Check Up [David]

She paled slightly, and nodded.

"Yes. By him." She spat.

"He can rot in the pit of hell he was sent to."

Arianna's lips swept down into a deeper frown but she nodded. Whether it was an agreement to everything or just an acknowledgement of what she'd said...was left to the imagination for now.

"Any other injuries I need to be aware of right now..?"

Unfortunately a first aid kit was only going to get her so far.

"I'll be grabbing some supplies from Cabal, unless the Pier has more than first aid kits."

[David B.]

She gestured.

"We have a fully stocked medical facility. Sometimes the prisoners get out of hand, and they end up there."

She'd glance at Arianna.

"We can head there, if you'd prefer?"

"That's preferable." She paused...and felt stupid, but. Well. "I'm assuming you heard that, David? They've a medical facility and Abigail and I are going to head over there."

She made quick work of repacking the kit and then stood.

"The lab coat will be okay for the walk over?"

Obviously putting her arms through the sleeves and holding it shut would be the best way.

"The coat is fine. They raped me in the courtyard, so it's nothing these brutes haven't seen before."

She'd stand and walk out, the place entirely....silent.

”Whatever you’re most comfortable with at this point.”

She was just here to care for her and give whatever sense of Donita she could. So her eyes cautiously swept over the gawkers as they moved, more out of self-preservation than anything else.

[David B.]

One of the jailbirds would reach out and snatch Ariannas arm.

"Is it true? Is the Storm Dragon back?"

He seemed afraid, but also....pleased.

Arm snatched! Arianna tensed for a moment and glanced to the inmate, wary but not jumping the gun.

"If you'd let me go I'd appreciate it." She leveled her gaze at him, serious but...altogether non-threatening. As long as he did, she would answer: "He is."

He released her arm like was on fire and slunk back into his cell.

"It's war, then....may the gods watch over us all."

Arianna fell silent at the plea to the Gods for a few moments as she quietly watched, almost eerily reminiscent of her sister.

"...well, they'll try..."

As for God Himself? Arianna didn't know and wasn't sure...perhaps they'd been forsaken in times like these, but she still counted her blessings.

There was nothing returned but mumbles from the cell, and the new warden turned back.

"You still coming...?"

Behind Arianna, David was approaching, still using paper towels to try and get the blood out of his shirt.

"Yes, sorry."

David's movement caught her eye and she blinked. "You're going to need cold water, at least. Or vinegar."

Or ammonia.

But, she turned and double-timed it at a brisk walk to catch up with the woman she was supposed to be treating!

David grunted. He knew that. Didn't stop him from trying though.

They'd be led down to the medical bay, where the doctor and the warden would find clean clothes ready for her as well as plenty of options for her medical needs.

She took a table, waiting for permission to dress. David stayed out in the waiting room, still trying to clean his shirt.

Well, the curtain she drew over the area to give them a small bit of visual privacy...and then she clicked her tongue as she inspected what was at hand.

"David, would you mind giving us a bubble of privacy?"

Worth a shot. He'd been able to use his qi before, after all, when hers had been suppressed the other day. Perhaps it merely had a threshold.

[David B.]

"Not a problem."

Their bodies would fee a sudden shift as air was pushed out around them, clearing the exam room of everything. They'd suddenly hear nothing outside the room, and nobody could hear anything from inside.

The Warden sniffed, then blinked.

"Interesting....and what about him?"
