So, My Eye Hurts (Mathew/Open)

[Mr. Kaar]

Leon had been meditating since returning from Hades, where Mathew apparently had his soul returned... A small gamble with it afterwards to fix some sort of slow death the augmentations had done. Without knowing the outcome they ripped the genetic mutations from his being and let him wake up.

Durring this meditation however he could feel Qi flow within himself once more. IT was feint, but there... It also felt very different from before... Leon could only guess that it was due to the drain and pass method when Leon gave his Qi to Lucien. But even though it didn't... It didn't feel right.

Leon decided at this point it was time to go see Mathew and hash this out. Leaving his battle gear with Sam since the big bitch with the titties and the issues kind of fucked his stuff up.

Leon'd be off to find Mathew.

[Mathew Amtrum]

Mathew was at his house! And there was a commotion going on inside from the sound of it. Not fighting, and not exactly yelling. But raised voices. Leon could see and listen in if he wanted!


Mathew now aged had just stumbled back home to the surprise of Barker and Gemini who were shocked at what had happened to Mathew in the span of only a few hours. Gemini who was in a long white dress with her blue hair flowing down to her rear. She was hugging Mathew tightly telling him that it was going to be okay. Mathew was trying to tell her it was fine.

Wait was it Mathew? It was way to old to be Mathew right?

"You know. I might be able to fix you up." Barker offered helpfully. "There was an experiment I wa-"

"NO!!!" Mathew and Gemini shouted at Barker in unison.

[Mr. Kaar]

Leon did see and he heard what was going on, he'd pipe in as well.

"Whats going on?"

Leon was genuinely curious now... He'd reach up and rub his right eye a bit.

[Mathew Amtrum]

Mathew turned to face Leon, breaking free of Gemini's grasp with his arrival. He exhaled deeply through his nose. He could go back right now. But he couldn't, he wasn't about to pass on a curse. It just wasn't his way.

"Oh you know. Cursed by pissed off beings that believe themselves to be divine. Another day another dollar."

He tried to pass it off as casual and worth joking over. But Mathew had no defense against it at all. That was something a little concerning. And something that would need to be fixed. The sooner the better in fact.

"Sup with you bitch?"

[Mr. Kaar]

"An aging curse?"

Leon questioned with piqued curiosity.

"You know, I mite be able to fix you up." Leon would offer helpfully. "I've been experimenting with some fruit and-"

[Mathew Amtrum]

"NO!!!!"

Mathew and Gemini would again yell in unison. The gamble fruit was enough of a gamble. And finding out that everything it did could have been done another way, without the risk of side effects. He wasn't really down to be a test subject again just to make himself younger. Honestly, at the moment it seemed to be a good thing. At least Strike didn't know what he looked like now.

[Mr. Kaar]

Leon would reach up and rub his eye again turning to the side and putting the other hand on his hip looking up in a kind of pouty way.

"Geeze fine."

instead Leon would turn back to look at Mathew.

"Actually came to talk to you about what happened after you had Hades put my soul back in my body. Hades wouldn't tell me much other than ripping out the augmentations."

[Mathew Amtrum]

"That's basically what happened. After he put your soul in I asked him to dig around because I was curious about what was done to you. That's when we found out that something was killing you. I asked him to rip it out, he said it was a risk and he didn't know what would happen, and I said it was better than you dying. So we took the gamble."

With Leon's life. Cause if a friend can't gamble with your life without you knowing it then who could?

"I kicked you in the ribs a few times and you woke up. That's about it really."

It wasn't too exciting. It you got past the ripping out souls and parts of someones humanity. Other than that it was like a typical Tuesday. Without nachos.

[Mr. Kaar]

Leon would think for a minute at this.

"Well recently I've been feeling like... Like my Qi is returning."

Leon would say, unsure if it was accurate.

"The device that took my Qi and transferred it to Lucien left me completely drained, even with the most intense meditation I felt nothing... And the Augmentations almost guaranteed no more Qi... I couldn't even hypothesis the possibility of Qi returning, unless Hades messed with something in my existence that changed me spiritually."

Leon would scratch his eye this time.

"But even then I feel like I'm grabbing at straws."

[Mathew Amtrum]

"Well can you really lose Qi? If it is part of your essence and soul. Maybe it was buried and repressed. But I don't think you can really lose it. At least not without losing who you are at some core level."

But Mathew really didn't know. He was still learning so much. So the amount of insight that he could give Leon was limited. He was also not terribly well versed with Hades' abilities or the ramifications of what they had done to Leon. But it had seemed like the best move at the time. There was something else that was bugging him though.

"Why the fuck do you keep fucking with your eyes?"

[Mr. Kaar]

"Cause my eye hurts. Ever since I started meditating its been irritating me."

Yeah he shifted and folded his arms in thought.

[Mathew Amtrum]

Mathew took a few steps back from Leon not wanting to get close to him now. It was clear what was going on, and he wanted none of that shit.

"Dude, did you get fucking Pink Eye?"

That caused Barker and Gemini to edge away from Leon as well, like he was carrying a plague. Which if he had Pink Eye he kind of was. Sort of.

[Mr. Kaar]

"Da fuck is Pink Eye?"

Leon started to freak out a little bit seeing everyone's reaction.

[Mathew Amtrum]

"It's a virus or some this. I never had it but I remember a kid back in third grade got it and it was a big deal. Bunch of people were sent home. It might be lethal."

Mathew wasn't a doctor and had no idea if it was true or not. But he didn't want to take any chances if it was Pink Eye. That shit sounded bad.

[Mr. Kaar]

"What the fuck? Can it be treated?"

Leon would run over to Barker.

"It's treatable, right? You where like a doctor or something."
