Introducing the team (Squad Training)

Cael had received the noticed that he'd been assigned to a squad this morning.  He wasn't sure if it was normally this quick or not, but he suspected with the trials coming up soon Cabal was trying to get everyone as prepared as they could before it happened.  Smart considering how aggressive the rival leaders were.  Or at least one of them was.  He didn't recognize either of the names, but that didn't matter.  They would all start together then, and he'd get the ball moving by sending out a mail to Lann Cantor and Hyacinth Faye requesting they meet him in the training grounds so they could get to know each other as a squad.

That's where he'd wait, arms folded over his chest and leaning against a tree, watching and waiting to see who he would be working with during his time at Cabal.

Job: It's time to get the squad together and hash out our problems. Be they in the field or with each other personally.

Bonus: Fight each other, discuss problems, and grow together or apart.

[Cain Rhamos]

Lann starts heading to the training grounds, but as it stands, it takes him a full fifteen minutes after they were supposed to meet for him to show up.

Unfortunately, he was still as hopelessly lost as ever when traveling Cabal's grounds. When he finally does get there, he sheepishly looks at Cael, and Hyacinth if she's there before him, before smiling awkardly.

"Uh.... hello..."

[Kaia Galanos]

There were so many things she could be doing, but it seemed interacting with actual people was on her list today.

Not at all planned. Okay. Kinda not ready for it. But duty calls.

Faye would show up looking grungy as heck, perhaps unshowered and not having slept last night. It's hard to say. Regardless, she's here at least, her eyes transfixed on a beaker.

"You the guy?" she asks Cael, ready to wait 15 minutes for Lann.

[Caelan Xander]

"I suppose I am."

He'd say moving away from the tree to greet the first comer. He assumed it was Hyacinth but he could be wrong. Either way he extened a large hand for her to shake in greeting.

"Pleased to meet you. We have one more we are waiting for. The notice I received said they were moving to three-person teams now."

Though he wasn't here....

He would try to engage her in small talk until Lann arrived where he would be greeted by Cael.

"Hello there. You must be Lann?"

[Kaia Galanos]

She shakes his hand...or rather lets him probably grab the entirety of her hand and shake it.

"You too. Wasn't on a team before." she shrugs.

She gives Lann a nod when he arrives, but doesn't say anything to him yet. He looked out of his element already, no use bombarding him.

[Cain Rhamos]

Oh geez. They were both here already.

"R-right..."

He nods, looking between them. Both of them seemed to be pretty serious, so he should likely take this seriously as well. As such, he stands there, waiting to see what they were summoned for.

Cael just stood there kind of awkwardly when no one did anything. He'd sweep one of his hands through his hair and widen his eyes as he blew out some breath trying to think of what to say.

"So uh. I'm Caelan and I thought if we were going to be assigned together we should get to know each other. Learn what we can all do. Chances are we will be using those abilities in combat sooner rather than later. So it's best we get the learning out of the way."

Totally.

[Kaia Galanos]

Faye sighs through her nose before shaking the glass container.

"I'll go first. I'm Faye."

She seems to stress that part.

"Make potions. Alchemy. Takes some time. Warn me if you need something."

She gives a sharp nod. Seems about all that's worth explaining, right?

[Cain Rhamos]

"Oh. Okay."

Lann nods to Cael, before turning to listen to Faye, as it appeared she preferred to be called. To be honest, he wasn't sure what he would need potions for, but he assumes she has a better idea of how to use her power than he does. Besides, it was a good example for how he was supposed to respond.

"I'm Lann. I can make little slices of wind with my fingers to cut things."

He wiggles those very fingers.

[Caelan Xander]

"Nice to meet both of you. I'm Caelan and I just get stronger and tougher I guess? And I can summon the weapon of my heart."

He'd concentrate a moment and a pair of brass knuckles materialized on his fists. "With them, I'm able to bolster the heart of someone else and strengthen them."

[Kaia Galanos]

Faye's eyes widen and she leans in close to the brass knuckles to observe them.

"Fascinating. How do you do that?"

[Cain Rhamos]

What.

Lann just stares.

He has no idea what that even means.

[Caelan Xander]

"I open my heart to others. But I was only able to do this after it was ripped from my chest."

[Kaia Galanos]

She blinks and slowly raises her gaze up to him.

"Sounds pleasant."

Not.

"And who ripped it out? Can anyone do it?"

Not necessarily saying she wants it done. But it's an interesting phenomenon.

"You... don't have a heart...?"

Lann asks softly. He's very concerned.
