What was there to say to that, that she wouldn't be cheating on Abel, either..? There was this emotional component to everything, though, that made it impossible. Her jaw worked a little more as she stared, sensing and seeing the wavering in her gaze along with the saline sting of tears. She blinked furiously a few times, valiantly keeping them at bay.

"...I'd intended to live out my life with Abel and pass into obscurity with a final death at the end of it all. No more revivals, no more dying in flames to be reborn again, but, apparently that's been thrown to the wind and I've got to start from twenty again. I don't know where that'll lead me or what I'm going to do with any of this." Perhaps she should have been angry over the aftermath of Eric's training...but it wouldn't have changed the fact that the invasion had brought a fiery death for her any way, so any anger there might have been was moot. Her hand was still idly rubbing over her heart. "...and even though I'm not in any way okay with this...I am happy you're alive, even if I'm also angry and a plethora of other things over it."

He gave, for once, a purely genuine smile.

"I'm glad I'm alive too, Arianna. And just know...I'll support whatever it is you want for yourself. Being in a relationship as you are, I'm going to keep moving forward as though you and I...won't be together. But if that changes, you'll let me know?"

She could give him no indication of how things would turn out...as she didn't know. So she did the best she could, which was simply responding.

"I'll let you know."

Either way...she had a lot of stuff to work through. One conversation wouldn't be enough...it would take time on her own.

He nodded, and leaned back closing his eyes to drift off to sleep.

With Damien closing his eyes she figured that was about the extent of what he could safely tell her. With a quick swallow she turned and moved out of the room, continuing to rub over her heart.

When Arianna left she stood from where she was hiding. Which was under the bed. Meaning she hid there and phased through his matress and sheets right about where his ankles laid. She had gotten answers and learned somethings and she let out a relieving sigh and a whisper of "thank goodness" to both the fact her tension was relieved and that it didnt get too personal she would have lwft if they got anymore personal. She turned and stepped out of the bed and became solid again looking at him not really sure where to go from her surprise entrance.

Damien's eyes opened, spotting Oni. So she was the one.

"You here to kill me, Oni?"

Perhaps Territory 2 had decided he was more of a liability than he'd thought. He'd gained many brothers there but...he never trusted anyone for too long. The only person who's presence he trusted implicitly just left.

"And here I thought we had a little connection."

Her arms were thrown at her sides and her tail stiffened with her shoulders. "What?! No!" her voice in a forceful whisper. "I've never killed anything except my mothers approval of me." she crossed her arms over each other and shook her head.

He relaxed slightly.

"I see. Well, first off, your momma can go jump off a cliff if she doesn't approve of you. Second of all, nobody knows about you and me."

He cocked a brow.

"I assume that's why you came, if not to kill me?"

She nodded sticking her hands in her back pockets. "But I heard all I needed from your conversation just now." she relaxed her stance a bit more. "And Mom just has a superior view of being the perfect hero to the people. Looking like I do doesnt fit that... Also incase you didnt notice... I'm a wuse by choice some what. I don't really like fighting." she shrugged.

He sighed.

"She has a view. But it's definitely not superior."

He looked out the window.

"Where I come from, there are hundreds and thousands of people just like you. Beautiful. Scaled skin and Horns. Wings. They breathe fire and soar through the sky or rampage through the forest of Cedar Hills." He smiled at the memory.

"Guess it's just pure damn luck that you were the one I ran into first. Sorta gave me that touch of home I've been missing the last few months."

She'd guess what he meant and honestly it didnt help his case much on proving his loyalty. Would it be to his brother or to his home territory at this point. Honestly it seemed strange that be what he likes but she only thought people who liked tails had strange tastes. Not really crossing her mind that he'd be indirectly complimenting her while other matters made up her mind. "Home... You mean territory two?"

He nodded.

"Territory Two worked with some of the other territories to try and fashion a way to sneak in here, to break the chains on the Dragons and get out the items that are so frivolously given to you Cabalans. I was supposed to be the one to do that. It's why I attacked Leon that day. I intended to take him back to Territory two with me, and force David to come after him."

He shrugged.

"I failed. That was supposed to be the end of it. Apparently, they had a back up plan, and it surely wasn't with my say so."

Some might wonder why he was telling Oni all this. But truth be told, he liked her. He trusted her. And without Arianna here, David was incredibly unlikely to be listening.

Oni kind of felt herself grow cold with his response she hardly knew what to think about it. She grew up in 259 and Cabal has always been here to protected its people. But she quickly realize her comfortable way of life has left her naive of what actually goes on beyond appearances. She hated phony appearances but she understood some of them made sure some peace was maintained.

She could hardly comprehend how he thought that was going to work in his favor. Not to mention it be a huge step to leaving 259 defenseless to attack endangering her home. "Why would you all want them captured?"

He turned his gaze back on her.

"Because. This new world isn't what it seems, and neither are they. There are forces outside the confines of this tiny speck that push and pull on it.
