Enemy of the Gods (GM)

[Mr. Kaar]

"Yeah I'll be ready, gotta make sure my affairs are in order too."

John would go back over tot he forge and sit, to think at least, if Mathew didn't need anything else.

Mathew needed so much. But not from John. Making his way further into God territory, eating the remaining ingot that had once been the mace of the former Ares, his feet took him to the hero enclave in search of Shion. He had some ideas on Qi and the spirit that he wished to run by someone with much more knowledge than he had. Especially after seeing the change in Leon's eye.

Shion would be looking over a small grappling circle between a pair of Heroes. Pheonix and Cu Culainn.

He waited near the edge of the circle for the fight to be over. Content to watch the fight as he munched on the bindings and ruby's that had once made up the weapon of a God.

He was not familiar with either of the two fighters in the ring however, and was eager to see how they fought. To gauge their strengths and weaknesses. The more he knew about his soldiers the better he could place them in the battles to come.

Cu Chulainn would win by submission. The fight was intense enough, but he was obviously the stronger. Pheonix fought much like a brawler, but liked to hide an attack in the shadow of another. Cu Chulainn had a lot of strength however and he wasn't lacking in the speed department either.

Mathew would note the ingot and the rubies tasted pretty good in all actuality.

But were they better than normal metal and stone? It was his first time eating something that had once had such power and significance. To be wielded into battle, a Qi implanted on it. To be forged with such care. It was almost a shame to consume it.

Mathew clapped his hands as the fight ended. Giving both soldiers a salute and a nod of congratulations before making his way to Shion.

"How does the day find you Shion?"

[Mr. Kaar]

They did taste better than normal stone and metal. Mathew would probably note that his body seemed to automatically allow his teeth to crush and shred the metal and stone and gems.

Shion would turn towards Mathew and nod.

"It finds me well. Yourself?"

Shion would fold his arms not smugly, but simply because he was more comfortable that way.

[Mathew Amtrum]

"Busy. A God's work is never done when war is on the horizon. But some thoughts occurred to me recently about Qi. I was wondering if you had time to spare to discuss this."

Technically Shion was his bodyguard. But they were still in a transitional period. So he was not yet with Mathew full time.

[Mr. Kaar]

"Of course."

He'd give those around a look that meant bugger off. And they would.

[Mathew Amtrum]

"How much do you know about Leon Sudeki? The Lightning Dragon."

He figured some context would make things a bit easier to go into at least.

[Mr. Kaar]

"Not much I'm afraid except that his Qi somehow absorbs energy around him to fuel itself causing an endless loop."

Shion would say, having no knowledge of the events happening to the man.

[Mathew Amtrum]

"Not anymore. He actually gave away his Qi somehow. So someone else has his former abilities. And when me and Hades were rooting around inside of him after he died he somehow manifested another Qi. This tells me a few things."

And gave him a few ideas.

"The first thing is that it is possible to give Qi away, but by getting another Qi he only gave away energy. A manifestation of the energy sure, but energy all the same. This begs the question about what Qi actually is. The fact that it can take a form within someone, and then another form in the same person hints that it may be alive. In some sense of the word."

Maybe not sentient though.

"It makes me wonder. Have you ever heard of anyone giving energy to someone else to power them up? Like a boost? Or have you ever heard of anyone summoning some kind of personification of pure Qi energy to act autonomously?"

[Mr. Kaar]

Shion would visibly twitch at the mention of Leon giving away his energy, the entirety of his power. OF course he gave everything except for his own life which of course would simply chose another part of him to be the manifestation, but Leon had given that entire part of himself up. Not to mention it took at the very least two or three master level Qi users to create anything that could possibly function like that.

"Your friend must of been very strong to accomplish such a thing. Or at least know more about Qi than most. I've heard of it before, but only in writing, old texts and the like. Qi is what it is, if your alive, you have it. I have heard of Qi constructs. One such person among the Zodiac warriors actually does it. His name is Libra, him and his twin brother have very similar abilities."

[Mathew Amtrum]

"Interesting. So both things are possible?"

He clicked his tongue as he took that in. Shion had offered up no information how how it was done. So it was little help. But it was some help.

"Do you have the texts? I would like to see if such a thing could be accomplished without giving up the entirety of your power and self. As for the constructs, I can talk to them about it if you feel they would know more than you do on the subject."

[Mr. Kaar]

"I'll have the texts delivered to your study at the Bank. As for the constructs I myself have never tried it, so they would be the ones to talk to."

Shion would admit in complete honesty. Having no problem admitting he didn't know something as well as someone else.
