I've Got This... (Leon/Mission)

[Leon]

No symbols but there is something popping up on top! Hard to make out at their angle but it's definitely there.

Alex kneeled on the ground continuing to look for something it seemed.

[Bailey Oleander]

Interesting! "I think there's something up there.

"What if it's not running on just wires? What if it's storing energy somehow?" She'd heard of pre-war tech from her step-father, but other than how it used to work in theory, she had nothing.

The fact that Alex is looking down at the ground, so Bailey looked down to see what he was doing.

"What are you looking for?"

[Leon]

"Uh... Hmm... There are no other wires. Nothing else that I can see. Just this lone cable that vanishes into nothingness."

He would stand up putting his glasses back on and look to Bailey.

"Let us check the roof then."

Alex would wander around the shack like building looking for a way to climb up.

[Bailey Oleander]

Again with the no answers.

"Alright." Sighing softly, Bailey looked down to see if there was anything that might indicate what Alex was looking for other than sensing the wire. As he goes around the building, she clean the lenses on her glasses. Because staring up at a light means she can see every smudge.

[Leon]

Bailey see's only first and rocks. There is a patch of grass.

"Found a ladder!"

Alex would call out waiting for Bailey. Once there he would let her go first and follow behind to the top where they would find!

Flat square panels, lining the entire roof and some up on stands pointed at the sun. Every single smaller panel in the large scheme of things was broken.

With nothing for her to see, Bailey would join Alex up on the ladder! She stepped to the side, taking in the roof panels that were all destroyed and pointed the out as he joined her. She'd also walk the area, looking to see if the damage was recent and if there was rooftop access to the building or not.

[Leon]

Bailey would notice the panels had been broken for some time, as told by the dust, rocks, and branches all over the place. She would however find a hole in the roof, surrounded by broken glass, obviously used to be a window of some kind. This time though when she looked to Alex, she would notice his face... His eyes more specifically were very different from normal.

"Looks like each panel was purposely stabbed by something. Each point of breaking is directly in the middle."

[Bailey Oleander]

He suddenly was a lot more interesting. Bailey's curiosity piqued, but she figured pointing out the change directly would be rude. She'd start to make her way to the hole, looking at the glass as Alex mentioned the damage being done on purpose. That matched up with the idea of pre-war tech trying to destroy what it could when things went out of control.

"If you don't mind my asking, Mr. Geschichte, what exactly is it you're capable of seeing? It seems like we have some similarities, but not quite." And it would be easier to know where they might overlap.

Bailey would take a few steps closer to the hole, testing the ceiling to make sure it wouldn't cave. She'd take a moment to see if she could sense anything below them other than whatever was below the building, just in case.

[Leon]

Alex would look to Bailey this time. Standing.

"Uh... I can see things of my choice. Nothing supernatural like energy but... Through things, long distances, people, locations. They will supposedly develop with time to do any number of odd things."

Alex would fold the coat back on his left arm to reveal an eastern black dragon tattoo snaking around his arm. Bailey would not recognize it.

"I'd rather just help the world grow instead of worrying about my ability."

[Bailey Oleander]

"I see." His words actually brought a warm smile to her face as she nodded. "I agree. I just want to make sure I know what we're working with in case we notice the same thing." She noticed the dragon tattoo, but didn't comment on it since she didn't recognize it. It was definitely interesting, but so was that hole in the roof.

"I don't suppose there's any climbing gear we can use?"

[Leon]

Once again he would remove his glasses and move to the hole looking in he would nod.

"Maybe not climbing gear, but."

Alex would jump down landing hard with a grunt, both legs bending before standing up straight.

"I will catch you. A side effect of these eyes increase my physical attributes quite a bit."

Bailey spots a trap door, and notices the building is empty except for that.

[Bailey Oleander]

Bailey reached out to try nd stop Alex from breaking his neck, but he had already jumped and apparently landed with ease. She peered down at him as he explained why climbing gear wouldn't be needed and silently hoped he didn't skip leg day if they couldn't exit through a door.

"Okay..." She was definitely feeling the damsel moment, but didn't stop to point out the trap door first. "Just be careful. Looks like we have another way down in the far corner." Or something's way up. She pointed to the trap door, jumping down when Alex was ready.

The room appeared otherwise empty, but she'd take a moment to listen and see if they could hear anything that might match up with what they've seen and sensed so far.

[Leon]

No noises in the room, but from the trap door... There was a slow mechanical squeak noise that seemed to be rhythmic and constant keeping perfectly timed.

"Squeak... Squeak... Squeak."

Alex would look around the room having caught her and placed her down successfully.

"I can't... See anything besides the room."

This information still disturbed him.

[Bailey Oleander]

"Have you ever had issues like this before?" She'd focus on the energy coming from below as they spoke, the squeaking drawing attention. Is it a consistent volume, as well, or does it sound like it's getting closer?

[Leon]

The squeaking is consistently exactly the same.

"No... I've always been able to see through anything I wanted, including illusions and the like."
