"Very well."
He would stand up. Whatever the doctor had managed to do to patch him up would have to be enough.
"Thank you for your time Doctor. But it seems I have more things I must attend to."
He'd make his way to the door, offering Avice an arm if she needed it. He'd hate to see her use all of her energy on her dramatic storm out. He suspected she would not take his arm, but that was her choice. Either way, he'd start down the hallway toward the main courtyard.
"The first thing we should cover is that it is impossible for you to hold me back. You should banish those thoughts from your mind once and for all. If I was worried about anyone holding me back at all I would not have agreed to be a partner to anyone. The issue isn't with my fear of my own performance, nor is the issue your physical condition. If it had been, I would have left you the day the Scorpions attacked as you would have been of no use to me."
He'd not have bothered trying to help her.

She didn't take his hand as he expected but he left the room and she was even close to thinking not following him but he spoke to her and those words were far too calm for her to remain comfortable. More on topic she might have realized he didn't understand her sarcasm.
"I dont need these explanations... If ya goin' say this shitte I want to know out the gate if it not be me then what is the full truth? I am sick of getting yar long round about and incomplete answers. Otherwise I cant take anythin' yar say seriously."
He tried to help her before and it seemed to be ending just like that? Before it got started? She might have taken a faster route but she almost lost herself in the process. She knew that. Surely that proved some dedication? But if that was not his reason then some thing else was going on so she needed to know as this was involving her.

"The short of it is you are weak."
And it wasn't because of her limbs or lack thereof.
"You were given a choice and you chose to take a shortcut with Mr. Sudeki. And more than that, you let him into your mindscape. Into your head. And now I've seen it as well. I can't trust you when I ask you to keep a secret and you agree to let people ruffle around into your head. I can't trust your dedication when your impatience is so powerful that you take the first shortcut you are offered, no matter the risks."
He'd keep going at his even pace, his tone staying the same calm neutral as he had been speaking in before. He was mad at her, beyond mad. But yelling would not solve his issues. Beating her would not solve his issues, and any damage she could do was already done, so killing her would do little else but make him feel better.
"I have my reasons for not telling you everything, for my benefit and yours. But I've been upfront with you, believe it or not. And so I'll be upfront when I say that you have demonstrated traits that I find detestable. And because of the route you chose to take with Mr. Sudeki's shortcut, any strength and ability you find is tainted fruit. It is not strength gained on your own, but power bestowed upon you. And I can't respect that."

"You are... Wrong." her lips peeled in a snarl as she stepped in front of his path. "This is my power! I was impatient and yes I let him in my mind but I was confident ya told me nothing that would be useful to him. Because no ya dont tell me shitte." she inhaled being forward is hardly what she'd say. "I did all the work except going inside that mindscape. It is me and I have become so aware of my qi that it tells me what I am capable of. Let me tell you that it is more than you have seen."
Her interaction with the Dragon was a chance she took and she doesn't regret it. Keeping her future and not being a hindrance in mind she thought it would have been for the best. "What that bloke saw has done nothing except save us time. Time we are running short on if these walls continue to crumble." she hoped she made a good as point on that matter at least.

"That is where we disagree. Him becoming involved as he has will shape what you will become. You will no longer be the woman who was shown a door and walked through on her own power. But the woman who was escorted and guided along the path. I believe that you believe you did all of the work there, but if that was true then it would not have been a shortcut. And he would not have warned you as he had."
He'd motion toward the walls after her closing argument. His lips pressing together, the appeal to emotion finding no ground with him as this place meant little to him. Cabal was a means to an end, nothing more and nothing less. Even his actions of defending the gates against the attacks were transactional. Him paying rent, in a manner of speaking, since Leon and David were not around to watch after their own house.
"These walls can crumble to dust and I'd not lose a wink of sleep over it."
He'd take another step forward, away from her and around her.
"How you achieve your potential matters just as much as what your potential is. And for me, yours is tainted now and I do not believe you have the dedication and fortitude to burn away the taint."

The anger that fumed in her with his words. But they did think differently about the matter and she could not say anything more to him. She just let him keep walking. He now thought of her in such a way that she hated but more so was just is attitude to her.
She turned to him as he left once more. "Hope you finally fall off your high horse one day you bastard!"
She felt wasted... She began crunching herself back to her own room be damned anyone else. Be damned everyone else for that matter. Screw taking up a new partner for that matter. It was done and so was she. Once again a filthy and "tainted", looked down upon, and underestimated. Why did she expected anything else?

If this was a test it would have been another failure in his book. If she was truly determined to learn from him and to work with him she did a poor job of showing it. All bark and no bite, that is what he'd come to expect from her. He'd seen some glimpses of potential in the past, like when she tried to stand after losing her limbs. But generally, when challenged or blocked she seemed to fold like a deck chair. She could think what she wanted, but she lacked the commitment to learn from him, those who had managed in the past had the scars to show their dedication, and the marks to show how far they were willing to go for what he held within. But, he understood what he had was not for most people, and if it was easy it would hardly be worth much. He'd continue to search for someone worthy of the knowledge he had, and for the killer.
His response to her taunt was a simple shrug. He was used to people not liking him, and that was fine. He wasn't here to make friends and be loved. However since she had brought it up, he'd give her one final piece of advice. After that, she could wallow in self-pity or do whatever she wanted. He didn't have time for quitters.
"If you truly care about these walls crumbling then I would suggest getting stronger fast. Much stronger. You have a month at best before things turn dire."
And with that, he would be gone.
/exit.

And the doc was left in the dust.
Awkward, but not the most awkward situation she'd ever been part of, certainly. Arianna sighed over the treatment left undone but switches gears to start cleaning.
