Physical Appearance
Kiyr is a very tiny woman. In fact, she can frequently make herself look years younger, depending on the clothes she puts on. From wide blue eyes and a softly heart-shaped face, she exudes something of an innocent "protect me" aura, even though she doesn't mean to. Overall she is slender, but with muscle tone from years of gymnastics and other physical activities, though her hands are still soft and rather small.

Still, there's no mistaking her for a male: she's curved in all the right places, but not overbearingly so.

Her hair is rather thick, and when left in wavy-curls, makes her appear younger, unless she's put makeup on. Her hair colour is what some describe as "light dirty blonde" - she prefers to call it "honey blonde" - though changes to a brighter and almost "true blonde" in the sun, and does have a natural curl. She has a tendency to braid it when she's not worming her way into groups.

Depending on the distance, her eyes are either a crystalline, vibrant blue; from further away they appear almost grey.

Physical Activity
From ballet, to gymnastics, to soccer and baseball, and so on. Kiyr tends to prefer sports and physical activities that depend on herself, or her range of motion and balance, over those requiring a team effort, but she still enjoys them nonetheless. She has energy to burn and is almost constantly on the move; this provides a small distraction for her mind, as well, as she'll have to concentrate on something.

A Different View Up Here
It started out as an awkward, slow hobby. A way to tire her body out, even after a day of running around doing goodness knows what. Kiyr used to sneak out of her home at night, scaling the house and eventually venturing further away. She's an avid partaker of parkour, and despite her smaller size, she can run and keep up with some of the best.

Reading and Writing
Yeats, Chaucer and Shakespear, to - in secret - romance novels, mystery, suspense, Kiyr can devour books if given the time to do so, whether it's by herself, her family, or other means. She also enjoys project writing and creative writing; essays to poetry, and beyond. Some of her reading and writing satisfy her thirst for knowledge, while others are purely for her own enjoyment. Reading also brings out her love and passion for learning, and of languages. These days she doesn't have the opportunity to read much, but a certain "Santa" left her a book (Les Misérables) underneath a tree of painted bird feathers...

Despite constantly thinking, Kiyr has an excellent memory and can recall things that are probably completely insignificant to the person she's talking to.

Due to being a quiet observer and as unobtrusive as possible, Kiyr's hearing tends to be sharper than your average Joe's. This is not to say if she's a room away that she could hear someone whispering into someone's ear, just that she's constantly listening to the world around her.

French. English. The girl has a passion for languages and has even studied old Latin, as well as several other languages. While her background means she's most fluent in French and English, it does not deter her from learning more. She took several years of Latin in school, and found a particularly intriguing language, "Carpathian" to heart for some of the lessons taught through it in a book she had once read.

You should Walk with Bells On!
It's Kiyr's nature to be quiet and unobtrusive while listening, so she's developed a way of walking that is almost completely silent. Despite walking around with two metal bands around her ankle, they almost never make a sound.

Kiyr is capable of using her 'innocence' and appearance to infiltrate areas and places to take what she needs for survival. Who would suspect the plain, unassuming girl with the wide, blue eyes?

Observing
One may wonder why this is a skill--for the past several years Kyrie has had to fend for herself. This was most easily done by observing people and their habits and then formulating a believable story - often taking the guise of a young girl with a plea for help - to take what food, water, and items she needed to survive for no more than a day or two. This ties in with the point directly above.

Basic Medical Knowledge
Because her sister was already gearing up for Med School, often times Kyrie would help Arianna to study and increase her knowledge to make entrance into college easier--this, coupled with Family Volunteer work, gives her a better knowledge base than most of your average people.

History

Kyrie Barrial has lead a comfortable life since she was born to her parents, Alexander and Gabriella Barrial. The family could trace their lineage back with Patents, and both were among the old "nobility" for both their French and British backgrounds. However, a title is merely a title in this day and age, and Kiyr will quietly keep her own title of privilege a secret, along with her first name.

Her family, though by no means rich, was well off and could comfortably care for their family. Kiyr is not the youngest child in her family, but the middle. She has four siblings, two older, two younger.

Not hard done by, but not of incredibly wealthy stock meant she was able to attend a private school (though to be fair, they were all sent to the Public School System until their high school years) but still had to work for what she had. If she wanted to play sports - and she did, almost driving her parents crazy with the sheer amount of activities she wanted to take part in - she had to earn it. Earn it she did. Piano, dance, soccer, baseball, school-hosted sports, she was there with almost endless energy.

