Cabal was quiet. Like, weirdly quiet. There was no hustle of business, no loud voices, sometimes a scuffle but even those tended to be in check. Yet despite the few similarities it had to home, it was just so...odd. So orderly. Cute and fictional, but WRONG.
The young girl's path meandered towards the training field as thoughts to home came to mind. It had different terrain, and with it reminders of the desert she had known all her life. An endless see of dirt and dust that coated a cracked, glorious gem at the center now that the world had gone boom-boom. But even that didn't keep her for long as she made her way back to the main grounds as the sun worked its way past the horizon. The peace shattered as readily as the bark that splintered and broke off, a cloud of dust rising up where the blow had landed.
“Uggggh, why am I getting SENTIMENTAL?!” She slammed a fist into a nearby tree, cursing and yelling more as she raised her arm to block the debris from hitting her in the face.
“THIS. IS. STUPID!!”

Blake's morning routine had been long set. Early morning and late night training by himself. Afternoon training with his partner, with some meditation, carving and reading in between. It was a life that blended together, each day much like the last. And he was starting to despise the peace and routine that he'd achieved here. He'd grown to accept the beast that was constantly thrashing in the back of his head, to bring more of its power forth and to wield it as a weapon.
Through the beast, he had grown more powerful than ever, but it meant accepting what he was. A freak, like everyone else in this place. And while it was a far cry from home he'd grown comfortable here. And that had its own dangers. He didn't want this to be his new life, and he was dangerously close to slipping into this routine forever.
The explosion, however, was enough to draw his attention. Explosions were a show of force, of power. And that is what he needed now. He was growing dull, he needed to hone his edge again. Rushing to the scene he'd see the only person around was a small child. That mattered not in a place like this, she was a monster. Like him.
"Did you do this?"

Glaring at the tree as if it'd just insulted her mother, Tina brushed the debris from her clothes with a scowl that deepened at the arrival of an another boy. Great. Even worse, he was asking about the explosion. She wasn't sure if he was going to play babysitter or punishes, given how most people reacted to her.
"Yeah, so?" She stood straight, her scowl now on the man as if daring him to do something about it. Part of her wished she would. Something other than words, than this quiet place. "What, you a tree hugger or something? Do I need to apologize?"

"No."
To both of her questions. Instead, he'd draw his blade, his traditional one from home. Fitting considering where his mind was.
"I want you to try and destroy me... If you can."

This dude was weird, too. Still, Tina turned to face him head on as he drew his sword like something you heard out of old stories.
"Destroy you? Really?" She remembered how well that worked in her last fight, but hey, if that was how they did things here, she'd learn to roll. Maybe. Most people didn't ask to be destroyed.

"Whatever works for you, my dude." Shrugging it off, Tina didn't step down from the challenge. This one didn't laugh at her or babysit her. Least she could do was give him a workout.
She'd charge at the guy, ducking low and aiming a kick at his kneecap!

Oh he wouldn't babysit her. Or go easy on her. This was to be a contest of power. He'd unleash the beast within, the muscles in his right arm ripping and bulging as his tunic tore, unable to handle the massive and rapid explosion of growth of his monsterous arm. The sickening sound of bones popping and cracking filled the air between them as Blake slashed at the girl, the blade moving in an upward slash from left to right. He wouldn't bother trying to dodge her, if she avoided his blade she deserved to strike him. Qi use 1/20
Monsterous Claw - His right arm morphs and cracks into a monstrous claw that adds 3/4 of his energy to his attack stats while the transformation is +8 Def while active

Holyshitwhatwasthat?
Tina didn't stop the attack as the sound of crackling bones and other painful echoes roared from above her, already having to deal with a blade that was coming at her without mercy. She sucked in a breath between her teeth as she felt the steel bite into her flesh, a trickle of blood already forming along her side as she was knocked away. The little blonde slammed a fist into the hand that held the sword when it connected, skidding on her back before she rolled back over and onto her feet.
The world was more than just a little wobbly as the blonde got back to her feet with a quiet "heh," as it felt like even her breath made her bones rattle.
Zero Ability: Tina is able to charge an object and make it EXPLODE! 1/4 Energy stat damage if exploded that post or 1/2 energy explosion if it explodes the next post. Qi Uses: 1/5. (5 Attack; explosion goes off on the next round of posts)

Blake had no idea what was going to happen to him when the girl hit his hand. But for the moment nothing did happen, and he thought little of it as the girl was sent flying back having taken the brunt of his sword's attack. The blade glowed a sickening and dark purple as it slashed at her, the energy seeping into the wound as he flicked his sword away from her. His blade would glow black as it absorbed strength from the festering pain that he'd inflicted on this girl. He wouldn't go easy on her, she was not his partner, and he wanted her to throw everything she had at him. If she could destroy that tree she had to be able to do SOMETHING to him. He needed her to do something to him, desperately. With a roar he'd charge forward swinging his midnight blade for her midsection, his blood pumping with venom and his heart roaring in fury! Qi use 3/20
Monsterous Claw - His right arm morphs and cracks into a monstrous claw that adds 3/4 of his energy to his attack stats while the transformation is +8 Def while active
Blake: Sun & Moon - Blake has discovered a new sword technique, By channeling the fury and hatred of the sun, along with the monstrous power he naturally possesses the blade can either explode in a ray of solar energy at any time the wielder chooses to cause a knockback effect (Can propel wielder if allowed), doing Blake's total energy in damage, or can feed off a festering opponent adding the damage done by the infection to the blades damage calculations up to Blake's full energy.
Once per thread a landed blow with this blade will fester as it's dark energy continues to sear the wound dealing 3/4th of the attack's damage again for four consecutive posts.
Monster Claw attack 71
Fester damage 53 post 1/4
Fester (up to max energy) plus attack = 112
Incoming attack = 112

The world went from black, to purple, to black again. Tina remembered trying to dodge, remembered her body lurching but not moving as it should have as the full extent of Blake's attack would hit her without mercy. The little blond was practically a pancake as she hit the ground, a slight smirk on her face still even as she passed out from the sheer force of the attack!
"Not bad," she managed to wheeze as the world went black again.
/Tina is now unconscious. Yay!

He'd growl in frustration as the girl dropped to the ground, her body slack as thought and will left her body. Another disappointment courtesy of Cabal. For a building full of freaks, all of them were under him except for maybe the Dragons. Maybe, every time he fought them he felt himself closer to their level. It was only a matter of time before his beast helped him overpower them too.
He would sheathe his blade with sorrow, this had once again been a waste of his time. The thrill of the fight was fleeting, and in the end, it left him feeling hollow. Empty. He'd leave her for someone to find or to wake up on his own, he didn't want to waste more time and effort on her.
