Stevie made her way out of the school toward where she was told to go by Asiv. From what it sounded like to her, she was heading into enemy territory. She wasn’t really worried about it, but she would have to be careful either way. She did not know what Zenkuft was like, having never been there herself. However, it wasn’t that far out of her way. No, that was a lie. It was decently far out of the way, but she was willing to go the extra mile—or 100–to see the Blood Dragon again. She wasn’t completely sure she knew where to go, so she stopped at the front and searched for someone to ask. Raikotsu Sudeki

Jericho sat in a house, dilapidated and dusty, whittling away at a piece of a table he had broken against the back of a Resistance soldier. He whittle with small bone blades that protruded from his finger tips. What he carved so meticulously was a spindly black widow spider. He actually had quite a fondness for them for a couple of reasons; firstly, they only killed when necessary. They weren't the kind of creature to torture without reason, as humans so often did. In the animal kingdom, there is only survival. No morals to betray or ethics to ignore. Merely survival; kill or be killed. They didn't have to carry out justice like Jericho did, like his men were doing at that moment in the other room to the resistance soldier. Justice was not a concept to them, because no creature did anything without reason. Only necessity. Another reason he quite liked them is because they were one of the most feared creatures in the cruel dark world. He had used them many a times when carrying out justice; there was just something about them that could petrify a man, and soak him to the bone in anxious unease and terror. Especially when covered in an army of them.
Jericho held his project to the window and against the light to get a sharp view of it. It was perfection. Lowering it down again, he saw out the window a woman, seeming quite lost. "Hm." he muttered to himself. With delicate hands, he laid the wooden spider on the top of a high shelf. He made his way to the door, stopping by the room where his men were along the way to see what progress they had made.
One of the men noticed Jericho, and wiped his face of sweat. Inhaling through his nose to regain his breath, he approached his general. "Should we continue, sir?"
Jericho looked at the bloodied man on the ground. "How many bones?" his flat voice asked.
"Six. Both tibias, the clavicle on each side, his right humorous, his left ulna."
Jericho paused for a small moment to think. The other soldier of Jericho's had also paused for a moment to hear what his general's consensus was. The man on the ground, with shaky breath, looked up into Jericho's eyes.
"P-please. I'll- I'll never do anything like this again I- I won't even come back over here." He was kicked in his ribs by the guard that stood above him before he could continue.
"Three more of your choosing. Once that is finished, continue til you're tired. Then drag him out into the street and let him bake," Jericho's answer finally presented itself plainly.
"Yes sir," the one by the general responded over the man's desperate screams and pleas.
Jericho nodded, and with that he made his way out onto the sunbaked and ancient pavement as the muffled music of torture seeped its way out of the house's walls.
He approached the woman, crossing the 30 ft. distance that separated her from the house with an almost robotic march. By the time he had made it close enough for her to hear him without raising his voice, he began to speak. "Hello traveler. Welcome to territory 235. You seem lost. May I be of assistance?" The whole sentenced flowed like molasses from his mouth, without a single change in tone, speed, or rhythm, and void altogether of emotion.

Stevie stopped as someone made their way to her. He welcomed her and offered assistance. Odd tone though. To each their own. She mentally shrugged it off.
“Oh hello.”
She gave a sincere smile.
“I am looking for a friend of mine. Raikotsu Sudeki. Though most know him only as the Blood Dragon. Can you tell me how to find him?”
Her pleasant smile remained.

"You are in luck. I am Chief of Police in this territory, assigned directly by the Crimson King himself. I can take you to him, if you wish." Though he spoke of luck, his dry voice didn't change. Nor did his posture. In fact, it just so happened that a fly buzzed, landed on his forehead, twitched a little, then subsequently flew off as he spoke, and his body did not make any movement. He had not blinked once since approaching her.

Yeah. Weird was definitely the word.
“Alright That sounds great!”
She paused a moment, briefly unsure of f this stranger.
“Well, I am in what you might call a rush. Somewhat pressing news for Rai. Can we hurry along?”
She was trying hard not to be rude but hurry. He was also weirding her out.

