Not a Drill (Speed Event)

Emily was just as bored.

"Sounds good to me, Captain. Whatever you decide, i'll follow."

She drew her sword, shadow snaking over the blade as she'd follow.

They'd arrive and she'd see them in the distance as she hung off an opening jeep door, a chill ran up her spine. But they, in the end, were just bugs and that was all she needed to know.

She heard Eric the petite Avice, gave him a silent nod. "I got yee." Stepping on to the ground she'd face the challenge and already using her heightened senses to try and see what she could

Allen unloaded, nodding to Eric.

"We heading with the spear, or elsewhere?"

He was content to allow Eric to lead, as he knew he had more to learn than the others of the group in that area.

[Rhona Hall]

She'd smile to David and already be walking ahead of the captain. She was positively glowing right now and couldn't help but be excited as fuck

[Leon]

John would give his affirmative as he jogged after David.

Krane smirked.

"Fine, lets go with the Spear. See if we can't keep them alive diving head first into the battle."

Krane would run off behind them.

Eric would sense a familiar tug straight ahead from the gem.

Avice's senses let her see the large creatures going around a building ahead, chasing something.

The Scorpions however did not give them time to complete everything as ahead of Blake Scorpions broke through the ground like an ambush predator.

He pointed in the direction the Gem pointed him toward.

"We go this way. Ignore all distractions that we can. This should take us to the leader."

He'd take off in a jog straight ahead, mop up crew could handle to ambush scorpions.

"We will be dealing with the Low tribe of Qi Beasts. They distrust and hate humans seeing us as agents of destruction. They will take great pride in killing us, so let's give them a challenge."

[Blake Oleander]

Blake's chest erupted in energy as the ground in front of them erupted with scorpions. The blast looking to fry them all indiscriminately!

"We move!  Push on and kill anything that gets in our way!"

Blake draws the rapier and charges! 

[David B.]

David would point at the building that the scorpions were rushing around.

"Kill the beasts, search the building for survivors."

David would head around the back side to keep more from approaching, but would be stopped by them erupting out of the ground. Rather than pause, he ran through, whipping his sword up to cut through the lead one and keep moving, allowing his companions to deal with the others.

[Bailey Oleander]

And with that, they were off! Bailey would follow in Blake's wake, looking to cover their rear in case more scorpions sprouted up behind them or tried flanking. She'd also try to keep tabs on how crispy the creatures would be, or if her partner would need a boost!

Allen nodded. Surgical strike. Smart.

He'd follow Eric without argument, looking to Avice and giving a nod.

"I'm Allen, by the way. Pleasure."

Then keep moving.

"Eric!" She'd call to his attention while spearing ahead. "Something already has their attention."

A huge mess was happening with the beast of a man from before the one that returned her backpack. He was all in and so she'd stick with her partner. She heard his information and took it in but she felt it had to be known they might have some objective if they are intelligent.

Blake's chest cannons rips a huge hole int he ambush as the Scorpions move to give the jeep room to pass. However those that did get to the sides would raise their tails, firing what appeared to be lasers from them at Blake and Bailey! However following behind them would be Krane who fired his own sprit blast killing some from one side of what Blake missed. As Blake Charged he would come up to a Scorpion that would raise a claw and aim to crush him with it!

[Dominick King]

"Shit! Fuck! Hell! Shit!" Dominick would erupt in profanities as giant scorpions began to erupt from the ground around them! There was a moment where the fear took over his reasoning and for an instant he believed he could maybe fight one. Then reality hit. "Nope. Nope. Nope." He'd take off at a sprint into a nearby building. Fighting was out of the question, but rescue civilians? He could do that! Dom would search the building for survivors.

John would listen to Davids orders pulling out his hammer and smiling wide as he caught fire for a moment.

"Oh yeah, time to smash."

He would rush out towards the building!

"Come on Rhona!"

Eric and the others would not be interrupted by the scorpions as the thread is established by the Spear Head, the scorpions move to attack!

[Blake Oleander]

Blake would leap out of the Jeep to try to avoid the laser, but more importantly to try and impale the scorpion in it's head, his arm bulging and twisting to the Beast's claw midair.