Add to it a healthy thirst and appreciation for knowledge, and Kiyr had her schedule full. She never seemed to grow resentful of it, only worked harder to continue excelling at things. So while she played baseball, her mind raced ahead to homework, essays, poetry, what she would be doing later, while she focused on the game at hand.

Despite a full life, it hasn't been terribly eventful with sorrow and drama.

Well, until Barker changed the world.

Her world was turned upside down, and the area she used to live in became horrible and desolate; her family, deceased. Kiyr turned her skills on and cranked the dial to eleven, and so far, has managed to survive "comfortably" upon other people's "charity".

Over the past twenty years, Kyrie found a family through a gang called The Dragons, and eventually came to find that her elder sister Arianna was actually alive as well. The Great War found her family torn apart with David to start, when he called down an F5 tornado in Oregon and Washington that lasted nine hours and caused much devastation. He was ripped apart. Then a year later, he popped up like a daisy with Cabal after the accords were signed, remembering next to nothing. Kyrie herself walked away from the bindings, just like the pragmatic Earth Dragon, feeling that that kind of restraint - while she could see the benefits from such restrictions - was not best for the world as it stood, and that she should be free to contribute to the betterment of society without being held under the thumb of this new world authority. She disappeared with Damien Blaze but tried to contact her sister to bring her with. Ultimately, that failed; it was shortly after that she gave Hyperion back the Titan Circle he'd bestowed upon her, and Einrik was allowed to return to Hyperion's side.

When word was heard of David's survival, Kyrie moved to try and bring him into the fold. Due to his amnesia and neither her or Damien knowing the absolute cause...it was difficult if not impossible, and resulted in a fight breaking out between the two.

Their battle was so intense that Kyrie (in a last-ditch effort to subdue the man who no longer remembered his true self and that he had a particular abhorrence for being chained down) summoned the Dragon from the Doomed World. But by its very nature, once unleashed, the Dragon cannot be fully controlled. The payoff would have been worth the cost, though, as Kyrie fed and poured all the energy she could into the attack. Alas, the resulting backlash left her broken and drained, and while she certainly did a number on David by knocking him out...Cabal's retrieval team arrived, forcing Damien to drag her ravaged and unconscious form away. Recovery was a long and hard road, with the tiny blonde struggling for five years afterward for some sort of foothold on her strength and abilities. Five years after that fight found her spending time with the Earth Dragon and their family, which enabled her to make better progress than the five previous years.

However, it seemed like tragedy was always nipping at their heels. Death came a few years ago for Bastille and the girls, and eventually with Mathew Amtrum following where she couldn't yet walk. The losses - especially Evelyn and Aryanna - were devastating. She attended The Earth Dragon's funeral as it was agreed to be a ceasefire and no fighting nor captures would be made. It was there she received the gauntlet she now wears.

By now Kyrie has regained about half her former strength and she continues vying to return to her former levels of power. So far she's been overlooked as being too weak to be a threat...which is exactly what she wants the world to continue to believe.

Personality

Kiyr very much seems to be a solitary individual with some issues in trust. She tends to stay quiet, out of necessity, but as well as the fact her mind is constantly working, constantly thinking. Some might describe it as paranoia, or at the very least obsessive thinking. For example, any time she enters into a room, the first things she notes are exits, objects of use, and then the people within the room.

She can be somewhat naive at times, and could potentially be easily swayed to the "good" or "evil" factions if it came down to it. Overall, she's not "bad", or even "wishy-washy" necessarily, as she does have a very firm set of morals and beliefs. The problem lies in that she can see and empathize with many different sides and people.

While working to survive, she very much exudes the "I'm young and innocent, you need to help me" vibe, and it works.

She's geared towards survival in this world, and thus far has had the drive to sustain her life through enduring the hard times to see her dreams of a family come to fruition. Kiyr has a peculiar, sharp wit, very dry when its roused. The times she does "relax" somewhat and allow this edgy humour to come out, she tends to surprise those around her with it.

Around most acquaintances she remains quietly composed and watchful, though she will converse and interact. She simply remains guarded and somewhat distant, but isn't outright unfriendly or hostile.



