She frowned at the lack of information, the feeling unsettling as she saw the red weapon and mangled corpses. She wiped a suddenly itchy palm against her skirt, copying over what she could to the word document and typing a few notes and thoughts to go with them. She'd take a look at the tech purchased in case it was anything she might be familiar with.

Since information on her father was classified, she would see if she might be able to gather more information by some form of login. Since she's still part of Cabal and the rank of Command Pillar.

The tech was all the usual stuff, initial PT purchases, blue prints for efficient mining devices and mostly Qi crystal networking applications to work with the PT's.

On the log in using her name and status within Cabal she got in with more information. But only a single bit of ainformation became available.

"Last seen two hours ago crossing the border of 244."

Her hand froze above the PT monitor, staring at the single sentence that sent the world spinning. Her breathe caught in her throat, unable to remember how to breathe until she felt her lungs burning. She wallowed down air and stomach acid alike as the last memory she had of her father forced itself to the front of her focus: his body, battered, broken, and damaged from the malfunctioning tech and the mine collapse that had come with it.

"That...that can't be right." She shook her head, talking to her uncle no longer the focus. Instead, she went back to the video that was claimed to be of someone related to her, wanting to see it for herself and see their face.

There was no reason Cabal should have this information. No reason that it should exist. It had to be wrong. Had he just packed up and left everything behind again? For their safety? She scrubbed her face with her palm where she could, trying to get rid fo the numb sensation.

[Leon]

The figure was in the shadow, a sillouette of the fires raging around it, hunched over, breathing heavy. Hair disheveled and clothes tattered. It was nearly unrecognizable. Any similarities she could of picked out where out of focus, or only in frame long enough to blur out of it.

"Looks like I'll be making another trip while I'm out, after all," she murmured, frowning at the image like it would be able to provide better answers that way. Of course, it couldn't. She shook her head, looking to see just how high level the clearance required for more information is, in case she needs to ask a favor.

She decides to do a scan of herself with the PT for her own future records and monitoring how things progress, all things considered, and takes a look at what the monitor picks up.

Bailey could not tell how high the clearance is needed to see the information, she simply does not have access.

"Whats the plan now? The video doesn't seem to show any good signs, and your dad being in the same territory as your uncle is a little... Fishy."

[Bailey Oleander]

"Considering he's supposedly been dead the past six or seven years, it's more than just a little fishy." She spoke in an almost absent tone, looking over any immediate scan results she could get. There was still a lot she didn't know about this, or what it would mean to her. She sighed and shook her head.

"Well, first stop once we get some of the others settled in will be to go to Cabal. I'll see about the qi collar and if Mr. Sudeki is able to let me know any further clearance I may need - and what it will cost me if I do go that route." It woudln't come cheap, bu it was tied to why she was a Command Pillar in teh first place, and it could cause issues if she wasn't the only one running around with this power or something with it. Unchecked, it could be...messy.

"Otherwise, I at least seem to be able to monitor his cross-border movements here. If it really is my dad, I can keep tabs on his movements. 244 is just past God Territory on the other side, anyway. We can continue on from there after meeting with Lord Hades."

And tell Blake she might have to go on a bit of a trip to go with it. At least her people were without complaint for now, and seemed okay with the concept travel to the new territory.

Her scans showed anomolous Qi flow, but other than that she was healthy. The mask showed up as a large Qi energy manifestation that seemed to constantly be putting out a massive amount of energy, though it never seems to effect her.

Given what she knew of her bloodline, the qi flow didn't surprise her, though she would make note of it as well as the energy flow coming from the mask over her face. To her, it felt as normal as anything else, but perhaps she would need to conduct a couple of experiments of her own just to see what it was doing. It was odd enough that it appeared there in the first place. The last thing she wanted was to find off she was making things worse for the others back home, or at her new home.

"Still, why go back?" She shook her head with a small hum and rose to her feet. "And why does Cabal know?" That was the main reason she wanted to ask, she realized. Just why was it that level of clearance and so much higher? What was the safety he was working towards, and why go back to where his brother was?

...On that note, Bailey takes another look at her uncle's records. She looks specifically for station/rank, occupation, something that might give her a sign of who he is as well as how she might be able to contact him without a drama bomb.

Her Uncle held many ranks, many titles, from all over. He held ranks from all four major academies, and was even labeled "Ex-God of Nightmares." in one file. It would appear he was highly trained and served honorably in every known major military force. He also held graduation titles from Ayatlan's magic academy for Theory and Application, Zekunft's Academy for Diplomatic Negotiations and History, Prota's academy for Science and Technology specifically writting a published article shared amongst the territories that drove much of todays Qi Engine research titled "The Missing Link between Science and Supernatural Science."

Bailey took a deep breath and reread that list of honors and accomplishments, suddenly feeling like an underachiever. Was he drive by passion, or something more? Her gaze went over the options she could dive into, deciding to locate a copy of the publication for the qi energy if she could as she continued to talk with Loki.

"Is there a god dedicated to nightmares? I've heard of creatures that do similar things, but that's news to me." Mara, for example, but she doubted her uncle was one of those.

[Leon]

Loki would hum a bit.

"There is a faction considered 'New Gods' when someone shows such promis or immense power they do not need a god right. Like Mister Sudeki. He didn't fit a mold in the slightest so he became a god of Vengeance. He didn't want anyones title either, he wanted his own, stubborn. It could be the same for your uncle, there are many creatures of Nightmares, primordial gods and titans, but few Gods of Nightmares, and even then, they would of had a name. If he is simply of Nightmares, then I would say he fits that sect."

She could find a copy of his paper, very extensive, very proven, a few papers trying to discredit it and failing miserably.

She saves a copy of the paper to look over in detail later.

"Another sect?" She chuckled. "No wonder your politics get so messy." It made sense, at least. She shook her head, wondering what pushed him to that level of power as well as the "Ex" in his title. It was evident he was working towards something and hadn't reached it yet, whatever answer he sought.

She checks into her uncle's last known whereabouts and location, since apparently daddy dearest is border hopping.

Her Uncles last known location is stated:

"Seeking retirement in 244."

She would close out of her Command clearance level and turn off the PT, closing her eyes as she rubbed her temples with her fingertips.

He was alive. He was high-level security known to be alive and actively traveling. No one knew. They thought he'd died. She had seen his body. In person. And now there was a video of someone faded and hiding away. A new identity with a damaged body, maybe? Did she even pursue it? He'd gone this long with everyone thinking him dead, never reaching out to them. Letting them live their lives. Did she honor that, or continue to nose around? What if whatever he was doing doing had nothing to do with it?

What if he had a new family again? The thought was enough to fill her with a stuttering anger as a bitter laugh escaped her lips. She shook her head and pushed the thought away. Unlikely.

She rose to hear feet, looking over the camp that would be moving towards 63 again in the morning, knowing her road would continue farther still, wherever it lead.
