Slowly waking and feeling her mouth slightly dry. She was stiff and looked about the vague memory started to return.
She moved around and tried to comprehend what was around her.

Rai would be sitting off to the side of the bed, the left side of his face covered in bandages. He would look up at Avice his right eye would be full of guilt.
"Hey, how are you feeling?"

She narrowed her eyes at him. Raising up feeling the tenderness in her body and still bringing her knees up and resting her arms on them.
"What's with that look? Didn't think I would go through with it?" she looked away still mad at him.

She looked up as Barker made his presence known. She got quiet and waited for someone or both to start filling in her blanks.

"It seems your blood was both a narcotic and empathic drug for Raikotsu. He took on your personality for a short time. So he may have said or done things he didn't mean."
Barker filled in.
"So the brainwashing is gone, and you are protected against it happening again. I have also taken the liberty of enhancing your body in a few ways."
Barker would explain her enhancements.
"You may also notice you are no longer pregnant. To protect the baby from Prota he has been removed and placed in an embryonic tank to continue developing. However the process had some complications and the Baby's qi awoke to protect him. He is fine just will need to remain in the tank for the remainder of his development."

She remained quiet looking between Raikotsu and Barker as he spoke. Her teeth gritting and visual ripples of muscle tension are seen in ber cheeks. Discomfort realizing Rai's predicament and how she reacted to it without realizing. Putting herself voluntarily through these enhancements.
But then Barker mentioned her offspring. Her hands went to her hospital shirt and pulled it up feeling for a sign of truth about what he said. Her breath became sharp and her eyes piercing.
"He?... W-where is he? I want to see him." her voice was low and she was trying not to lose her composure before she knew all she needed.

Barker would nod.
"No problem he is in the next room being monitored so you can see him whenever. Right now however you need to move slow. So let me get a chair."
Barker would leave the room.

"You're stupid for thinking that... I'm stupid, its my blood I've let it become what people... I thought you just were using me as an excuse to be like..." she inhaled deeply feeling her eyes well up. There were a lot of incomplete sentences. Things she never wants to say or admit just trying to erupt from her tongue as she unravels.
"I'm scared of what I've done of what I will do... I'm not fit to raise that child. I knew it... I've gone too far this time!" she clutched her shirt with whitening knuckled tugging on it and stressing the fabric.

Barker had returned shortly after that with a wheel chair, old fashioned, kind of fucked up and one of the wheels wobbled.
"Here we go, best chair in the lab."

Rai was about to respond when Barker walked in with...
"Uhm... I think she might be safer just walking..."

She looked at Rai. "Its still safer than if Mathew was pushing me in a new one..." she wouldn't fight it. At this point she had just about given up. Slipping off the bed she slipped in it, the seat was loose on one side and she would sit crooked, still without complaint. She looked back at Barker to let him know she was ready to get moving, she waited to see her child.
She remembered when she lost her leg and arm. Mathew was still known by Eric at the time. David was there too. She remembered trying to stand for the first time and how feeble that would be. She didn't want to give up of course, but she realizes now they saw Determination and were willing to try and help her. In reality she was simply Desperate. Desperate enough to accept Leon's "short cut".
Mathew tried to help her... Tossed her out of the wheel chair one day trying. Her lips twitched in her grimace at the memory. Mathew's way might have yeilded a different result for sure, maybe she could have been better prepared for a day like today.
