Emily had put in a call to the supervisor, asking him to meet her at the gym. Once he got there, he would find a projector in the middle of the room. On the screen was the DVD she had stolen from the archives. She was sitting by the projector in a chair, arm draped over and behind it, the girl sitting sideways. It was a small segment of the DVD that kept replaying- where Asiv was held down by some strange men and injected with a red fluid. It was playing that bit over and over again. Emily took a sip of grape soda, waiting for him to come further into the gym. Once he did, she would point at the screen. "Mind tell me what happened here?" OOC: Asiv first. TAGS: Zack Asiv

Asiv would make his way to the requested gym. Wearing his usual and wondering what the meeting may be about. Besides the loss of Magnus during the riot, he wasn't sure. Maybe she looked into the public records and had more questions. He'd sigh as he walked in looking at the screen and ignoring her words at first.
Asiv would lean against the wall reaching into his suit jacket and pulling out the pack of cigs. Placing one between his lips and lighting it he'd drag slowly before responding.
"The day I said I wasn't going to be The Red Eye'd Coyote anymore."

She stopped the film on the injection being pushed into his eye. He had a relaxed way about him that said "I have nothing to hide", and based on the information she had dug he had plenty to hide. She stood, walking up to the projector and staring at the face of his young self screaming with the injection. She would reach up and touch his youthful cheek, the tips of her fingers scraping lightly over the canvas.
She felt....sorry for him. That he hurt and killed so many, only to have something unfamiliar and foreign pushed into his bloodstream. She turned back to him and looked at the supervisor standing before her now....the monster on that screen must be locked away in there somewhere.
"That tells me nothing."
She walked over to the wall and sat in the chair facing toward him, straddling in. Her arms rested on it's back.
"Who is Dimir..."
She was well aware that the things she was asking was expected. He had, after all, sent her to the archives so he must have known what she would find. No man who had skeletons would point to the closet they lie in. However, she wanted to see if he reacted to any of it- any of the information she found in the folders that were stashed somewhere in the city.
"....and why does he appear in my file, hiding something from me?"

Asiv shrugged when she said that told her nothing, but that was all he'd say on the matter of that particular set of memories. The question of Dimir made Asiv close his eyes and let out the smoke he inhaled... However the mention of her own file made him open his eyes and lock them onto Emily's with a side view.
[Perception Check: Fail]
"Ten years ago Dimir suggested the Pillar system be used for the betterment of the safety for faculty and students, by using their own system of electing a School Captain and using it to allow the students a chance to represent and police themselves within the school system. Dimir was a Supervisor, much like I am now. However as for his mention in your file... I was unaware. May I see it?"
Obviously it wouldn't matter if she showed him or told him he would find out once back in his own office.

She reached over to the small table the files rested on and walked it over to him. She was well aware he had access to all this. She would stop in front of him, offering it to him. She was also well aware that he had probably known about her own file for a while. There was no way a self-respecting school official was going to let a school be run by people they knew nothing about. She distrusted people in power for the simple truth of it- that they would do what they had to in order to remain there, or get more.
She was the exception to her rule.
If someone came along and beat her, she would see them as more worthy to hold the title. She wouldn't fight it, she'd welcome it. This man, however, was hellbent on either acting oblivious or, perhaps, was kept in the dark. In which case, she needed to find the puppet-master who pulled his strings from the shadows.
"He stated there was something I must not know about."
She turned around, walking over to the lights along the wall and flipping them on. She would strut back over to him and stick her hands in the front pockets of her jacket, heaving a long sigh.
"You know...I like you. You remind me of my...well, someone I lost many years ago. But it seems like you play dumb to things I ask sometimes or you just refuse to answer. Someone in your position....they aren't dumb. Anything I can dig up and find questions about, you can too. The difference is, you have the power to find the answers. You have the connections. Assuming you don't know them already."
She glanced back up at the screen.
"I'd like to trust you Asiv. But you're make it very hard."

Asiv would take the folder and open it, scanning the bits that weren't redacted. However, something stuck out to him.
"This is a dictation. A... recording of a recording written down by a third party, which means Dimir may have been speaking to someone... Is there something that should be kept from you?"
Asiv mused before she spoke about him not being dumb.
"No one has asked me the right questions yet."

"Between a Captain and her Commander, there shouldn't be right or wrong questions. There should just be questions, and Answers."
She took the folder back once he was done and shook her head.
"I don't know. I went through a lot of therapy after my dad died, so there could be plenty i don't remember."
She would walk over and set the folder on the stands before pulling down her hood.
"What is the Correctional Facility? You were there, for a while, so you must know what it's like."

Asiv listened, seemed there was plenty of missing pieces to the over all puzzle. Her statement may be true, but her statement on trust earlier would of been his response.
"When I was taken there I was drugged out of my mind. Coming out of that was disorienting. It's a large rehabilitation center where they try to figure out what makes you, you. They ask a lot of questions and run even more tests. Some of it makes no sense, but it must of done something 'cause I was out in two years."

She hummed.
"And Mr. Kaar? The director of the SHCP? You guys were friends at one time. In the video, you were fighting like you were partners. What's his story after 259 fell? Who is the screaming girl? I assume you've seen the video, since you're the one who told me to dig there."
Emily fully understood she was giving him all the information he expected- might as well see what planned responses he had in store for her.

Asiv nodded.
"Mr. Kaar joined the military and served a couple of years before we found each other again. I told him what I was doing and he wanted in. The girl..."
Asiv's eye's seemed to... Blank out, as if no light were reflecting off them, dull, lifeless. A twitch in his right eye brow before he reached up to scratch his head.
"I don't remember..."

That.....was not comforting.
Emily stared into Asiv's eyes watching his reaction to the girl. He seemed to be ready to respond, but it was almost like a trigger had been pulled in his head. Turning and walking over to the video, she played it again, pausing it on the flash of the screaming girl. Setting down the remote, Emily would turn around to watch Asiv.
"You don't remember? I find that hard to believe."
Emily would leave it there, continuing to analyze Asiv's reaction. Giving him a few moments. If he still didn't remember, she'd move on to the last thing she wanted from him.
"I want you to train me. Make me stronger. A better fighter. Someone capable of beating anyone, even you."
How was that for blunt?

Asiv looked away from the screen while she spoke, putting his hands in his pockets. Then she asked him to train her.
"That is an odd request... Fine. Meet me at the field tomorrow before school."

"Okay."
She turned to look back at the screen that he was clearly refusing to meet. She gave it a moment of silence.
"Let's hope a year from now, two years from now....there isn't another Captain standing where I am, showing you a video of me like that. And if there is...I pray to God you'll at least remember me."
She would shut the screen off, finally, and drop the remote before leaving the gym.
If he stayed, she'd pause outside the door to listen, in case he made a call or spoke to himself before leaving.

Asiv would drop his cigarette to the ground as she left and step on it, putting it out. He'd reach for another one and put it in his mouth without lighting it and would take a heavy sigh.
"The Red Eyed Coyote will appear from the fog of war and laugh... So much for your prophecy old man."
Asiv would move to take the cd, and then leave.

Red eyed coyote....old man....hmmm. There was more to this than he was letting on, as she suspected. She thought of Mel immediately- the girl was uncertain about Emily. About her mission. Thought her...paranoid. Emily could understand that reaction. But everyone wanted something in this world, and she had a feeling that something was already happening here she wasn't going to want. But...who else was there? Asiv was secretive but didn't seem the type to hurt anyone.
Emily left before Asiv even emerged. She still had her copy of the CD on a remote server inaccessible except through direct connection. She didn't care what he did with it in the end.
She had more work to do.
