After the battle triage would take effect. The most seriously wounded were stabilized and taken care off before the others. Eric had been wounded in the battle, more seriously than he had been in a long time. But his wounds were far from critical. He knew what that meant, and he despised it. Waiting. However, his wounds were serious enough to get looked at and treated rather than just taking care of them himself. Considering he had a facility here to do so.
Though the wait was making him tempted to forgo that and simply grab some liquor and a sewing kit. The deep stab wound in his shoulder wouldn't heal pretty if he did it himself, but he had no one to impress. The same went with the gashes and burns over his torso. But those would blend in with his many old wounds. Scars and gouges littered his body from wounds received over the years, each one a memento from an enemy. He carried that part of them wherever he went. His body was a temple to the God of War.

It was, unfortunately, a long wait.
And a long day and night for those that ran the infirmary. But Arianna did appear through the door with a clipboard, though it was almost immediately discarded to the side. Triage was coming to a close, and it was almost like they could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Her pale gold-hued irises were tired and even perhaps strained. Despite that she looked at Eric instead of the clipboard, and pulled on another pair of gloves.
Perhaps it may have been surprising, considering one of the last times they actually saw each other he’d entombed and crushed her in stone. Perhaps not if he was aware of the qi of those enrolled.
Her head tilted a moment in survey, though in all honesty she was more focused on his wounds than looking him over curiously.
“Thanks for being so patient, I apologise for the wait. Let’s get those gashes and burns treated, shall we?” Already she was peering at the one on his shoulder, knowing that she’d be stitching it. “I don’t suppose you’ve been given anything for the pain as of yet?”

"It is to be expected, most people were overwhelmed by the attackers."
The implication was that he himself had not been overwhelmed.
"No, and I would rather avoid it."
He didn't care for it. Bad memories and all.

"Oi, ya made it!" he'd see Avice clutching her. Ribs being supported by her strapped crutch. She'd be a bit worse for were but standing at least. "I heard ya bein' quite the spectacle out there. Shame that I missed it."

Arianna considered things a moment and then moved her shoulders slightly, instead turning to gather a suture kit, cleansing supplies, and a topical numbing agent. Avice's entrance had her glancing over with a softly amused expression. But she slid everything into position on a rolling tray and slid that and rolled her stool over. With everything happening on the field, she couldn't really justify using her qi to stitch people up unless it meant saving their lives. That clearly wasn't the case here.
Manual labour it was.
She let the two talk and went about her merry if tired way, first cleaning out the wound and making sure the surrounding skin was the same.

"I simply did what was expected of me for being here."
Nothing more, and nothing less.

She nodded agreeing that he seemed to know just where to go and where to be. Sometimes he feels like the killer just walking while the victim is running form their lives and not seemingly gaining any distance. And other times he felt like confidence striding thorough the chaos unfettered. Leaps and bounds ahead of where she stood.
"Aye, and when we both get out of 'ere there will be some work to do." she'd been eager to see what all was in store for them as a team.

Their conversation gave Arianna plenty of time to look over her newest patient. Naturally her eyes were drawn towards his current injuries but she couldn’t help but take note of the copious amount of scars. Some looked familiar, and the dragon tattoo was especially common for soldiers she treated in the war. It was a mark of those in Amtrum’s Dragon core, though this particular man wasn’t someone she was familiar with. Not a surprise, overall, considering the Dragons were a large gang and she was only one person.
“So long as the stitches aren’t ripped out, right?”
She had smoothed on the topical numbing agent, careful to avoid the broken skin. Before she started to stitch him up she would need to wipe away the ointment, but for now she let it have some time to work.

"I trust you Doctor. But if your work isn't able to hold up, I am capable of stitching myself back up, should the need arise."
It wouldn't be pretty, and he wouldn't have anything to numb the pain, but he'd done it plenty during the war.
"Did you have something specific in mind?"
He'd ask, turning to face Avice.

She shook her head matted curls shifting with the movement. "Just thought we'd continue where we left off. You'll find I've 'ad an developmen' development since we last spoke. Did what ye said while I laid 'ere with not much to do an came through."
She'd kept her promise and even worked a bit of over time. Though she'd tell him more about it later she knew she made a hasty choice who knew what really could have become of it. But she had rather not wasted time. She refused to be carried if she had a means to carry herself.

"I'm certain my stitches will hold, it's your body I'm concerned about, and if you do something that's going to increase the time it takes for you to actually heal."
There was no reprimand in her voice, nor agitation that would suggest he offended her...as, well, he didn't. Now it was just a waiting game before she actually did the stitching. A few more minutes, maybe, and she could wipe it away and begin. For now, she busied herself with prepping the curved and rather wicked looking needle.

"Likely."
He doubted this would be the end of it. Such was the world they lived in. A world fueled by pain and misery. His eyes flickered back to Avice as his lips pressed together ever so slightly.
"I saw."

She almost ignored Arianna all together while seeing the expression on Eric's face. It... Confused her.
She shifted on her crutch. "Aye that right?" she kind of took a little offence to the short tone he was giving her. She didn't know if he had a reason to be ticked off in any way.

Arianna was fine with being ignored, anyway!
Everything was suitably arranged, more or less, and she prepped the gauze to wipe away the cream. She'd let them continue to speak, at least, without interruption for now...but soon enough she'd be wiping away the ointment and then retrieved her needle and thread and began stitching Eric's wound.

His jaw tightened when the stitching started, but that was about it.
"It is."
He could stay short, glancing back at the Doctor.
"You are one of the Gods if I recall. Correct? Or, more accurately. You live with the Gods."
