[Bailey Oleander]

Bailey freezes the moment the enthusiastic greeting gushes out, staring at the Professor who, honestly, she's forgotten the name of. There's no mistaking that presence, however. Blinking, she cleared her throat.

"Hello again, Professor." Turning her attention to Eric, she continued. Staying right where she was. "Commander Sudeki had him come in when we discovered one of the energy crystals at the power plant." She turned to the professor again.

"Have you been able to find anything else out?" Because it would be good to know now if that thing started sparking again.

[Leon]

"Yes yes! Leading expert in crystals and energy. Qi engines specific~!"

But when she asked if he had learned anything new, his right hand would go to his forehead, the back of his wrist pressed gently as he leaned back, hugging himself with the other arm and falling back against another vehicle as if physically wounded, giving a noise of pain and anguish.

"Darling Bailey~ You wound me so~."

He'd push off the ground with his feet, and do a back handspring on the car hood he was leaning on, hands on his hips and a foot on the cab, pointing into the distance at nothing.

"I have discovered a great deal, more than anyone before! The crystal you found was a prototype, not meant to be used, a simple diagram of synthetic crystalline nervous systems. No, there is a greater masterpiece out there, one yet undiscovered~. It's purpose was not to hold or store, but to Generate Qi, send it, focus it into a single point. This has the markings of one of the greatest minds to ever walk this earth~! Oh."

He would fall to his knees and weep into his hands.

"If only I could meet him."

[Mathew Amtrum]

Eric pressed his lips together at the display of the man.

"He stays behind."

He'd say, getting out of the jeep.

[Bailey Oleander]

Bailey does not move a muscle during the entire dramatic song and dance about his discoveries. The truth was, he had her attention, even as he bounced on the car and she sat up a little straighter in response, like a cat startled at its own reflection.

"Understood," she said quietly. "I will make this quick." Stepping out of the car, she would continue.

"I would love to hear more, Professor, but I believe that may be needed for another time. I'm sorry. Did you find it matched with the other maps and diagrams we had?" If there was a place of strong energy, it would be good to know.

As she gets out of the car, she directs her thoughts to Loki.

'Do you remember anything else about the place? Any sounds, or energy sources that were extremely high?' Otherwise, it was going to be eenie-meenie on what door to try and open.

[Leon]

The professor was lost in his own misery to hear Bailey. Loki would respond.

"Sorry I'm not a sensory type. I didn't used to do the sensing thing. Now though all I really see is energy."

[Mathew Amtrum]

"If you want to help us like Sudeki said, then make sure we are not disturbed."

He'd motion for Bailey to follow him into the ruins.

[Bailey Oleander]

That was super helpful, but probably for the best. Bailey left the professor to his despair. She would, however, take a look at any maps or diagrams he had of the area that were in sight.

'I think we might be able to work with that.'

Following Eric into the remains of the city, Bailey would keep an eye out for any energy readings she could pick up above ground, expecting it to start getting buzzy as they went further in. She would try to find something that resembled the energy from the tree she had touched, as a specific point of interest, since she couldn't pick up Loki's own energy reading.

[Leon]

Bailey would find no energy signatures besides what she had found the first time, the pulsing energy line under the ground.

"Actually I'm fairly certain removing me from that tree killed the tree."

[Mathew Amtrum]

He would keep walking since Loki and Bailey were not giving him direction. He'd reach into his pocket and pull out his soul gem channeling his energy into it.

I am seeking a strong energy source and one who may be kin to me. Will you lend me your aid?

[Bailey Oleander]

'Well shoot.'

"Neither of us can locate the energy source from before. I can open any of these doors, believe it would be best to start at the same door I took last time before we go any further."

[Leon]

There would be silence from the Scorpion King for a few moments.

"Let me out."

As for Loki

"Yeah, sorry. My senses don't even reach inside the facility now. I can see everything around dit, it's just a giant black hole."

[Mathew Amtrum]

How? And what will it do?

He didn't have the desire to have to kill him again.

"I might have something. Maybe."

[Bailey Oleander]

'It's alright. We'll figure it out.' She shook her head with a small frown at Loki's explanation, finding it odd to say the least. But if the tree was dead, it was possible that his connection to what was there was, too. Or it could be something else entirely.

"Oh?" She turned her attention to Eric, willing to hear his explanation.

[Leon]

Scorpion King wasn't sure either.

"Project your energy through the crystal from one end to the other. Maybe that will create a gateway."

[Mathew Amtrum]

Trust is a two-way street. I'll trust you.

"Stand back, I'm unsure what this will do."

He'd channel his energy as directed into the crystal. It was time to see what Strike's stupid shit could do.
