[Bailey Oleander]

A lead and not a lead.  Rolling her shoulders back one at a time, Bailey looked out at the land she was leaving behind with a quiet sigh.  Places she had known all her life were going to be left behind, and some of the people with them; you couldn't bring everything with you, especially if it was already lost, but at least there was a chance to move forward. She looked over the land she knew, the camp not far behidn her as dusk gave way to darkness. It was peaceful enough that she was fine to sip away and tend to her own thoughts.

Well, hers and Loki’s, anyway. But that was only part of it. She tucked her skirt as she knelt, pulling out her personal tool to take a look at what her mother would have left for her, first. It had the most likely information that would change her mind on how to handle her powers and Loki being bound to her.

It was different when the soul bound to yours wasn’t just a spirit, but the soul of someone with friends, family, and loved ones. Those who were still alive and could welcome him back. She meant to keep the vow she made as best she could, but he deserved better than that.

She began looking through the files Mariam would hopefully have sent by now!

She had. Likely information present.

"Name: Bobby Blake. Age: 40+
All other information has been scrubbed besides medical history."

Bailey would find a huge list of mental illness running in the family on her father's side.

It was about what she expected. Bailey would begin going through the family history, noting symptoms typically started, the names of those affected, and the geenerations between them.

[Leon]

It seemed to be regular symptoms, paranoia, anxiety, chronic fear, psychosis, lack of empathy, lack of sympathy, extreme mood swings. It seemed to skip a generation and effect the following three generations.

Her hand went still as she took in teh symptoms, some of which she'd felt herself already. It was something to note.

She'd look to see if the past two generations before hers were affected, especially her father and his concern for safety.

Her father was listed as the first in the next set. Symptoms having skipped his father.

It was unfortunate, to say the least. She figured she'd have a family one day, but as her father had made it clear by leaving, it wasn't safe. Worth it, perhaps, but not safe. She wondered what he'd left behind.

She looks for names! Siblings of her father or past generations, if all were affected or just certain ones - first born, random, etc.

It seemed random, but Bobby does have a much younger brother. Tanner Blake. Age: 33. Living in territory 244.

She copies that down to another document on her tool! That was fairly close, all things considered. At least he didn't have to go halfway across the country for safety that she knew of.

She starts tracing back the family line! Seeing how far back it goes, the name of the first affected, anything she can find on them.

[Leon]

There sadly isn't much else to find, the records available only go back the last four generations, the knowledge given seems to be purposefully with held.

She'd make note of what she could, but it sounded like this uncle of hers was probably her best bet. If he even knew she existed, or would believe her. Bailed rubbed her face with her other hand, wondering what to expect there. More gods in the area, and qi beasts. The Knights of the Round.

'Please don't tell me I'm related to one of them.' The thought was mostly to herself, popping up out of nowhere. She knew nothing about them, but knew someone who did. She just didn't feel like knocking on his door, literally or figuratively. Still, if she was going to talk to Hades about freeing Loki, anyway.

Before hitting that particular topic, she looks to at ages of those affected by the time they died, and any notes pertaining to that!

Ages of reported death are pretty random, though everyone began showing some signs at around the end of their teenage years into the beginning of their twenties.

So it boiled down to her making her own choice, to live and figure out how to do this on her own, or see what her uncle might have to offer for insight. It felt odd even thinking of knocking on his door in the first place, nevermind the motivation why. She shook her head, checking to see if ht other generations resided in the same territory. 244.

Then again, she was halfway to planning a trip to god territory anyway, if Hades wasn't still at Cabal for whatever reason.

Though that did also bring to mind Mathew's suggestion about Chaos. Someone she knew nothing about, but the title alone made sense. She just didn't know the ins and outs of politics with the gods. From what she coudl tell, they would be mess.

'Do you know Chaos all that well?' It was worth asking Loki about, at least, though she woudln't commit to it yet. If she went the route of the death god, it would be better to handle that first than take Loki along for what could be a potentially messed up right.

"The Titan? As well as any God knows a Titan I'd say. Depending on his mood and what you were willing to trade, lose, or whatever whim struck him he was pretty much down for anything. I wouldn't suggest fumbling around with that one though, if he even survived the war."

[Bailey Oleander]

"That sounds about right, then." She nodded, leaning her head back to look up at the darkening sky. "I'm not exactly fond of the idea, myself." She'd take her chances elsewhere. Shaking ehr head, she looked at the hand with teh tool on it. She had meant what she said; she wanted to learn to control it, or find a way to be rid of it without resorting to the caller. But control would mean using it, too, which meant results she wasn't exactly comfortable with. Like the part of her that had been horrified at the thought of using children as weapons, drowned out by the acceptance that it was what it was.

"Either way, I don't expect something for nothing, no matter what I do." Maybe it would be better if she had someone who had more experience with it; after all, if her father left for safety reasons, why hadn't her uncle? Was it choice, or something else. "Though it would help to know how it all started if this is part of my family's heritage." Mostly thinking out loud to herself, she stopped as she realized she was starting to get repetitive. Drawing in a deep breath, she exhaled slowly and continued.

"You are good with this, right? Breaking the soul bond?" She turned to the monitor again, check to make sure they were actually full blood siblings as she spoke with the god in her hand. It didn't stop the memory from the other night coming to mind, though, bot of them swearing they wouldn't just let the other go off alone or risk death, respectively. She figured it had been a heat of the moment thing.
