[Leon]

Bailey would find they are full brothers sharing both parents.

"Yeah if we can figure it out. Though the darkness is growing and I'm not sure you are ready for it... I kind of want to be sure I can be there to help you when the time comes."

[Bailey Oleander]

Another theory down. Bailey turned off the monitor again, her lips curling a bit at his words before the more serious tone set in. She'd been worried that the darkness may have been Blake, once, and she'd left him when he was in a rage. Mercifully, that had either not been the case, or was only part of it and had been redirected.

"I remember you mentioned it spreading. The exams at Cabal are just another part of it, aren't they?"

[Leon]

"I can't be one hundred percent sure. It could be part of the effect of it, but when I was the tree I could sense over a vast network of energy. I don't have that connection anymore. But I know it's still there, still growing. And it has to do with you."

[Bailey Oleander]

She could appreciate the blunt honesty, even if it did leave her quiet for a while after that, worrying at the inside of her cheek. Given what little she had, she had to onder...but like Loki had said, he no longer had access to sensing the twists and turns.

"You know, I took your words for a more outward approach. Facing it wherever it came from the world." Sher fingers brushed her hair out of her face for a moment, briefly touching the exoskeleton that hovered over part of her face. She still wasn't used to it being there. It was distracting.

"I'm starting to feel like the connection's a little more personal than that. They completely wiped his history...I don't even really remember celebrating his birthday as a kid." And now her birth father's records said 40+. No one knew, for their own safety. It was like her personal Pandora's box, and if that wasn't a red flg, she dind't know what was.

[Leon]

Loki's turn to stay silent for some time.

"We could always take a drastic route."

[Bailey Oleander]

It was hardly saying no, but she left him to his silence. Right up until he spoke, sending a little warning bell off in the back of her brain.

"A drastic route?" That felt like most of the options she could come up with. What was more drastic than dealing with death gods for a trade, sacrificing control for her stability, making her way up to the frigid north, or facing a family member she didn't even know existed until now?

[Leon]

"Well in my personal belongings is the orb I traded Mathew Amtrum years ago. Well I used to orb to figure some things out. I figured out that you can create a sentient living thing by giving all of your qi energy to the object. It's how he brought a giant stone dragon to life. Maybe we can do that with the chaos within you... And ask it."

[Bailey Oleander]

Impressive imaginings of a dragon aside, she wasn't saying no. If it was possible, she might be able to manifest that part of herself and speak to it.

"Would it be contained, or is that the drastic part?"

[Leon]

"Hit the Baldur with the thistle."

Yeah bad saying on his part, but it was part of him.

[Bailey Oleander]

She actually snorted at the comment, shaking her head.

"You're starting to make me wonder which one of us is supposed to be Baldur and who the weakness is there." She mulled it over some more, finding she still wasn't instantly declining it.

"Honestly, it sounds as good as anything else we have right now. I'm assuming that would also be in god territory?"

[Leon]

"Yeah that's where all my stuff is."

[Bailey Oleander]

Decisions, decisions.

"Sounds like we're headed there either way. I'd like to see about one of the qi collars before we try it if we can." She didn't like them and didn't mean to use it on herself, but whatever came of the chaos being free was different.  Then again, it sounded like a manifestation of her own qi, a part of herself.  It could just backfire, but keeping it from spiraling out of control was something she wanted to keep possible. Much like she was trying not to think of all the 'what if's that were running through her head the moment she said the words.

"If that's even possible."  How Loki wasn't going mad himself in her head some days was beyond her, but he knew the details of the orb more than she did.

[Leon]

"Asiv would know about the collars, or your Commander might considering he wears them on the weekends I hear."

Loki joked about the frequency of which Leon was in jail.

[Bailey Oleander]

She laughed quietly at the joke; it felt strange, coming from her, the sound less restricted than her usual chuckle.  When was the lat time she'd laughed aside from the light humor when she had been home and helping others get ready?  When she first arrived and Cabal and me Rhona?  Preston? 

Either way, Loki wasn't wrong.

"True. I was thinking of Mr Sudeki, actually, since he's at least aware of the situation." And had been the one to offer it to her in the first place. Asiv probably knew, but she'd interacted with all him of twice since coming to Cabal.

"I'd feel better if we could manage that. At it's in me right now; I feel like making it its own sentient being is asking for a giant target over my head so the universe can smite me a little easier."  While she spoke, she decided to access the Cabal civilian database with the same information, searching for now on the names and locations of her uncle and anything a search for her father's name might bring up.

[Leon]

She found nothing new on her uncle, a few purchases and reciepts for random tech under the other names, video footage captured during the war claimed to be one of her relatives, but it was shaky, lots of fire, and hard to make anything out besides a red glowing weapon and mangled corpses.

All information on her father was classified.