Jericho nodded in two solid and stiff movements of his head. "Hurry we will then."
With that he would lazily turn a perfect 180 degrees, and go from his still position to a full on sprint in the blink of an eye. He was going to leave a note for his guards, but knowing she was in a hurry, he decided they were smart enough to figure it out.
Should she follow him, he would lead her to the blood mansion after about 15 minutes of pure running.
His body breathed heavily, but his voice remained even keel. "He should be in here," he said without facing her as he walked inside.

Stevie was about to say thank you when he FUCKING RAN. Really guy?! She took off after him and followed to Rai’s office, she presumed.
“Thanks.”
Her voice did portray her shortness of breath. She turned to the door and knocked.

The door would be answered by one of the many people running around the mansion. The man would welcome in the newcomer and Jericho, and assuming they were there to see Rai, point them up the stairs to a room on the second floor before scurrying off about his duties like everyone else. The door to Rai's office would be open, Rai himself would be sitting at his desk doing paperwork. Behind him would be two of the Royal Guards, both standing against the wall behind Rai at attention, watching, waiting.
Rai would look up as he noticed movement in the door way and notice the two familiar face. One his Chief of Police, Jericho, and the other... Ah, Stevie, the other that wanted to become the next generation of Dragons. Waving them in he continued scribbling something down on the report he was working on before finally putting it aside in what could be assumed was the "finished" pile of paperwork. He would set the pen down and sit up folding his arms across his chest.
"Welcome, Jericho, Stevie. What can I do for you this..."
He would turn around to look out the window behind him then back around to face his guests.
"Fine day?"

"I have no request," the Chief of Police would state plainly.
Then, in his usual movements that seemed as if he was programmed, he moved to the right side of Rai, facing the window so that he could look out from it. He would stand there motionless as the two spoke.

Stevie shook her head at Jericho.
“Hey. Uh, how’s it going?”
No time like the present to play with idle chit-chat. Also, she knew the news she bore was sensitive. She played with her hands a bit. Obviously nervous.

Rai watched Jericho go and stand by the window beside him. Man that guy is weird... Turning back towards Stevie as she spoke he would shrug.
"Busy here and there, taking care of a rebuilding Territory is full of hard work. How are you?"

Stevie kept fiddling.
“Oh, things are as they shouldn’t be. Leon is still gone, the territories are looking at a good hard time, oh and Asiv has all but declared war against the Dragons. So, you know. Normal stuff.”
She let her eyes travel his desk.

Rai just blinked and shook his head.
"Despite popular belief I'm not a complete fool. I can tell when someone is dancing around a real issue, and I've already heard about the situation with the Dragons and Cabal, and plan to talk with Asiv myself, actually I was in the middle of preparing to go and see him when you showed up. Now, what can I help you with? Today I do not have the time to relax and dilly dally."
Rai winced after speaking, he sounded a bit harsh, more than he intended to... but the news about the Dragons was causing him some distress, and he really want to speak to Asiv about it.

Stevie was taken aback. Literally. She took half a step back.
“Oh. I was unaware.”
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Why did you waste his time? Wait. Why do I care it’s not like I like him right? Shit.
“Well, mainly I came to inform you of that and also, I am headed to what used to be Texas to find the Water Dragon.”
And she rambles too. Great.
“Yeah, I guess it means I’m ‘switching sides’ it’s for something I believe in so I’m fine with that.”
Was she really though? Cabal has been her life for years.

Rai tilted his head as he stared at her. He would motion for he to take a seat at one of the chairs in front of his desk.
"Please, sit."
He would instruct. He'd wait until she either agreed and sat, or refused and stayed standing before continuing.
"I just found out from Angelonia about the Dragons when I was seeking permission to speak with Asiv. Otherwise I wouldn't have known about it, so I thank you for taking the initiative to seek me out and letting me know. That is something I would've definitely liked to have known sooner rather than later. However, that being said. I would like to know what you're seeking from me. I don't mind answering your questions, but I can't answer a question that I haven't been asked."