Upon getting to know the petite blonde, one thing becomes very apparent: despite her quiet and composed outer shell, she is a deeply emotional and very passionate person, filled with love and understanding. Even despite recently being molested, it hasn't changed the core of who she is. Those that manage to wriggle their way to this point are gifted with seeing this side, but also with small touches - depending on the person - or hugs, as well as more frequent and larger smiles.

She is an accepting individual in relation to other people and who they are - with all their strengths and weaknesses - and has been raised to be conscientious of her choices and the impact they have on herself and others.

Wing Chun / Wing Tsun

Kiyr had finally convinced her parents to let her try Wing Chun about three years ago. It's a fluid style that requires precise positioning and movements to use your opponent's strength and force against them via deflections and rapid strikes. It does not require a lot of strength to use, as the power comes from aligning your centre of mass to your opponent's with rapid blows that will cause your opponent to buckle.

Shadowstalker

Kiyr's qi enables her to pass into shadows to enter what she refers to as "The Shadow Plane". Entrances and exits are marked by a rather jolting sensation of being flipped for those not used to passing between the two planes. Once within, upon looking towards her feet (down in perspective, but technically "up"), she can view the regular plane through the ground she walks on. If someone was standing in the shadow she is currently inhabiting, in other words, they could be standing feet-to-feet.

The Shadow Plane is a realm cast in charcoals, grays, greys, silvers, and whites; it gives it a quality that one is watching or part of an old movie. One can, however, differentiate between the Shadow Plane and Normal Plane in that the view to the Normal Plane one is able to see colours, but faintly. Typically the brighter the colour, the more visible it is.

Another unique trait of the Shadow Realm is the distortion of sound. At basic levels, it seems like sound is muffled and rather distorted. One can - with some difficulty - differentiate words from the normal plane. Any noise within the Shadow Realm itself is also distorted. A higher perception/energy combination will enable all sounds to be easily discerned, and seem more clear and a bit sharper than on the normal plane, though the User will have noticed gradual changes along the way. After that marker, sound continues to become clearer, harmonic, and pure at the highest levels. This quality of the Shadow Realm will also imbue certain items with distinct properties (as well as turning them to a shade of shadow with little to no visible colour), like the Umbral Safe-Guard: Distorter.

Gamble Fruit Effects

Through use of one "Gamble Fruit", Kyrie is able to create shadow even in a bright room, as well as generate "weapons", "materials", or "objects" from her qi. The things she creates are black in colour, though shades of charcoal and grey are present in much larger items.

The Gamble Fruit also gifts her with a 50% immunity to fire.

Abilities

i. The Darkness: Fighting under cover of darkness grants Kyrie a boost in the ease of shadow manipulation, essentially giving her a maximum increase of 1/2 her ENERGY when using her Shadow Qi, while fighting at night or in heavy darkness. Softer shadows don't grant this bonus, though it is marginally easier for her to create objects like weapons.

ii. Dark-Touch (passive): Kyrie's sensitive to fighting in the darkness after all these years and has learned to trust what can be termed as a "spidey sense" while in darker areas. Similar to how David can feel air currents, Kyrie is able to sense movements and positions of people within the darkness.

iii. Darksight: Kyrie's able to see better than your average person in complete darkness, while also having enhanced vision in dim lighting. However, in complete or nearly complete darkness this enhanced vision is more like she can make out the outlines of people or objects, for they seem to be a more complete darkness than the lack of surrounding light, rather than being able to make out details. She has to concentrate as this is not a passive ability, and is not the same as entering into the Shadow Realm.

iv. Shadowwalking: Kyrie has the ability to pass into the shadows, disappearing from the normal plane of existence to walk along in the shadows. As long as she does this in complete darkness or there are shadows connecting that are physically the same width needed to squeeze through she can travel utilizing shadows.

v. Weapon to Hand: Kyrie can create and manipulate shadow into objects or weapons. It remains manifested as long as she wills it to, but any break in contact will have the object/weapon dissipate. Naturally this is much more difficult in bright sunlight and any weapon or object manifested in bright sunlight receives a -1/4 of her ENERGY in strength and effectiveness. The weapon adds 1/2 her ENERGY to her ATTACK.

vi. Shadow Manipulation: Kyrie is able to actively manipulate shadows currently present, including things such like causing shadows to extend from her position to connect with someone else's and thus "snap" to their position upon entering the shadow realm, or extend the shadows from her current position within the Shadow Realm to connect with another in order to pull someone else in.

vii. Take Wing: In line with being able to create materials/weapons/objects from her qi, Kyrie has been known to - on occasion - fashion herself a pair of large dragon wings that she uses for a gliding-sort of flight, as it's more akin to a wing suit than anything. Typically she jumps from on top buildings and glides around, as to start to fly from the ground takes immense lift and strength, given the fact human bodies aren't really meant for flight. Perhaps in combination with her bloodline qi this would be possible...

