Someone finally clued John in on where his partner was and why. He was heading for pier 14 because fighting battles and being in a war without his partner was annoying as shit. He had his gear on, hammer and all approaching the main entrance to pier 14. Completely intent on ignoring whoever tried to get in his way, pushing past if he had to, then addressing the issue as it unfolded.

As he approached the gate to Pier 14 a single guard would be in front of the Gate blocking his way!

This was an odd enough statement to stop John in his tracks in confusion. Looking around he would drop the hammer on the ground and cackle.
"You guys be careful now, you could lose an eye!"
Cause he only saw one guy. If that was all he would continue his trek into the pier looking for Rhona.

As of right now, John was complying so the soldier would take the hammer away for lockup! John would make it to the main building before he'd find two more guards. One of it would hold up a hand for him to stop.
"Name and who you are here to visit?"
The guard was armed with a baton at his hip and a clipboard in his hands.

The guard just sighed. He wished this was the first time something like this happened.
"We will have to have you fill this out for a visitor pass."
He'd say handing John a slip of paper.
"Turn it in at the gate guard up front and he will give you a pass."
Meaning the guard he'd already spoken too earlier.

John's eye would twitch at being handed a slip of paper. He'd smile as he struggled to maintain composure.
"Okaaaay."
So it was time to backtrack. John would head back to the first guard.
"How much to make this go quicker Georgy boy?"
