She swallowed. All of this might have been a little too much for her.
Right now anyways.
This wasn't exactly the sort of thing she was used to.
She'd tangled with the Yakuza. Danced with them. Stayed within their grasp.
But she had been hidden, dangerously hidden inside.
She'd never been in trouble with the cops before.
Not like now, anyways.
"Valekin..................."
A soft sigh.
"When we get out of here...safe...can you teach me....."
strands of damp hair clung to her flesh.
"Some Russian?"

"It'd be an honor."
As they moved through the current of the man-made river. The terrain became more rocky, and the area became more industrial. It seemed they didn't really need to have to climb through a drain. This was Valekin's territory anyway. He led her to the shore and climbed up the fence, and remained just under the barbed wire. One, two, three! And he pulled himself through the air with his arms, and twisted his pelvis to change his trajectory into an arch. Not a scratch when he ended up on the other end of the fence.
Shink!
One swift motion, and sparks flew as the carbon steel went through the iron fence like a hot razor through butter. If she wasn't paying attention, it would have looked like he cut it with his hands. But she'd be mistaken, the Falcon blade was one of his greatest tools. He pulled back the fence to let her through.
"So have you ever been involved in crime before?"

"It'd be an honor."
Sweet!
"Heh, ok. Thanks."
The two of them climbed out from the water, pausing for a moment as she'd look around. Strands of pink hair clung to her face, wet clothes clinging to her now.
"Brrrrr...."
A small chill ran down the small of her back as she fallowed him to a fence, watching him make his way over. She almost grumbled, dreading climbing over the fence was gonna suck, but before she could even think of one more negative thought Valekin had solved the problem completely.
As he pulled back the fence, she'd slowly make her way through the opening.
"So have you ever been involved in crime before?"
Her body stiffened, eyes casting down upon the ground quickly. She'd swallow, before letting her eyes return to slightly glance at him.
She shook her head.
A sweet little lie.
"....No. Never."
Man...
"But what about you? You seem to know what your doing...."

"I didn't learn what I am doing through crime if that is what you are asking. I learned it through the military."
That sentence alone spoke volumes. I'm going to give you all a moment to soak that up. If he was trained through the military. Which military did that mean. Russian? It would imply that since he spoke russian. Very fluent russian at that. That would be the obvious assumption. He wondered what her reaction would be as he lead her wet through the industrial streets.
All abandoned.
All alone... and all brightening.
"Into this alley."

"I didn't learn what I am doing through crime if that is what you are asking. I learned it through the military."
"I wasn't asking."
I was implying.
A small laugh could be heard from behind him as her lips would snake up into some sort of grin. She could hardly contain herself for a very short moment.
Both hands clutched at her sides, rubbed gently. thumbs rubbing against the cold flesh of her elbows as she kept in suit behind him. Shoes gently sloshing, padding against the hard cement.
"Into this alley."
"I'm coming, I'm coming."
Said softly as she kept in step with him still, shivering gently as a small draft blew against them.
"Military huh? Sounds............."
Sounds sort of...sad.
"Cool."

"Don't care."
He lead her down the alley, and into another one. This particular back alley ran perpendicular to the street his Factory was on. Though.. why was he still leading her around? The Serb was absolutely sure that they were safe now. He couldn't hear the police. They were probably running in circles around the river. And by the time they had caught wind of them; Valekin's trail would have disappeared.
"I've been in the military... for nearly all of my life."
Hye ha ha ha
The insane laughter appeared again. And madness was clawing at the edge of his mind. He went in and out like this. It was kind of common. Sometimes he was straight nuts, sometimes straight insane, and sometimes in and out. So he was a roller coaster of insanity.

"Don't care."
She stopped for a moment, tilting her head as her feet took their final steps against the hard pavement. She blinked, glancing from side to side before letting her eyes finally settle on him once again.
He was an odd creature. Very odd.
A gentle sigh before she moved. Letting her legs carry her along the cement. Fallowing Valkein still, her head low.
"I've been in the military... for nearly all of my life."
"Oh?"
All she could think of saying. After all, his little 'don't care' had made her realize something.
He was right. He didn't care. About her, or her life. So why should she be giving a damn about his?
She grit her teeth.
Why am I doing this?!? WHY IN THE FUCK AM I DOING THIS?!?!
She breathed, still fallowing him.
Where is he taking me?

"Yes. Since I could lift a gun."
She... misinterpreted what he said. He didn't care whether or not she asked if he learned it through crime. He still answered the question anyway. It was his prerogative to discuss where he had learned all his tricks and such. He led her on down the alley for a while, until he reached the street his factory was on. Then he led her down that street, then into the building through the partician that locked behind them. Eventually he led her into a.. sort of study. Books, maps, couches, desk, sofas, the like.
"Two things. You're probably lying about being involved in crime, and I don't care whether or not you asked if I learned my skills through crime. I was thinking, and if I came off as crass, I apologize. I'll be back with a towel."
In moments, he did return with a towel for her, and one for himself. He tossed her the towel, and then dried his own long hair. It would take a little while... he hated getting completely wet.
"Want to discuss how you were feeling at the park?"
Did those eyes speak of... slight sympathy?

