Elias, as might be expected, waits until the very starting explosion to suddenly summon his Keyblade. He has no intention of running a fair race, and while the explosion would certainly disorient him, he's already swinging for the first non-Cabal person he can see.
Of course, afterwards he would chase them, and promptly fall into the quicksand, but still, he's eager to hurt someone.

Summon Ability: Tyrants Cold Blade - Elias' heart is cold and malicious. A Selfish and black heart has turned the Blade of his Heart into a frozen long sword, permeating frost. Rhona would summon her blade and swipe the air with enough force to break through! She could do this and let the blade dissipate there after. When it came to the pit she would be no doubtedly stopped.
"John, Tina!" she'd reach for her team mates or else be out of the race then.

Rhona: Shining Black Star - Rhona's bright disposition is offset by worry and fear of herself. Head: Rhona's Necklace of Sweeping Storms: +4 defense - Ability: Rhona can use the air around her chest to stop and hold a single blow that is thrown at her without having to block with her hands. Legs: Dust of the Desert Fox+2 Def, +2 Eng - These leggings are a sand colored, and they give Rhona intense strength the longer a fight goes on. For every 5 posts in a fight, she gains +1 to Atk, Spd and Def up to a maximum of 5 to each stat.
Misc: Rhona's egg hatches!
Lycoan appears. A man in ancient Roman armor stands a six inch tall Noble stance.
Lycoan can transform Rhona into a werewolf form. Large stands on two legs werewolf. In this form her speed, attack and defense are all raised by 10.
Rhona is able to scratch or bite an ally and infect them with a werewolf like transformation granting them +5 attack, speed, and defense for 5 posts.
Misc: Dragon Scale's: + 5 Eng, +5 Spd
These scales are summonable with a massive release of energy around the body like flames. They last for up to four posts. When active they add +10 Eng.
Special: Rhona's Storm Shield: +3 Speed, +3 Defense - A shield made of electricity, It's worn as a plain purple bracelet on the wrist, and when raising an arm and clenching a fist with blocking intent, a shield made of sizzling electricity forms. If it makes contact with a body part, electric damage equal to energy is taken by an enemy.

Oni would fall back indeed. The force of power that errupted throught the land was intense and it smacked her and sent her tumbling. But once she was up she would be able to make some head way while some were. Falling in the pits. Stevie was knocked over by the blast! Ouch! She fell down on her booty! No time to spend thinking on it, she’s gotta go! Scrambling up, Stevie looks around, the bright light from the explosion still slightly blinding her, but she can still see well enough to run! Unfortunately not well enough to see the quicksand until it was too late!
“Ah hell! I’m stuck!”
Figures. Blinded, blown on her but, and stuck in quick sand. Why... why... why.

Melanie was blown back, and partly blinded, BUT she did see the quick sand and was able to get past easily. She wore a nearly permanent frown, however. This was proving to be a bit more difficult than she had expected.

Rose's eyes would blink rapidly as she's suddenly able to understand things so much more than usual. (Perception: 25).
She'd gasp as Elias started to dart forwards to attack, quickly jumping to tackle him down by his legs.
"W-wait! Th-the ground!"
If anything at least she stopped him from going into it...going any further however was not looking good.

Faye hangs onto Cael as they're all off. For now she's just enjoying the ride. She's more of a counter type. If something goes wrong, she'll get her hands dirty. Cael and Lann are doing the aggressive stuff well enough.

At the start Krane wasn't ignoring people he was getting into the event. No holds barred style get to the end type of race. He needed the peace and quiet of it all and when they were told to get to the starting line he did so. The explosion went off and Krane was almost able to stay standing before going to the floor. He got up quickly pulling out a drink and chugging some, throwing it to the side as he grew to thirteen feet tall. His feet would dig in, ripping into the cement and earth, upheaving large chunks with the force applied as he darted forward. He noted his speed compared to others and so he extended a bunch of his Tentacles to grab and carry the Cabalian Soldiers. Tina, Cael, Stevie, Melanie, Oni, Rhona, John, Elias, and Rose. "Everyone! Use Projectile attacks if you have them! If not look ahead and clear out obstacles!" With that Krane would hurl everyone he picked up straight ahead! Atk: 78 Spd: 82 Def: 86 Per: 38 Eng: 98
Arm of the Kraken: Krane is able to generate a tentacle limb of ice from his body that can hit someone with the Attack of his Energy stat +1/2 his energy stat. 147

Consumeable: Blood of Fenris Wolf - This item has two drinks available to it. May be used once per thread. Once this has been drank, the one who consumed it grows to twice their height, and all stats are doubled. This lasts for 5 posts or rounds.

John barely stayed standing at the explosion, but managed it. The red haired man wouldn't take off immediately though, he'd pop a can with a big smile and chug, the liquid draining from the can, dribbling down his neck and onto his shirt. His muscles bulging from the regular toned size, complete with blood vessels visibly pumping blood through his body. Dark circles appearing around his eyes as he chuckled and took off. Noticing Tina go for her attack he would leap her quicksand trap and pull her free. "Keep u-" John was caught mid sentence by a large nearly invisible tentacle, hearing the orders. "Don't mind if I do!" Holding his hands out in the direction of the other teams, spotting Avice he'd make a kissy face and a wink. Though fire would immediately erupt from his hands in a jet stream to cloud over the field as he was dragged along! Then he was fucking THROWN! SERIOUSLY?! Atk: 25 (45) Def: 25 (45) Spd: 30 (38) Per: 22 (26) Eng: 35 (45)
Flame Thrower: John can fire a vortex of flames from his hands adding half his energy stat to his energy stat..

Tina explodes some poor sap off course into a sand trap! But ends up sand trapped herself! Until John yanks her free!
Avice is out running and dodging like a champ, Arcenus a bit in front of her!
Arcenus is able to jump to the side and avoid Cael's attack!
Ali is able to get herself out of the quicksand!
Elias strikes out with his keyblade! Hitting one of the Royal Guards from Zekunft who is promptly thrown into their partner, who helps them. They then leave Elias in the dust and sand... Literally.
Rhona was stuck! Until a large tentacle appeared and ripped her free!
Everyone else is saved or picked up by Krane who hurls everyone!
The second trap however is going to meet them in the air! blue strings of Qi energy flail in the air aiming to strike! If they hit someone they stick! To see them moving you need 20 Perception, to avoid it you need 45 Spd! If hit it lowers your Spd -5!

Cael would pull Lann and Faye closer to him as they are thrown toward the blue web of Qi. Focusing his energy into himself he'd navigate them through the web untouched so that he could land on his feet and keep running!

Bladed Knuckles - Caelan's heart reaches the heart of others easily. Therefore the blade of his heart is made up of the energy an ally is lacking. Bladed Knuckles give +18 to whatever stat is Target Allies lowest stat. Can be used on himself if there are no allies. Costs one UP to activate for the thread. +18 Perception to Rose
0 Level - (Inner Strength) Caelan can add 125% of his energy to his attack stat and 125% of his Perception to his Defense stat for one post.
Level 1 - (Killer Focus) Cael adds 75% his Strength to his speed and 75% his speed to his strength (Both calculations are done before the buff is added to them from this ability)

Faye for some reason keeps her eyes open as they're launch so they get really teary. But she has a need to know where the hell they are going.
She grunts as they land, glancing around to see if the only people around them are Cabal. Because if not...
