Super Stealth (Open)

Cael was once again utilizing his super stealth abilities (which did not actually exist). Hiding behind some of the bushes that lined the courtyard of Cabal the upper half of his body poking out visible for anyone to see if they so much as glanced in his vague direction, the giant of a man was staring intently at a tree. His face and jaw stern, almost as if he was silently willing the tree to snap in half from the force of his stare alone. And the two squirrels playing on its branches to fall to the ground dead.



But of course, none of that happened, as Cael did not have any such ability like that. Rather, he was just staring, caught in his tunnel vision at the greenery and the creatures that inhabited it.

It was indeed impossible to miss the giant of a man, who happened to be in Tina's vision. The tiny teen had no idea why he aws just standing there, but she figured she could find out. The guy was almost half the size of her house back home, or at least half as tall! She bounded over to him, stopping as she realized he was staring at...well, nothing really. A tree and some squirrels. Was he slow? Doing tha meditation thing? Plotting some kind of sneaky revenge?

She sotpped next time, looking up at the man in chains and leather, then back to the chattering squirrels, who seemed oblivious. She, too, plopped down on the ground with as few cares as she had grace, resting her palm on her chin, waiting for the big surprise that had to be coming. Otherwise, why was he just standing there?

After about two minutes, at best, she huffed and looked up at the mountain of a man with a frown.

"I don't get it." She dind't like not getting things.

"Shhh. You'll scare them away little one."

He'd say softly, continuing to watch the cute little critters.

[Tina Bennet]

"They'll just scared away by something else." She shrugged, but did look over at teh furry little creatures. A far, far cry from teh creatures back home.

[Caelan Xander]

"Maybe."

But he didn't want to scare them.

[Tina Bennet]

Ten seconds of silence would pass before she'd look up at him again. Way, way up.

"Why are you staring at them? Staring's rude."

Because Tina clearly cares about what is and isn't rude.

[Caelan Xander]

"It's not rude if they are not people."

He'd say giving her a small pat.

"Because we don't have these where I'm from. They are interesting."

FINALLY, someone who had logi Not that Tina cared if what she stated at was an animal or person, but she understood the reasoning.

Huffing as the giant ignited her heckling, the teenager puffed her cheeks out and scrambled to he feet at the pat to her head. Her enchantment with the small fuzzy creatures had worn off months ago. At least in theory. Not like she’d climbed trees to get a better look at them when she first arrived at Cabal or anything, BAKA.

“They’re just squirrels.” She eyedhine again, heedless of what stress her hasty actions may have caused the creatures. Her interest was on the new guy.

“They like nuts ‘n’ stuff.” Is she trying to be nice? Maybe.

"I know. I used to see them before the war. I didn't know they still existed."

Because he lived in a desert.

"We should find something to feed them. If we are lucky we can get closer to them."

He nodded with purpose. Like it was the obvious thing they should do. The young girl now a partner not a stranger.

[Tina Bennet]

"Cool. A'ight, time to get these furballs some nuts 'n' junk." Tina would crack her neck from side to side, little vertebrae popping as she went from curious to badass mode. Stretching, she would break into a run at the nearest tree where the squirrels weren't directly in the way and jump, scrambling up it like she was one of hte creatures, herself.

Tnto the trees she would disappear, leaves rustling as she would try to pick...something out of it. She wasn't sure what, but she'd start flicking the fruit and nuts at Cael for him to catch!

Thankfully, there were no explosions. Yet.

He would catch what she threw down!

[Tina Bennet]

Cael gets a small bounty of nuts and fruit bits! Yay!

At last, Tina's foot can be seen on one of the lower branches, swinging back and forth as she hummed and eyed the squirrels chattering below. They looked so peaceful and stuff, the little twerps.

She flicked a nut between the two critters, whispering "FIGHT!" with the hopes they would do something other than chitter happily.

The little critters would indeed both go for the nut. Slapping at each other to try and take it from the other. That is before Cael gently tossed a few more at them. Slowly creating a trail to where he was hiding!

[Tina Bennet]

Tina grinned as the creatures both went for the treat, sitting and eventually leaning down to get a better look as they slapped at each other for their prize. SQUIRREL COLISEUM! At least, until the big guy started throwing more food to lead them towards his hiding spot. From her perch, Tina would hum a little and toss some to see if she could distract them from their path, watching as he continued his work before hopping down from the tree with her usual grace and a hop in her step.

She wanted to see what he was going to do next. Was it going to be an ambush? A fairy tale princess moment? DINNER?

One of the critters would peel off for Tina's trail of goodies. Cael for his part would move very slowly, squatting down and extending a large hand forward with several nuts in berries in it. Not moving and letting the creature decide if it wanted to come to him or not.