The Valkyrie's Mask

When using this ability, black wings extend, seemingly from her temples and a mask forms across her forehead as seen in the picture. When released the feathers separate and the entire thing breaks apart to dissipate into wisps.

viii. I See You: Kyrie's mask gives her the ability to see a person's qi: what it does, its weaknesses, and can literally read a person's stats.

Bloodline Qi: Bladed Chains

From Kyrie's back, six bladed chains can manifest. Each chain has the equivalent stats of her ENERGY can move independently of one another, each can be manipulated and extended to unknown lengths. The longer the chains remain present, Kyrie gains extra ENERGY up to a maximum of double her current energy.

ix. Whiplash: Six chains plunge outward into existence from along Kyrie's spine, each ending with a sharp blade that she can use for combat or mobility. Wouldn't that be a freaky image, seeing the tiny blonde propelled forward as if on spider legs? Watch out, the blades are deadly sharp.

A Strong Foundation

Mathew Amtrum
Level: Mentor. Guardian. Trusted. Family. Father-Figure.
Mathew is one of the people that has quickly come to be the first building blocks of the people that Kiyr feels closest to, regardless of whether it's returned or not. He's stubborn, honest, rather violent and harsh, but he has her respect, and trust. Yes, though the trust is part of her vow to him, she still gives it freely, regardless. She looks up to him for Guidance, more than anything, as he teaches her to become stronger, in order to reach for an Elder Title within the Dragon Core. Unlike her fellow apprentice, Raikotsu Sudeki, she does not address Mathew with the term "Master", preferring either "Sir" - to him - or "The Earth Dragon", otherwise.

Though she has made a poor decision, recently, she continues to look up to him, and still dwells within his Shadow, ready and waiting to strike.

Mathew represents the stable ground Kiyr treads upon.


David Blaze
Level: Mentor. Trusted. Family. Love Interest.
Coming from way out in left field is David, The Storm Dragon. Entirely unexpected to claim the third place as the people that Kyrie gravitates the most to, David has nevertheless cut and carved and breezed his way into a place in the blonde's life. He unnerves her just as much as Levi does, but provides his own type of security, as well.

He's earned her respect, trust, and admiration. Though, for a time, it receded to a much smaller span as Kyrie's choice to join the Sky Force under damningly shady conditions earned her a brand from Mathew and her forced withdrawal. Trust is balanced between her and David. Currently she freely admits her feelings for him. Recent events have enabled the start of a relationship to begin developing between them, though the blonde remains careful not to let it show in the public eye just yet.

David symbolizes a gentle breeze that can lift her, or a protective, lethal gale under different circumstances.


Conor Blaze
Level: Most Beloved. Son. DECEASED.
Conor was one of the brightest lights in Kyrie's world, when she had him. It seemed that the emergence of a family started to make her life burst at the seams in its fullness. Near to the end of the War, Conor was killed, driving David into a murderous march along the West Coast, and not only did Kyrie lose her son, but her husband as well.

He was cheerful and diligent, and too young.


Arianna Camilla Barrial
Level: Trusted. Family. Friend.
For a time when Barker dropped the world into chaos, Kyrie thought her sister lost with the rest of her family. It turned out, after three years, and amidst one of the more difficult battles...she appeared with Odin. Soon after, it was learned that she had met David's younger brother, Damien, and hit it off.

The past few years, despite running and staying off the radar, Kyrie has never not regretted being unable to reach out to let Arianna know she and Damien were actually alive. And, it seems to have backlashed on them in the worst ways... But hope still remains, as she's well aware her sister's temper doesn't stay for a lengthy period of time.


