She nodded once, remembering how Leon had told her to pour all of the energy into the stone when he'd introduced her to her bloodline. It was basically the same as that then, without the intent to go boom or reaching for the malicious sensation in the back of her mind.
"'Kay." She wondered what Leyak would think, but the thought was set aside for the time being as she focused her energy into the stone. This guy had threatened to kill her mother and make it personal. He deserved it.

Shadowman began to scream and flail, his smoke fuming from his body as, like a vacuum, he was sucked into the stone like a liquid through a straw. The stone shone a very deep blue, then went still.
"What do you plan to do with him?"

Tina carefully picked up the necklace, brushing off imaginary dirt with a look of smug satisfaction. She shrugged at David's question.
"Dunno, depends on how this works. Aunt Freddie may want more answers from him."

"Well...I think it's a prison stone. Lets you capture souls. But there're only a couple I've ever even seen so I'm not entirely certain on what all can be done with them. Questioning, definitely...."
He sheathed his sword, starting up the stairs.
"Are you okay with things? About your heritage, I mean."

“Good.” Tina eyed the stone with David’s explanation and gave a nod of approval. It matched up and she had no intention of letting Shadow man crawl out of her corpse the way Leyak had out of the guy she’d fried. Twice.
“Dunno, depends on when that happened.”” She pocketed the necklace and brushed herself off. She’d grown up with her mom in Territoy One, thought her mom had lived there herself. Was it while she’d been able to escape, or something else? The little blonde eyed David.
You didn’t get to be royalty twice over, live as gutter trash, and live to blow dicks off without learning not to let go of suspicion, especially after someone had already tried to attack your dreams. It was a matter of principle.

"That's fair. I know almost everything- ask any questions you-"
"That won't be necessary."
The High Queen waited at the top of the stairs, two guards with them as she waited for the pair to ascend. David's brows went up as he'd give a little bow.
"Your majesty. I wasn't aware-"
"Our treaty from the great war still stands, so I used the transport station. I wasn't about to let my niece think ill of myself or our family, while I have strength in my bones. You can go, Mr. Blaze. I'd like to take it from here with her, if you don't mind."
David would look to Tina. What did she want? If she asked David to stay, he would, because her aunty ran territory four, not 259, and he didn't follow orders he disagreed with.

Ooooooh, someone was NETTLED. Tina looked up at the sound of a woman’s voice and realized that the woman got here way too fast for normal. She didn’t bow, but did nod a little, still skeptical as the tension thickened. She coked her head to the side, swaying up in her toes as she nearly laughed. The Dragon had been dismissed with the same attitude as one telling their pet dog to lay down in the corner.
“It’s coo. I know how to get around.” Not exactly the most poised remark, but she was aware of them both waiting for her to make a decision. Tina hopped up the stairs with a bounce, stopping halfway up.
“I’ve seen you before.”

Sticking his hands in his pockets, he'd look to the queen.
"Try to take her against her will, I'll come take her back."
And with that, he left, without waiting for a response. The Queen scowled but looked to Tina.
"You have. Tell me, Tina, how much your mother told you of your family."
They'd start walking down the hall.

Tina would raise a hand to wave at David as he passed by, her focus returning to the Queen as she started speaking. Her lips pursed, but she followed.
"Mom's a badlands badass and Dad rules the city." She shrugged. It was all she knew and all that had really mattered.

"Before you were born, our lands were peaceful and we welcomed outsiders with open arms. During the war our people were raped and pillage, and our queen stolen from us by raiders. They sold her, and she was taken west. At that time, I took over as Queen and turned us into a military first society. Still peaceful, but a force to be reckoned with. Your mother was our former Queen."
She lifted her chin a little.
"You are heir to our throne and have a right to claim it."
See how she handles that.

Tina would continue to follow along, nodding with a small tilt to her jaw as she contemplated her mother being kidnapped again. How did a queen manage that in so many times? Or maybe that was why she became a badass? Tina knew where not to blow stuff up sometimes because of it.
"Uh, whut?" Her voice flattened a bit in what could be surprise as she stared at the woman before her. "You know i have an older brother, right? A real one."

She shook her head.
"Our society only runs on Queens. A King is allowed but is considered below the Queen on our scale. Men are too....unpredictable. Rash. Testosterone fueled."
They'd open the doors, stepping out into the courtyard.
"I would recommend you wait, get stronger, more understanding of our politics. And It's my hope...you'll visit us. I have no other family, save for my husband. And I think we can help show you're not alone or dependent on....that man for a home."
She faced forward, cheeks a little tinted, the high queen obviously hopeful.

"Uh-huh...You did hear about the exploding bits, right?" What did she think Tina was, fluffed sugar? Her gaze roamed the hall at the explanation, recalling scaring certain students in the bathroom or, well, anywhere really. Still loafing around barefoot in her pajamas, she accepted matriarchy, though it did leave her to wonder what she would need to do about that later, whatever she decided.
The disdain in her voice was so palable at the end, however, that Tian did stop and cocked her head to the other side, like she felt crick forming that she couldn't pop just yet.
"I've already gone this long without it." She shrugged, not saying yes or no, but agreeing to wait for the time being. At the mention of no other family, however, she came back full circle.
"Yeah, about that. Apparently Mom's still alive. I think? For now anyway."

Her Aunt would grin broadly.
"I did. Seems you take after your mothers side."
The High Queen raised a hand, and some micro-explosions went off in her hand. They sounded like firecrackers, and they shimmered in the glint that was in her eye. When she said she'd gone this long without it, she lowered her hand. She tried to imagine, for a moment, the kind of havoc this must be running in the childs mind. Tina had seen and dealt with so much for a kid...
"I am very pro-lineage, and I believe you should rule. But I do believe it should be when your ready. So it's kind of a crown princess deal, yeah?" And her sister. "So you said....who was it that told you she yet lives?"

Tina's eyes went to her aunt's hand, eyes widening in delight at the firecracker-like explosion. There would probably be few times in her life where explosions didn't grab her attention at once, though after the last battle, she wasn't jumping up and down in excitement like she might have been. Sometimes, you went boom with other people's explosions, but she'd also survived. The thought was pushed aside as her captive was mentioned, focusing on what she had now as she was told she was essentially a princess if she accepted. Suddenly there were expectations of her again. Other than staying alive and not blowing up her fathers goods, she didn't have that back home. Unless you counted Joshua wanting them all to be happy, or at leas safe.
"Cool." She nodded and let her hand rest on one of her pouches wit a scowl.
"Some jerk if a qi sprite woke me up. He's a stalker. Talked about Mom being with experiments in 74 and how it's gonna go boom soon." Her eyes glittered dangerously. "Before he threatened to kill Mom sooner and I made him go boom, instead."
