively or offensively. But the debate was short, he wanted to impress, and the Kraken seemed to be the type to bore easily.
He would rush the Kraken, dropping low he opened up with a sweeping kick. Curious to see how the Kraken would respond. And ready to feel some pain for the first time in a long time. He was excited.

Kraken would switch stance quickly as Mathew dropped aiming a heel kick for Mathews sweeping shin. Taking a step with the same leg right after that to shift near behind Mathew he'd aim a downward elbow strike for Mathew's shoulder, purposefully not aiming to stab Mathew, simply testing the waters with blunt force for now.

He made no effort to dodge the heel kick aimed for his shin, but he did infuse the ground with Qi as the Kraken began to move to raise up thin pillars of stone following his leg to try and slam in to him as the heel slammed in to Mathew. And thus the Kraken would learn what Poseidon learned in their fight. One did not simply cause Mathew pain right away.
If he knocked the Kraken back and stopped the combo Mathew would roll away and pick himself up and crack his neck.
"I want you to hurt me, because I do not plan to hold back except to use non lethal force on you."
Other than that he was in this to win it. He wanted the Kraken to do the same.
