"Correct. Children's magic."
There was no small amount of smugness to his tone.
"We all have our strengths. I for one and able to aid those who but wish for knowledge or something more. Sometimes I give warnings, but often such things are unheeded by those that believe they know better than I."
He'd say, his gaze staying on Ali and Michael.

Her eyelid twitched as Lucifer confirmed her magic was...children's magic. The thought made her blood boil, dismissing it in the same breath he named it. It felt like what she'd worked so hard for amounted to little. Then again, maybe it did to the gods.
"I see." The statement blanketed both archangels' explanations as to what they did, though her uncle's words did catch her curiosity rather than her ire. Something as simple as a wish seemed too good to be true, but it was worth knowing.
"At least you still give them." Ali's focus shifted from her uncle to her father as she felt his gaze remain on them, wondering, for a moment, if he'd warned Michael about seeking her out. Or, maybe worse, about what would happen if he persued interest in her mother. Or maybe he just didn't like Michael.
"Spread the word on what, exactly?" She started to worry Michael might be one who actually believed he was the personification of the name he bore, but he seemed too level-headed for that. So maybe it was like what he'd told her when it came to the moving pieces of the territories and dangers in the future ahead.

"Basically our word. We may not be the real deal, but the values and things we represent are no less important. Though it isn't really different from other groups here. We don't agree on basic things. I believe we don't need to be worshipped to grow."
Michael chimed in unsure how to ease the tension between Lucifer and Ali.
"As I have said. Your warnings are appreciated, brother. However, our way is clear."

"What can I say, dear child. I am a giver."
He smirked and would lean forward, his eyes still fixed on both of them.
"Would you like a warning darling child?"

"No, I think we are fine here, Brother. I think it best she find out on her own. Thank you for the offer though."

It sounded like spreading good intentions without the heavier ties that could come with heir titles. A flicker of relief crossed her features as the redhead nodded and accepted the explanation. She couldn’t recall many views like her father’s.
Her ire rose with Lucifer’s taunting, lips pressing as she turned her attention to the man, only to find her refusal spoken for her.
“No thank you.” Her haze went to the woman who had so far been silent, then back to Michael. She wanted to ask more on his thoughts, but this didn’t seem to be the place for it.
“Would you mind if I joined you while you work?”

"I would enjoy it greatly if you came with me."
Michael would smile wide at that.

"Wonderful." She returned the smile with a light one of her own, unable to resist Michael's warm enthusiasm. It was almost contagious. There was a relief to hear, both to get a chance to see exactly what he did as well as get away from unpleasant company. Not to mention asking him questions without opinionated interruptions. The mage turned to Lucifer with a small, formal bow.
"I am grateful for the chance to have met you, Uncle." It wasn't a lie, though "grateful" had its own interpretations. The man's existence galled and infuriated her, with no direct ties to build off of other than her father's own time with him. Better to know a problem or possible problem than be oblivious about them.

He took a moment to look her over before his gaze returned to his book.
"No, you're not. Don't insult me or debase yourself with lies. I might be their father but it is not a homecoming I invite."

Michael would sigh and cast his gaze to the ground while shaking his head slightly.
"Well, we should be off for now. Our business starts in town, and the trail is long. Lucifer, Azrael has reports on some wrong doers around the church and wishes to speak to you about how best to... Ehem, cast about her vengeance."

Allison might have snipped back to clarify or reword her statement, but her uncle was already back focusing on his book. Her lips pressed into a tight line of displeasure.
"Perhaps not, but the experience was enlightening." And aggravating. It was hard to imagine her joining the church as he'd asked as it was; darling Uncle Lucifer made it more so. But, despite Michael's dismay of their first meeting, he also was able to keep Ali's attention and see them out, as well as intrigue her further. She couldn't help but glance at the other woman once mentioned. Until now, she'd been fairly silent. Still, she'd already asked to see what life was like for one of the angels, not all of them.
"I'm ready when you are."

He would watch them go before turning to Azrael with a small shrug.
"Nephilim. She will be a problem."
They always were.

Michael would lead the way out of the church and into the somewhat barren and craggy area surrounding it though a few people stuck about they seemed ot be poor beggars nothing more. As opposed to the rest of the Godlands. Michael would pull a pouch from his side and pass out bread.
"I know it seems an odd task, but making sure people have something to eat... Just seems to be common decency really."
They take the bread, in near tears, coughing, holding on to Michaels hands wanting more obviously.

She followed his lead, noting the harsh area that probably deterred many save the truly desperate or in need. Perhaps they were simply the ones that knew or expected him to be there by this point. Her ire from before faded as her gaze went to those who reached out for the bread as she shook her head.
"Odd for a god, perhaps, but not necessarily." She could remember times her family had gone hungry, herself included. When there wasn't enough money or business to go around, it meant finding other ways to band together and survive, to distract the children from hunger pains as well as the rest. They'd never been brought so low as to beg in the streets - not that she knew, anyone, though now Ali had to wonder what her parents did when they weren't around to try and ease the harder times. She shifted at the thought, trying not to frown.
"Here." She reached out a hand to Michael, as well, intending to pass out what bread remained of what he had brought.

Michael gives her a majority of the bread he still had though he kept some and placed it in his pouch waiting for Ali to pass hers out before they continued. He would lead deep into God territory to the Norse section, the snow fell, but it wasn't cold, frost formed from their breath, yet it didn't hurt to breath. Soon they came upon a camp, over a dozen female nordic warriors training and practicing with blades and ax's. A few stop and approach Michael with waves and smiles.
"Ali, these are the Valkyrie. One of the groups we work closely with. Their problems are our problems. Their leader is Hildr, I check in on them from time to time to make sure they don't need anything from our side."
"Michael, nice to see you."
one of the woman said, her hair braided and held back by a leather band.
"Hildr, how are things?"
"They are alright. Though we have had issues with a village to the east."
"Whats the problem, maybe we can help?"
Hildr looks to Ali.
"New recruit?"
Michael decides to let Ali respond. He knows she isn't, it's more like a ride along, but he figured she could speak for herself.
