Barker would shrug.
"Well my basement lab here isn't state of the art like my bases you all destroyed during the war, young Sudeki."
He would then push Avice as she was ready into the next room, where her son was in a large tube like she had been when she was in Prota's optimization center.
"He, for lack of better terms at the moment, has no... limiters on his body. Difficult to kill, and he even at this stage broke my finger while i was moving him over to the tube."

Rai would roll his eye.
"And we're still pouting about it I see."
He would mumble under his breath as he followed the two to the incubation room. Rai would listen to Barker as he explained the babies condition and tilt his head.
"That's... frightening. What abilities did you get from the baby's touch?"
Turning to Avice he would shrug.
"Its not every day you get to find out your baby's gender and qi potential."

She saw him and she pulled herself as close to it as possible placing a hand on the glass. "Gosh that is what they look like inside you..." she bit her bottom lip choking on what was left of words.
She looked at Barker to find this broken finger he spoke of taking a deep breath. "No limiters? As in he is at full potential and so to say that without fingers or eyes to speak of... I can't see any Qi stronger that mine... And he's." Thats why he's in this predicament mind so. She furrowed her brow further. "And what's this about him getting his ability?"
She rested her head on glass. There was too much. "So much I don't know or understand."

Barkers smile would spread wider than before, showing some teeth.
"I didn't. I had to analyze it the old fashioned way. To answer your question, my Qi allows me to create a replica of the energy of the person i touch, allowing me to put that energy into inanimate objects. It didn't work on your baby, due to the protections i put on it. To answer the other part of it, you and I have limiters on our bodies. It wont allow us to use so much force that we hurt ourselves. Your baby does not have that limiter. As well there is a regenerative nature to it. Not very powerful, but it's there."

"Hm... But no doubt it worked on me." she scoffed but paused a moment taking a deep breath knowing she didn't deserve to be mad at this point since it was her fault. "You can take what you will from me I suppose. I asked for this, though I can thank you for saving him the best you could at least. Is his "regenerative ability" similar to mine?"
She heard Raikotsu and her head whipped around to glare at him so fast. "How the hell do you figure that, Dragon?" she was a bit offended on behalf of the child. Funny how she'll call him Dragon when she is pissed off.

Barker would actually respond on behalf of Raikotsu.
"Because his regenerative ability worked even after he had died, and the reason zombies in most fiction are so powerful is because they also lack the limiters allowing them to rip peoples limbs off, or rip someones rib cage open so as to devour them. IT is a decent analogy. As for getting your abilities, yes, it worked on you before the protection was put in place. Though I wonder if you two should stay for... post operation counseling. It may do you some good considering the amount of self blame, remorse, and anger seems to be going around the room."

"Hm... If I don't go and report to Prota they'll start suspecting something, more so I did tell a fellow I wanted to aid him in his own quest to perfection. I am debating on going back a short moment." she wheeled herself sideways to the incubation chamber so she wasn't twisting so far to talk to the two behind her. She arched a brow and shook her head at Rai a twitch of a grin visible at the corners of her mouth.
Straightening up she spoke again. "However my priorities have changed no doubt about that... I am already planning on a likely hood of being on the run with the infant. I need to speak with Leon to get the last of my answers and If I am welcome to stay then I'd rather be here, swallow my pride, and face Mathew's wrath if he comes back, than leave the baby without me."
Nothing against Barker of course she already saw how he handles children and she wouldn't doubt she'll need the help. She'd regret leaving Arcanus behind but she wont go back on her decision if it meant Prota couldn't catch and trap her.

"I can't make any promises of your being welcome to stay. That is up to Mathew, but I can promise the baby's safety until he can leave with you. However, it is your choice to make. I could contact Mathew now and see?"

Rai's eyes went wide at the mention of Barker contacting Mathew about Avice staying here.
"Uhm... I don't think that would be a good idea. Because in order for you to stay here we would have to explain why you're here in the first place, and how you got here, and that would just lead to telling Mathew everything that has happened and then he would kill you, and make me wish I could die. Leaving your child here should be safe enough. I doubt Mathew would ask about the sudden appearance of a new infant in Barker's Lab as I'm sure he would rather not know why Barker has a new baby nor where or how he got it."
Walking closer to Avice he would place a hand on her shoulder in an attempt to be comforting.
"Despite what I have to say about Barker he isn't one to harm you child especially after he went through the trouble to protect the boy. But if you want him to be safe, it would be best to leave him here under Barker's charge and go train yourself to be stronger. In fact, why don't you come with me to the Sudeki compound, there are many strong warriors there, speak to my Father and he can help you find someone to train with that will be best suited to help you grow stronger in your desired area."

"Well, if you are taking her to the Sudeki compound there is also a portable incubation pod you could take there as well. I'm sure Kentler and yourselves would be able to personally protect him as easily as I."
Barker offered another solution to the current circumstances.

"He'll not welcome me... To my knowledge at least." she folded her arms. "After what I did to him... I wont hold my breath." which the thought ached at the likely truth that she would have to leave her son behind until it was time..
"Raikotsu... I doubt he'd honestly kill me, beat me maybe; torture and broken bones I can handle, but he'll not kill me. Seriously though you surprise me a bit; I wouldn't have pegged you to be so mellow dramatic." she shrugged. The Mathew she knew was far more merciful than the one Raikotsu knew it seemed.
"But that's not a bad plan... Unless you count the fact the Sudeki land was nearly scrapped off the surface by one demon, not sure I can bring the entire Protaen Empire down upon what's left. Not when claims of Strike himself to be stronger than Dragons. Further truth if I am a deserter to Cabal and now a deserter to Prota... How can they be sure I wont do it again?" she grit her teeth looking at the fetus in the tank.
"I need to speak with Leon before I decide anything final..." she looked back up at Raikotsu and then to Barker wondering if she can have that privacy.

Rai shook his head.
"This time is different. This time we're in his home intruding on his sanctuary. Where he and his daughter come for refuge. He already lost his wife and one of his daughters. I wouldn't be so sure he'd easily forgive what we did here today."
Rai shuddered.
"As for the compound attack, that was done by the guy that is going to be training me. I would be more worried about people attempting to attack us with both Kentler and Reisuke working together. Besides if we needed to leave we are nomadic. It wouldn't be the first time we've uprooted and gone somewhere else, hell we've done like 3 or 4 times since I've been alive."
Then he would notice that she was waiting for him and Barker to give her some privacy. Nodding he would walk out and wait for Barker.

Once they were gone she would take a deep breath and activate her connection to the otherworld. Leon's eyes were her own for the time being she'd likely hope to make good use of them. But that depended on Leon at this moment.
"Oi, Dragon..." she would start to get his attention.
