Turning on the Lights (Kiyr/GM)

As Lucien gets closer to the generator...he notes there is electricity within the generator itself - though if he tries to fill it up he does get a nice zap out of the deal after five seconds - but something is preventing the flow. And, being that he has the illumination from his qi, he should be able to spot a panel box nearby...

Lucien felt the electricity within, and looked around. The electrical panel, of course!

Bounding over to the box, he opened it and looked. He was hoping to see a set of breakers, that meant that the breakers had tripped after an excess of power. He would try to reposition the breakers into the position that would allow electricity to flow, and see what would happen then.

...success!

Lucien can feel the hum and rush of electricity. The boost he gave the generator seems to have done the trick as well!

Rust is looking to be impatient.

"You done yet? Not my fault if a patrol comes in and wants to draw and quarter you for stopping to smell the flowers." He huffs.

Lucien smiled as the lights rose. This was actually happening.

"Y-yeah, let's get going. Will you be leaving me at the border, or will you come with me to God Territory?" He asked, not expecting Rust to want to come with him. Still, the offer was open.

Either way, his next stop was La Habra.

Lucien would receive a rather baleful stare at his offer...but somewhere along the way was a sigh. A very small and soft one.

"Hell no. I'm walking you straight back to the closest border and getting rid of you."

And, figuring Lucien was done - what with the lights coming on and everything - he would proceed to usher Lucien back towards the location he had first entered. They didn't wind up at the exact same place, but close enough.

Once there...he stared at the man. Brooding, almost, with his crimson gaze rather piercing. He frowned, lips twisting downwards in a quick and harsh movement.

"...hey. Good luck--I mean it."

No goodbye. No questions though clearly there was curiosity in his eyes. That, for Rust, was about as good as Lucien was going to get by way of anything remotely "friendly".

Lucien is free to go to God Territory through Neutral Territory!

Lucien nodded. That was the answer he expected from such a man.

Hurrying back to the border, Lucien would pause before parting ways with the man.

"Thank you, Rust. If you ever find yourself in trouble... I owe you." He commented, grateful for the man's guidance.

He would hurry on to God Territory! From the place Rust had dropped him off, it was a little farther, but Lucien didn't mind. Besides, after that, there was no way he would cut through Experiment Territory, especially just to shave off a few minutes.

Rust snorted--damn right Lucien owed him. He said nothing in response, though!

Lucien finds his way rather uneventfully to God Territory! It's not long before he encounters an Egyptian-based patrol that hails him with a command to stop! They could see the Lightning Dragon jacket, but didn't relax. While not outright hostile they're not entirely friendly either. It's clear they mean business, but who can blame them? With their other border snugged up on Barker Territory, it can make for some tense days even after switching routes.

Lucien would stop, and raise his hands to the Egyptians. Staying solid, but non-confrontational, he would speak.

"Hello, my name is Lucien DeChain, the Lightning Dragon. I humbly request entrance to this territory, for the benefit of all of Southern California." He spoke deliberately, and slowly, giving the guards the utmost respect. After all, he had heard the rumours of the Gods thinking of themselves as deities. Maybe the soldiers held themselves to a higher standard, too.

The patrol fanned out around Lucien. They didn't draw blades - those were already drawn while they were on their route - but surrounded him, at the ready. Their gazes, while serious...were curious.

"And what purpose do you have that would benefit the whole of Southern California from within The Territory of the Gods?" The squad leader spoke, tipping his head to the side, hawk-like gaze eying Lucien. Sizing him up. Not quite arrogantly, but close enough.

Lucien would remain still as the troop surrounded him. It wasn't the time nor the place to act violent. As the leader addressed him, Lucien directed his answer at him. "I seek an electrical substation, in La Habra. By restoring power to this station and other key installments in other territories, I will be able to permanently restore power to the entire area."

No sense in being anything but transparent at this point.

[Kyrie Blaze]

There seemed to be a collective exhale. Though whether it was suspicion or annoyance...wasn't really clear. But the squad leader nodded.

"Fine. You'll have two escorts on your trip. Myself and one other." His chin jutted out in a slight gesture and one of the men stepped forward, the others stepping back. He glanced towards them and received nods; they would make their reports just in case there was trouble. "Think you can get it done in half an hour or less, Lightning Dragon?"

[Lucien DeChain]

Lucien nodded. "Very well. Half an hour it is." He replied. It was only a short walk away, and based on the other two stations Lucien assumed that this one would also be quick. Though, it's always good to allow time for problem solving...

Once everyone was ready, Lucien would set off towards La Habra, with his escorts.

They were ready!

Lucien moves off with the two Egyptians flanking him a step or two behind. It's an uneventful journey, as the Gods seem to have their territory well under control.

They reach the substation in quick order. And, to which, everything seems to be in order.

"This thing doesn't like to keep a charge for very long. A couple hours at most. Think you'll have better luck?"

Thankful for the information, Lucien gave a quick nod before replying. "I think it's just having problems with the self-generating process. It could mean a problem in the generator switch, or it could just need the power from the other stations flowing through it to continue..." He trailed off, heading for the facility with a curiosity in his eyes. Once inside, he would try to find the generator room.

The layout is simple and straightforward. Lucien finds the room no problem. They all seemed to have similar - if not the same - layouts.