"Yes. Since I could lift a gun."
Blue orbs begin to blink, her mouth opening to speak but she'd slowly let her jaw shut on its own before letting those eyes look to the ground.
She'd assume. Assume that he hadn't joined the army on his own will.
And now as she'd lift her head to speak again, it was when he spoke to her.
"Two things. You're probably lying about being involved in crime, and I don't care whether or not you asked if I learned my skills through crime. I was thinking, and if I came off as crass, I apologize. I'll be back with a towel."
Fists clenched as he spoke, opening her mouth to speak again but clamping it back in place as he headed off for a towel.
A soft sigh.
Now, letting those eyes of hers travel the room.
Where am I?
She'd jump slightly. The sound of a police car blaring echoed through the buildings.
It was heading in the opposite direction.
Thank god.
In moments Valkein had returned with a towel, holding it out to her she would let her right reach out and grasp it within her fingers. slowly bringing the fabric to her chest as she let her fingers softly touch it. Fingers running along the seams for a moment.
"Want to discuss how you were feeling at the park?"
"....I..."
Obviously a touchy subject.
Draping the towel over her head, to obscure her eyes as she began to towel dry her hair. Rubbing the fabric over damp strands of pink hair.
"Normal teenage stuff...ya know?"
Wrong. Most teenagers don't kill their dad.

"Normal Teenage stuff? I guess I can't say what is normal or not, because I was never a normal teenager. But I doubt that most teenagers think about drowning themselves in a river in the early morning, when someone is bound to come across them an hour or two later walking their dog, or going for a run in the park."
He pulled the gun out from behind his back and dropped the clip onto the desk, then cleared the chamber of it's round. He took apart the weapon, piece by piece with his eyes closed. Moving slowly. He was unfamiliar with the model of the handgun. If he was going to run into the police more, he'd have to familiarize himself with their weapons more, and be able to disarm or dismantle them much more quickly.
"Did you know that dog walkers and early morning runners discover more bodies yearly, than any other group?"

"Normal Teenage stuff?"
"...yeah."
"I guess I can't say what is normal or not, because I was never a normal teenager. But I doubt that most teenagers think about drowning themselves in a river in the early morning, when someone is bound to come across them an hour or two later walking their dog, or going for a run in the park."
She paused, letting the towel hide her face like a veil. Her breath was feint, and now she was grasping the towel within her fingers.
"Y....your right."
Letting the towel fall from your head, still grasping it within her fingers and dabbing at her face.
"Its complicated."
Now she felt the cloth fabric within her fingertips, taking a deep breath before looking at Valekin.
A soft smile was sent his way as she folded the towel, and now headed towards a small sofa and would gently seat herself.
....complicated...

"Isn't everything complicated? In one way or another."
He started to put the gun back together now. With his eyes closed. Barrel, carbine spring, trigger mechanism housing. After a few moments of feeling his way around the gun, he had it back together. He put the round that was chambered back into the weapon and then slammed the clip into it's butt. The weapon was now loaded, and so many more possibilities stemmed from that. He flipped the safety on, and turned around to face her.
"Did you give me your name? I must have missed it in our little adventure. Though I do remember you telling me you can't swim.... Hmm.. I've been getting absent minded."
You're absolutely crazy Valekin...[/color]
Shut up Klaus...
It's the Truth....

Valekin?
"Isn't everything complicated? In one way or another."
She watched him, licking her lips. As if she was readying herself to speak, letting her hands fiddle with the folded towel within her fingertips before giving a small huff.
It's just, I hardly know you.
"Did you give me your name? I must have missed it in our little adventure. Though I do remember you telling me you can't swim.... Hmm.. I've been getting absent minded."
"Oh yes, silly me."
And I know you saved my life, I'm grateful.
"Calamity."
But, I just don't know if you'd understand...
under stand this feeling.
my feelings.
But confusion, and anger is a human emotion. Surely he must have felt these sort of things before.
He must have.
And now as she swallowed, tucking strands of hair behind her ear and letting her eyes find his again.
She'd smile to herself, suddenly changing the subject.
"Valekin, how do you impress....a boy. Tell me...what catches your eye?"

Her name was.. Calamity. A French word. Rather Derived from French. Valekin watched her with those ellipses, one flashed purple for an instant. But the color faded as quickly as it came. It was only there for a mere moment. What a shame. It was such a pretty color. But onto more pressing matters! Her name intrigued him.
"Do you think you are your namesake?"
Then she changed the subject on him. Which signaled much discomfort and anxiety. With a little prying, and the proper tools, he could know everything about her. And get her to confess it all. But, he didn't want to flay the poor thing. That would be unfortunate. To mar a youth like that. One that can turn her life around before it gets out of hand.
"Confidence, Originality, and Genuinity. As my father said to me; Valekin, you want no false gem."
He decided to go with the flow. Answering her question. He wondered if he'd ever see this youth again. And if he didn't, how much of an impact on her life he would have really made. If any. As time goes on, everything changes. And as everything changes; new things, and reactions, and experiments take form. That is, life.

"Do you think you are your namesake?" Sometimes. When the world is crashing in on me...
"Confidence, Originality, and Genuinity."
She had all that, didn't she?
Eyes blinked, hands stirring in her lap as she thought for a moment. Digits picked at the damp fabric of her clothes, an index finger circling around a loose thread of her shirt.
" As my father said to me; Valekin, you want no false gem."
She repeated him softly, her lips mimicking his.
"No false gem."
She inhaled slightly, letting the lungs fill her air before she released it and let her eyes fallow back on their coarse towards Valekin.
A very gentle, and delicate smile had found itself upon her lips.
"I wish to be some man's gem...some day."