Delilah Adele Black
Level: Mentor. Trusted. Family. Friend. DECEASED?
In getting to know The Crows' "First Black", Kyrie has come to an understanding of who she is and a bit of how she thinks, and as a result, has garnered respect and even admiration in the blonde's eyes for the woman with her ebony tresses. As such, when she was the Ghost Leader of David Blaze's Sky Force, she offered her hand to Delilah in friendship, driving home the point that the Dragons would protect their own--as any harm done to their allies was, ultimately, harm done unto them.

Recent events have made Kyrie seek shelter with the only person that would exactly understand what she went through, being molested, and this solidified Delilah's place as Kyrie's fourth pillar of support. It took courage for Kyrie to go to her, to speak and let all her vulnerabilities and weaknesses show, and that took a monumental amount of trust.

Delilah symbolizes strength of heart and compassionate understanding. Always, she will be the protective Raven for the little Dove.


Evelyn and Aryanna Amtrum
Level: FAMILY DECEASED
The twins that are Mathew and Bastille's have quickly burned and seared their way into Kyrie's heart, breaking and mending it all at once. These two precious girls, Kyrie would throw herself against any challenge to keep safe and untouched. May whatever God - if He exists - see fir to show you mercy if you threaten them.

Bastille isn't the easiest woman to rope into any one category. Kyrie has seen different sides of the curt woman, and other things besides that Bastille has not shown her.

On the Light Side

Raikotsu Sudeki
Level: Rival. Ally. Still Stupid. Younger Brother.
Raikotsu still has quite a ways to go in order to gain Kyrie's trust outside the battlefield, as well as her respect. From being able to dupe him until the Earth Dragon showed up, to nearly killing her with a misuse of his Blood Qi, he's shown he is reckless and does not think things through, though she cuts him some slack, as he's only human, after all. He reminds her far too much of her younger brother, Bennett, in some respects...and thus she fears his rash actions will get him killed.


Marcus Prasad
Level: Friend. "Big Brother" figure. DECEASED?
The Wolf of the Crows is an intimidating figure. Yet, the first time she ever laid eyes on him, Kyrie found herself staring the alpha male down as he seemed to threaten the Storm Dragon's well-being. And she was fearless in doing so, even when he advanced on her.

Something about the Big Bad Wolf and the Tricksy Hobbits has clicked, for their interactions have been rather good since that first, slightly rough, beginning, Marcus even going so far as to ruffle her hair, which more or less endeared her to him. She looks at him like he's a surrogate elder brother. And if any should threaten him, she would not hesitate to offer the same protection she offered David at the perceived threat that Marcus had been.


Leon Sudeki
Level: Acquaintance. Ally. Mentor, "That Crazy Uncle"
Leon is definitely an oddball, and every bit as tricksy as Kyrie, herself. Perhaps she feels to be a bit of a kindred spirit to Leon, and as such, has asked for his aid on several pranks, both on his Apprentice, Levi, and upon David, his fellow Dragon Elder. She finds, so far, that he is dependable in that area, at the very least.


Levi Kayamei
Level: Family. Unknown. Wary. DECEASED?
He is a Warrior within the Dragon Core, as well, but ranks just below the Elders as the Force Commander due to his unique talents gained from the Gamble Fruit.

Semi-recent events have considerably lowered Kyrie's ability to trust Levi. She may have forgiven him for being afraid - as it's a very human thing - but thus far she has not forgiven him for not doing more to help her as she was completely immobilized by Mason as he molested her. Trust may develop once more, with time, but only time itself will tell.

Olesya and Kyrie have found themselves at odds, ironically, in regards for their feelings for David, who in turn cares for both women very deeply. Kyrie gave Olesya a second chance in regards to David after she blew up when David admitted that while he loves her and is with her, that he did gain feelings for Kyrie.

Their relationship is somewhat tense at best, though both women agreed to put personal matters aside in regards to business with the Dragons, as everyone's survival is dependent on all gears turning in tandem.

Description: This glowing gauntlet was passed in secret to Kyrie during Mathew Amtrum's funeral. Since then it has spent some time within the shadows, and seems to have grown in strength. Its unique ability is - after her mishap with the Doomed World Dragon while fighting David Blaze - that it strictly contains the Dragon's wrath to her arm instead of the backlash coming to be too out of control and ravaging her own body, and so the damage is contained within its confines. It reduces the backlash to 1/4 of Kyrie's energy, instead of 1/2.
