His head rose, pupils dilating in fear.

Yeah, let's not terrify her new friend right off the back and let him think she'll betray him.
'I won't do it if it kills you then.' She promised with a nod. And apparently, not the other guy either. She could appreciate that. It would be more satisfactory to do it themselves than through an binding object.

He visibly relaxed, trusting her entirely.
'Mmkay, thanks bestie!'
He continued eating, and Tina would note that her light was beginning to fade...as in, it was getting dark.
