Kickin' It (Open)

[Tina Bennet]

It was a relatively normal day for Cabal.  Birds were singing, flowers, were blooming, and minor explosions were happening!

Minor because they were contained to a specific space and size.  Small for now, Tina was playing hacky-sack the way she knew how from back home: with a metal soup can.  She hummed to herself, keeping tempo with every time she kicked the can or flicked at it with an explosion.  Inexplicably, she also had a small pouch of marbles and was rolling one between her fingers.  Each contact proved to e the cause of hte explosion as the continually damaged can flew up in the air for a moment and came back down.

"All around the stactus plant~"  She wasn't damaging property or people's face, so she didn't care if other people cared that she would doing this on the front lawn where anyone could see.

[Jade]

Jade slowly walks closer to the pounding sounds that she can feel, though she's careful to stay back. She's unsure what this is, exactly, but is interested in finding out what it is.

[Tina Bennet]

“61...62...63.” Tina kicked the can a little harder, grinning as she sensed an audience nearby. She’d start up another song to keep her rhythm, oblivious to its cultural reference as usual.

“One, two, Tina’s coming for you,” she sang, the last word emphasized as she kicked it up higher than the others, the metal now blackened and burned. The can itself was dented nearly in half.

“Yo! Gotta pay if you gonna watch the show.” She grinned at the person just watching her, giving a dramatic pose and turn as the can flew up out of sight for the moment.

[Jade]

Jade's head turns towards the singing girl, and she shakes it softly promptly after. She doesn't have any money on her, and even if she did, she couldn't exactly... watch the show.

Instead, she tentatively comes closer, arms wrapped around herself.

She's curious, but not sure how to approach this girl, yet.

[Tina Bennet]

She just kept creeping over, withdrawn like a kicked puppy. Tina frowned, planting her hands on her hips as the can began to fall back down to the earth.

"Uh-huh. You got a name, or what?"

[Jade]

Jade frowns, but nods. She opens her mouth, and at first, no sound comes out, despite her lips moving. Then, after her eyebrows furrow together in concentration, she tries again.

"...J-HAY-de..."

She frowns afterwards, knowing how she sounds.

[Tina Bennet]

That was different. Tina looked the other girl up and down, noting the empty gaze and the difficulty speaking, not to mention the neck scar. It was pretty sick.

"Jade, huh? Cool." The can came within range for her to kick it with a small explosion, sending it into the air again.

"I'm Tina. You new?"

[Jade]

Jade nods again, agreeing as best she can without having to speak. At least this one didn't make fun of her... verbal issues.

"...h-OW....are yoooou DO-ing tha-at?"

[Tina Bennet]

"What? This?" She fistbumps the can and starts bopping it around at various body points. "I dunno, I make things go boom. The classes talk about charging it with energy or somethin'." She kicks the can into a tree! Poor tree. Poor can! But it was better than kicking it at Jade, mostly because she didn't want to get yelled at for blowing up one of the new kids again. The scars didn't bother her, nor did she feel the need to ask a bunch of questions right away. She lived in the desert wasteland; she knew what scars were and what certain ones meant when she saw them.

"What about you? You do something special, right? Like punch a monster into a bloody mist?" She starts getting excited, hopping from foot to foot. "Or throw a small island at a bunch of people? Walk through walls? Oh! Do you shoot lasers out of your eyes?"

[Jade]

"I..."

Jade frowns, then shakes her head. All of those abilities sounded much more flashy... much more useful than her. She turns her head away, 'looking' in a different direction.

"...F-EEL... mo-ore..."

[Tina Bennet]

"Liiiike super sensitive?" She cocked her head to teh side, the small conquistador on her shoudler watching with curiosity, the feather in his cap bobbing with her every step. She stopped a few steps away.

"Can you feel me here?"

[Jade]

Jade doesn't turn her head, but she nods after a second.

"...yes....Li-ike a hOT....f-f-fire..."

Qi use: 1/10

Level 0 - Jade is able to channel her Qi into her senses, allowing her to 'feel' the environment around her. This adds half her energy to her perception.

Tina's eyes widened as she suddenly fell still, staring in silence as a toothy grin began to creep across her face.

"So you can sense thiiiiis?" She grabbed a marble from one of her pouches and charged it, the energy bubbling up inside the marble before she flicked it at one of the nearby picnic tables, where it exploded on contact. The wood splintered and shattered with a powerful crack. It was significantly more powerful than the one she'd been using for the can.

It didn't have the same effect as someone else being there, though. Sh frowned, looking around and hoping to find someone else of interest to test Jade's powers on. Tina had volnuteered the girl and approved the request in the span of a second. Without telling Jade.

Zero Ability: Tina is able to charge an object and make it EXPLODE! 1/4 Energy stat damage is added to her attack if exploded that post or 1/2 energy explosion if it explodes the next post

[Jade]

"Y-"

Is all Jade manages to say before the explosion, causing her to shrink back. She hadn't been expecting the sudden shift in power, and it was enough to shock the blind woman.

She steps back, as if contemplating running away completely.

"...Wh-YYY...?"

Tina didn't seem surprised that Jade was backing away, nodding almost to herself as the girl questioned her.

"Just curious."
