"Oh?"
Odin would turn this time to look at Mathew.
"That does sound like it would get these old bones moving again. Have a spot of fun before setting out to war."
Odin would chuckle.
"Chose your arena, and your stipulation."

Mathew smirked before cracking his neck. His arm moving out to signal to those training to make room as he stepped forward. His hand moving to his mace to draw it.
"Right here. The stipulation is no death. Hell, we can do it like we do Dragon bleed ins. Anyone but you or me can step in and call the fight off."
He gave the gathered God's a look that said they better not do it before they had a chance to really gauge each other. But other than that it was out of his hands.

Odin would nod in agreement. "Those are worthy terms." He'd tap the staff on the ground and it would become a light blue all metal spear. "This Gungnir was recently forged by Haphaestus. He came here saying. 'I don't like your old spear, here's a new one.' Rather odd fellow if you ask me, but he knows his smithing." Odin would shrug off the gloak and before it hit the ground the old feeble man became This six foot five inch man in light blue armor.

"Great, so we both get to play with our new toys." He said with a grin, eager to try out his new toy. That is until Odin started to transform.
Now the old man was turning young? Way to rub it in asshole! Mathew rolled his eyes as Odin did his anime magical girl transformation, wondering briefly if this was even his final form.
Once he was standing before Mathew all young and ready to go he would get to contend with Mathew's opening move! Namely Mathew stomping on the ground to try and send an Earth Pillar into Odin as his right arm shot out, extending outwards as the mace head shot toward him.
Think fast old man.

Odin would place the spear vertical in his grip swinging it from one side to the other braking the pillar and side stepping in the process, before swinging it back around to block the coming Mace head, which would clash with the shaft of the spear, as the rock arm extended, so did Odin slide with the force, pushing to the side and away from the arm.
Odin free for a second from the mace, he'd turn the blunt end of the spear to face Mathew before it would extend at an alarming speed for Mathew's stomach.

Pfft, Mathew wasn't going to dodge the stomach shot. Who was he? David? Kiyr? Rai? He was gonna take that gut shot like a man. A manly man. A man who would manipulate the stone arm that Odin avoided to shoot a pillar out of the side of it toward Odin's head.
Because really, the arm was attached to him. It was a weapon holding a weapon. Mathew's flesh arm would move to try and grab the haft of the spear, should he get a good grasp on it he would twist his grip and attempt to yank it out of Odin's hands. Or at least pull him somewhat off balance.

Odin would stick the sharp end into the ground and hold tight to the spear, which would pull him towards Mathew as the gut check would happen and his own grip would happen it would attempt to retract as he pulled, but Odin's grip would drop as he hit the underside of the spear to make the end Mathew had jump up into Mathew's chin.
Probably wouldn't work, but without Odin holding it, it would begin to retract quickly like a rubber band trying to find its original shape again. If Mathew kept hold of it, the snapping force would threaten to throw him off balance as Odin charged Mathew. He had some room to make up.

Odin was fast. That was for sure, he dodged Mathew's trick shot. Mathew's arm started to reform and return to normal as Odin hit the shrinking spear toward Mathew who was distracted by reforming his arm. So it hit him in the face. But he kept hold of it. Meaning he was now dual wielding the Ares war mace and Gungnir.
Needless to say Mathew was fully erect.
Spinning the spear around so the sharp point was facing Odin. The mace firmly held in his other hand. Rushing forward Mathew extended the spear arm. He was working under the assumption that Odin would avoid the spear tip as soon as it started to move forward, so instead of thrusting right at Odin he would thrust the point into the ground. Leaping to the air and spinning on the shaft as his body rotated around it to try and bring the mace head crashing down on his fellow God.

Odin would have slid to a stop by now and held his hands out in front of him, bending his legs to keep himself ready. When the spear came at him, he slid a foot to the side, but when the point went to the ground he looked to Mathew specifically who had a mace coming at him in a crushing motion.
~His posture is very good. Solid as a rock.~
Odin would step in actually to avoid the mace strike, and shoot his own palm strike for the wrist of the hand holding Gungnir, stepping with his motions to avoid being bashed or slammed by the still moving Mathew and grabbing the shaft of the spear. Which was now being double handled by Mathew and Odin.

When Mathew landed he would be at a right angle to Odin with Odin to his left side. Both of them gripping the spear. And with Odin being free to use two hands to Mathew's one he would win that check. But he was learning how the man fought. Minimal movement and conservation of energy, he was defensive, letting Mathew be the aggressor. Mathew's best strategy then was to put Odin in a position where he couldn't avoid attacks and where he would be forced to play aggressive.
Sliding his feet on the ground, the earth below their feet softened to try and have Odin sink in, hardening around his ankles if he didn't avoid it. Mathew throwing his weight at Odin as he released the spear to try and check him to the ground with his knees bent and feet stuck in the stone. Then the plan was ground and pound. Only this way he had a mace to slam into him. Using the bottom of the handle to try and crack him in the head since the goal wasn't to smash his brains out.

Odin was caught after sinking into the ground to his ankles, and was checked to the ground, Odin still had the spear in his hand however and would move it to intercept the mace, a slight show of shock on his face. Mathew was good.
Odin would try to hold back the next few attacks as he put together an escape route. Or at least an opening for an advantage.

And he had Odin on the defensive! That was a good sign, especially for someone as renowned as Odin. And while Odin was holding off his mace attacks Mathew was going to capitalize on the advantage while he had it. He was in it to win it. Slamming his flesh hand into the stone next to Odin he would meld the stone under them to send a series of rapid pillars up from under Odin to attempt to slam him in the back of the head and various parts of the spine.

Odin would twist the spear in two different directions and pulling it apart into two halves. The pillar attacks where damaging, but Odin would extend both spear polls to slam Mathew in the chest and lift him into the air.

Well Mathew couldn't do much about the poles slamming into his chest which would start to lift his body up as the mace came down again to try and crack Odin in the head while he no longer had hands to defend himself with. Mathew's knees would start sinking into the ground as he straddled Odin to try and keep him pinned down. Though this put them both in a rather awkward position.
"Well, this is awkward."
He said with a grin looking down at Odin.

Odin would grin back at Mathew, the spear would glow for a couple of seconds before going back to normal. Odin would have lifted his head to meat the mace lower and sooner in its swing so it didn't have the full force backing the blow.
Odin's hands however would begin extending the spear once more trying to push Mathew up out of the earth he was sinking into. Odin would have his knee's on Mathew's back as the spear would be trying to bend him over Odin's knee's. This would hopefully be enough of a pressure submission to at least do some damage.
However, Odin's head was bleeding.
