I've Got This... (Leon/Mission)

[Bailey Oleander]

"Yes." Bailey closed her eyes and took a deep breath, feeling the tree settle again. She opened her eyes and continued, unsure how ot prove her heart to this...being. It couldn't be just a mere tree.

"If this darkness is spreading, I want to do whatever I can to stop it. This world was nearly destroyed once. We all need time to heal."

[Leon]

"With you I will travel. Judge the Darkness and judge you will be my course."

And a light would cover her right hand, an emerald green growing over the back of the hand wrapping the wrist looking like bark.

Bailey would wake on the branch the trees warmth and energy gone. As if no time had gone by at all she'd be able to see the soldier still putting away the radio. However her hand was covered in the new entity.

And like that, everything was as it had been, or nearly. Bailey looked down at her hand, the tree's words still in her ears as the sight of green caught her attention, the bark-like wrapping soon to follow. So that was what the tree intended.

Also, she now had a talking tree on her hand. Swaying a little, she gently removed her hand from the tree. She'd flex her fingers, getting a feel of it as she tried to see how the energy from the tree felt now.

Then she'd hop down from the tree!

[Leon]

Bailey would not nothing out of the ordinary out of the tree thing on her hand as if it lay dorment.

However Alex would be fiddling with cables trying to decipher the pre war set up.

"Find anything?"

[Bailey Oleander]

Interesting. She would have to look into it later. They had a mission right now.

"Yes?" Her voice rose a little at the end with uncertainty as she looked at the tree, then back to the crystal before settling on Alex again.

"Do you have anyone stationed near one of the doors that can provide a status update on them?" Since they had the same symbol that was on the tree.

[Leon]

Alex continued playing with the wires checking what must have been archaic and impossibly barbaric technology.

"If anything would of changed at the doors we would of been informed."

At that outside the shack however they would hear a voice.

"Yooooooohooooo~, let me in please and show me this marvelous Crystal."

[Bailey Oleander]

"In that case, I will need to re-examine the door. I believe discovering the symbol on the tree may have changed things." She started to raise a hand to show the changes to her right hand, feeling odd and a little reluctant to show it to him. It always felt weird when you were the specimen rather than the one doing the studies.

She stopped at the sound of the voice, her coat sleeve falling back over her hand. She looked up at where the voice came from.

"There's a ladder around the back! You'll have to go through the entrance on the roof!" She looked back to Alex, her voice at a normal tone again as she tried not to wince at her own volume.

"Are you willing to help our assistant down here, Mr. Geschichte?" Considering it was quite a jump from teh roof to the base level. The trap door would be easy enough to handle.

[Leon]

Just as Alex was going to say something they had a new arrival. He ignored it for now and went to help however the man himself came flipping in landing with a dashing flare and a smile. He was tall and slender with long blonde hair. He wore a well maintained and pressed white three piece suit. Holding a brief a he would flick his hair over his shoulder as he stood upright.

"Helloooo~"

He'd give a bow and return to his upright state, only just now being struck by instant shock and awe.

"Oh my..."

He'd drop the case and reach up to his face in disbelief. His eyes glassing over with tears.

"It's beautiful."

He'd rush over and basically latch his entire body to it as it spun ever so slowly.

Whatever Bailey was expecting, it wasn't this, though perhaps she should have. The blonde took a step back, closer to Alex as the Professor came flipping down the trapdoor themselves with enough grace and balance to make a cat envious. Waving when he bowed, Bailey gave their new assistant some space for a few moment, though she agreed with the beauty of the crystal he was drawn in by. She'd been the same way, herself.

He also kind of reminded her of Leon.

"We were able to pinpont a high energy level from the crystal and a possible source for it. Have you seen anything like it before, Professor?"

[Leon]

"Actually yes."

The professor would release the Crystal and return to his case to bring it over.

"During the war the Dragons discovered Crystal energy. It was able to hold and maintain, even produce energy through a charge. Using it as a weapon or Qi enhancement. Cabal uses it now for our power and the tech that prevents killing on campus. However in a MUCH smaller scale. This... There is no telling what they planned to use this for. A weapon, a long lasting energy source..."

He began hooking his case up to the Crystal.

"Anything I should know about?"

[Bailey Oleander]

Bailey listened intently, with all the enthusiasm of a five year-old in a candy store. She nodded at the explanation and spoke up on her findings.

"I believe it is equally possible that a weapon may be powered by this. There are doors throughout the area that all lead to hear with a steady stream of energy. It could be powering them to remain shut, though we don't know what's behind them yet." She pointed to where the tree was. "It's also possible that much energy had other side effects."

[Leon]

He looked at the tree and then his brow furrowed.

"We know Qi beasts are a product of residual energy infecting wildlife awakening power in them... Are you saying this crystals energy possibly infected this plant from twenty or more years of residual energy?"

[Bailey Oleander]

"Possibly, yes." She was really feeling the regret now, taking a step towards the tree. It may be on her hand now, but she didn't want it to be cut down for study.

[Leon]

Alex looked at the tree then at Bailey.

"Perhaps we can commission the Supervisors to be allowed to establish a near by research base on location."

The man finished hooking up the briefcase to the Crystal.

"Alright. Let's fire it up and get some measurements."

Alex would wander over to the open briefcase with monitor inside. The professor rolled back his sleeves a bit showing bracelets with small blue crystals on them, glowing and projecting controls much like Bailey would know from her territory as a tool that can give her visual easy control over any tech that has been scanned to measure and analyze.

"Well... One thing is for sure. A single Crystal like this could power one of the large territories for fifty years."

[Bailey Oleander]

Bailey nodded with a relieved sigh at Alex's suggestion. "Yes, I think that would be the best solution." She'd join the others to see what the analysis would show, noticing the bracelets and the technology then used.

"That much? Where was it stored before the crystal?" Or was this a technology they hadn't seen before?

Bailey would look at the visuals on the crystals if possible!
