"Do you pay attention to the news at all?"
He asked, in a; please give me some background so I know where to start. Sort of way. In the back of his mind it tugged at him though. Did he want all those things? To love, to have a girlfriend, to make a commitment? Of course he did. That was one of the things he really wanted. But another thing he truly wanted, was that bitch dead.
That woman that killed his family. He wanted her dead.
No, alive so that he could torture her the way she tortured his family.
"If you have, you've probably heard about me."

"Do you pay attention to the news at all?"
"No."
A small shake of the head as her feet thudded against the ground. She made her way towards him. Seating herself next to him on the bed.
"I've never heard of you before, till today."
She pulled her feet under her, crossing her legs as she watched Valekin.
What was there to tell? He had shot a few cops. What could get worse then that?

"You should, the news is a reliable means of finding some truth. The police of this city, as pathetic as they are, believe that I'm the Cannibal Killer. Though they have no evidence, and the only officers of the law that saw me, are now dead."
He smiled, there was a unique satisfaction in knowing that you've trumped an entire city's police forces, and it's respected state's police forces. The next step up would be trumping the Federal Bureau of Investigations. The only federal agents that really stood a chance at catching him, were CIA agents. A serial killer wasn't really on the CIA's to catch list.
They had bigger fish to fry.
Valekin was a big fish, but not that big.

She swallowed, brows furrowing and her nose scrunching up slightly at the thought of it. Calamity would look away, biting her lower lip for a second before letting her eyes wander back on Valekin.
"But is it true? Do you eat people?"
She had to ask. Couldn't hurt, right?
She sat still in her seat next to him. She felt no need to flea, not yet anyways.
If he wanted to eat her, who would have tried already.
Right?

"Mmmm yes. I've been known to cannibalize. Though, that's our little secret. Now isn't it?"
Maybe she had the desire to flee now. Knowing the truth about the maniac. He had been driven to the point of madness, and had lost himself completely. His eyes focused on the wall, where blood ran down from the ceiling, dripping, and running down the wall.
Drip, drip, drip.
"Ah, what lurks beyond the veil of reality has shown itself."

"Mmmm yes. I've been known to cannibalize. Though, that's our little secret. Now isn't it?" Stay calm.
"Oh."
She nodded, in agreement. Kept nodding for a moment after that.
Dancing around her thoughts for a moment. Licking her lower lip as she looked towards the floor.
Oh. My. Fucking. God.
Her eyes snapped on him once again.
HE FUCKING KISSED ME.
She'd hold down her vomit. For now at least.
Her eyes fallowed his. Taking note of the blood.
She'd almost gag. But again she'd hold it back.
"Ah, what lurks beyond the veil of reality has shown itself."
"Indeed."

(Sorry, I wasn't clear. He's hallucinating the blood.)
"I know, it's a sickening practice. I wish I could stop frankly. But there's this thing inside me, a demon of sorts. A memory of an old friend, turned bad. And he's not a happy soldier. He has an insatiable desire for flesh. I on the other hand... have different tastes."
He ignored her audible gags. And her quirky behavior. But she asked, so she got the answer she wanted. Besides, if he hadn't told her, it would probably have come up anyway, and the same reaction would have followed. Thus, it was inevitable. He shrugged, taking the gun with him. It was a nice weapon. He liked it. Though, he'd end up getting rid of it soon. His finger prints were all over it, he'd have to melt it down.
"Shame. I believe Johnathan Swift wrote a satire about eating babies. Quite comical. His reason for it's acceptability was that American's do it. Nothing makes my behavior acceptable. But it is my behavior that I cannot control."

(Oh, I'm so sorry!!!!)
"I know, it's a sickening practice. "
"You think?"
"I wish I could stop frankly. But there's this thing inside me, a demon of sorts. A memory of an old friend, turned bad. And he's not a happy soldier."
A small laugh, head cocking to the side as one hand rested on her knee while the other would brush through tangled strands of her own hair.
"Jeeze, you just keep getting better and better."
"He has an insatiable desire for flesh. I on the other hand... have different tastes."
"Ohhhh, really?"
She'd seat herself now upon her knees, letting those hands of her's rest upon her knees as she sat excitedly upon the bed.
"And what sort of tastes would those be?"
She watched him carefully, after all..he fuckin ate people!!! She'd have to keep her eye on him.
But for some odd reason, she let her guard down. She could trust him. He wouldn't hurt her.
"Shame. I believe Johnathan Swift wrote a satire about eating babies. Quite comical. His reason for it's acceptability was that American's do it. Nothing makes my behavior acceptable. But it is my behavior that I cannot control."
She smiled at him, tilting her head to the side.
"Valekin, are we friends now?"

