Spit In Your Eye

[Sean Barker]

"Huh. Interesting mystery. However I've been here too long. So I must go."

He would turn to leave.

[Onides Une]

She instinctually grabbed for his sleeve.


"It is not a mystery then..." she grinned. "You know who did it?"

[Sean Barker]

"If you want to know maybe you should follow me."

Barker was leaving.

[Onides Une]

That was all she needed to hear. Her heart pounded in her chest and her good hand cupped her mouth as logic crept into her mind. It would be smart to turn back now... It would be safe to decline... Oh she knew. It and that was enough to nearly glue her feet where they were. But not his felt bigger than her. Far bigger.

Before she could talk herself out of it she would take not just one step forward but many more following behind maybe the one person who has seen hell and lived.

Oni would follow Barker out of town and to a building. Looked rather small and Barker would chuckle as he left the door open and entered.

Should she enter she would find a gaping maw of Earth with stone steps leading into the earth. She would hear Barker's voice.

"During the war I built many of these pathways to get around easier."

Eventually they would reach part of the cave, well lit mind you that appeared to be a living area. Like a mansion living room.

"Come in, take a seat. Hungry?"

[Onides Une]

She wondered with awe about the place. "Suppose if the world comes to another war... You are pretty safe." though ominous as he was as they left town she noted he was rather excited now. It put her at some ease. Still she wondered just how often he had guests.

"Actually knowing I was going on patrol I had a big lunch... Not to mention the last our of excitement I've had... Not so sure I would be able to really eat." she'd politely decline the offer of food.

"You would be surprised how not safe this is."

He'd sigh and sit down she obviously didn't want to play the game so he would get to the point.

"The Earth Dragons family was slaughtered. A veritable impossibility, yet it happened. Not long after that the Earth Dragon dies. Someone capable of sinking or raising entire countries suddenly becomes complacent AFTER his family is obviously assassinated."

Barker would shrug.

Let alone the fact Mathews best friend can see almost anything he wants at any given time as well as make entire fields of people see whatever he wants."

Barker would lean back in his chair.

"Off that information and the official statements, what do you believe?"

[Onides Une]

She did take a seat across fron him after unloading the bombs of things he concluded.

"The whole family was strong from what I could gather. While not Earth dragon still it would have been a hard fight." her next words halted in her throat for a moment. "Unless the threat went undetected?"

She leaned forward elbows to her knees. "If dragons are such a force to be reckoned with that likely their only equal is each other... Mr.Blaze hears all that happens and Mr.Leon has illusions that one I have personally witnessed is nearly perfect... But you cant actually be suggesting one or... Both at least knew what was happening if not being apart of it?"

"While I no doubt suspect one if not both are involved in some way, I don't think they did it."

He'd shake his head.

"And I mean literally impossible. The children had pendants on all the time which prevented them from dieing by violent means. They can only be removed by either Mathew or Bastille. Neither of which would of done."

"Here let's run an experiment."

Barker would pull out a file that stated the general idea of things that happened which would seem familiar to Oni.

"Look at this."

He would then put it away.

"Now tell me a bit about yourself."

[Onides Une]

She was deep in thought and absorbing all the information he was giving her. He handed her the file only to take it away soon after. It was a demonstration. And he had a file that was not apart of the case it was her own information which made her stand from her seat.

"Why do you have that?" she would answer his request on telling him about herself. Seems he might know plenty about her more than she was unsure to be safe.

Barker would shake his head.

"Follow the experiment and ignore that for now, it will become relevant again shortly."

He would wave for her to sit back down.

"Now, tell me about yourself."

[Onides Une]

She sat as he suggested eyeing their folder. But would proceed with the "experiment."

"I was born and raised here, mom has a Qi and my dad does not. I got my Qi a bit later than most my age do and the changes it did to me were not only quite extreme but a bit painful as well. I was bed ridden for over a year, after that my parents had divorced and I lived with my father until we decided me going to Cabal and taking advantage of what it could teach me. I have little desire to be a hero at least not one who shines in thw glory of it all. More like someone who can plot tactics and stratagems. I play games that simulate this... Anything else?" she was not sure if she covered it all or if he wanted something specific.

[Sean Barker]

"That should do."

Barker would pull the report back out and Oni would notice not only discrepancy after discrepancy, but the entire layout of the paper was different.

[Onides Une]

She could have been more confused. Did he trick her with some illusion a like Mr. Leon?

Illusions however...

She scanned the folder once more she was beginning to get a head ache wondering what she was really looking at. Her hand went to her eyes and rubbed them. "Ugh..." she groaned. So did she just see what she wanted or what was familiar..?

"You have some kind of illusion Qi as well?" she looked back at him. "At that point if you hadn't told me you were looking to solve it I'd say you would have a hand in it as well couldn't I?"

Barker would tap his foot on the ground and a table would rise made of rock. He'd put the paper down face up for her to look at.

"The paper is there, but that isn't what it is."

His right face tattoo would glow as his eyes looked exactly like Sage's and Leon's had. He would hold out his hand for her to touch.

"A fair assessment though that depends on how far down the rabbit hole you want to go. With this ability I can help you see what a Sudeki sees. Sudeki can see through illusions."

Barker would wait. She would have to trust him enough to believe what she could see through this ability. He revealed he did have the power of illusion, so she would have to trust he wasn't just filling the room with illusions.