"That depends on your definition of friendship. Since you asked, I do prefer what people normally eat. But I have no real control over that. As for relationships, I prefer it to be.... a friendly relationship. Not one that's just carnal."
He thought for a moment, looking over the now giddy blonde. Blonde wasn't a natural hair color for Asians was it? Now that he thought about it, it did strike him as rather odd, and attention seeking. Made him wonder about her a little bit. Friendship, though. That was something that could go either way. It depended on her, depended on him, and depended on their actions. Vale had only one friend that truly respected him and loved him for who he was.
Of course, she didn't know about the cannibalism part yet.
But that'll be told in time. He just needed the right time.

"As for relationships, I prefer it to be.... a friendly relationship. Not one that's just carnal."
"I see."
Now swallowing, her fingers picking at the hem of her shirt before letting go. Looking off to the side and now returning her gaze to him.
"Well, I should be off."
She stood, placing her feet upon the ground and makeing her way to Valekin.
"Thanks, for bringing me here."
just like that? She was gonna leave?
Yes.
She was getting the point. He didn't want her there.
Maybe some other time they could meet up, and talk. But right now, he probably wasn't looking fo rnay sort of new friends.

"That's your choice. But do you even know your way home? You don't even know where you are do you? I can't let a new friend walk around an area that's known for gang warfare. That wouldn't be very friendly of me, would it?"
Yes, the area had been known for Blood and Crypt wars. As much of Southern California was. But that wasn't going to stop him, from stopping her from leaving alone. The safety of his friends is his primary concern. What kind of friend would he be if he let her get shot to death. These two gangs aren't exactly the most friendly towards Asians. In fact the only local criminal organization that would take anyone no matter their ethnic background would be the Black Hand.
And they were Vale's enemies.

"That's your choice. But do you even know your way home? You don't even know where you are do you?""Actually, I have no fucking idea."
She paused at once. Licking her lower lip for a moment before softly letting her head tilt to the side.
"I can't let a new friend walk around an area that's known for gang warfare. That wouldn't be very friendly of me, would it?"
Blue strands of hair fell from her face as she looked at Valekin. He seemed so kind, even if he did eat flesh. How could someone so caring and sweet eat humans?
She wouldn't still on the matter, not today. Valekin was a good person, in spite of the whole...human...eating thing.
A knight. In shining armour.
pffft. Those only exist in fairytales.
She'd hide her smile. Tucking those strands of hair behind her ear.
"Then, my dear knight...lead the way."

"Then follow Moi to my armored steed."
He said getting up to lead her to his garage. Which formerly housed all the vehicles of the employees that were no longer employed here. The only vehicle to be found, was the black corvette. One wouldn't know it by looking at it. But the cage and the paneling was all armored underneath. Tungsten Steel plating. An inch under the paneling. He did all the work himself.
The engine also had two cylinders more than it had to begin with. And to top it off, it had bullet proof glass.
"The bat mobile!"
He laughed. It wasn't really the bat mobile. But it could have passed for it. He unlocked the doors, and opened hers, then got in on the drivers side. Key, ignition. The vehicle roared to life like a hungry dragon waiting to devour it's prey. He closed his door, and turned on the computer systems.
"What's your address?"

"Then follow Moi to my armored steed."
She blinked her eyes. Swallowing and then quickly falling in step with him.
"You have a pony!!!Seriously?!"
No way!!!!
when they came to the garage she'd halt. Biting her lower lip and giving a small sigh.
It wasn't a pony. But it was still sexy none the less.
"Mama like!"
Skipping on over to the black beats of a machine she gently ran her finger tips over it. Now as Valekin opened her door she'd give a small squeal of delight and swoon into the seat.
She'd almost let out a purr as she buckled herself up.
"What's your address?"
Now, looking over at Valekin.
"Um?"
That wasn't an easy answer. She didn't know her address.
"Ummmmm, I live in the Canyon view apartments...om the business district."
A meek grin was flashed in his direction.

"Alrighty."
He tapped the keys on the mini computer facing him, and the Canyon View apartments popped up on screen. Then directions popped up, written in Serbian. The vehicle roared as he put it into gear, and pulled into the main lain. He tapped a button, and opened the garage door. And sped out.
Two words: Crazy driver.
Not only did he drive with reckless abandon, but it was way over the speed limit, and totally disregarding the rules of the road. To make matters worse, they accidentally drove right through a gang war. Bullets pinged off the car, not even damaging the paint job.
"I'm glad you like it. I could drive through a building with this thing."
Leaving the Industrial sector and driving through the residential sectors, they nearly hit twelve people crossing the street. Nearly pulverizing at least one car at each intersection, and practically run down some kid on a skateboard.
"Americans do not know how to drive."
