Friendly match (squad training)

[Novocaine]

“How’s your hand to hand?” Nova would ask her fiancé suddenly as she was going through stretches in their small living-room.

“Obviously you’re covered in terms of ranged fighting.” She grins.

[Gunslinger]

Daniel is sitting at the table off at the side of the room, barely big enough for the two of them, as he is in the process of reassembling his gun Terrance.

“I haven’t really practiced it to be honest. Most of the time, I work on training to use my guns in close quarters as well as a distance.”

[Novocaine]

“Sounds like you could benefit from a spar then.” She says, pushing herself into a handstand against the wall.

“How about it? Fight me with no Qi or weapons?”

[Gunslinger]

“Alright.”

He shrugs, standing up.

“I’ll probably win though. Just saying.”

Because they’re a cocky family.

[Novocaine]

She gives a good natured laugh.

“Hopefully you give me a chance, then?”

[Gunslinger]

“I’ll give you something better.”

He smiles, stretching out his arms.

“I’ll give you incentive. If you win, I’ll do anything you ask me to for the rest of the day.”

[Novocaine]

“You may not know this, but that’s a dangerous wager for you.” She says, letting that sink in as she slowly bring her legs back down to stand upright.

She starts to adjust the bandages on her hands and wrists.

“Alright. Naturally the same goes the other way around. If you win, you can boss me around for the day.”

[Gunslinger]

“It’s a good thing I don’t intend to lose.”

Daniel laughs, before sliding his right foot back to give himself a more stable stance.

“Let me know when you’re ready, then.”

[Novocaine]

She glances around in surprise.

“In here?”

I mean if he’s not concerned with the mess that’ll occur from it, she’s down. The tiny space and furniture would make for some interesting moves.

[Gunslinger]

“I’m not afraid to in here.”

The only things in here he needed to work were his guns, and while they were on the table, he didn’t think they’d break that easily.

[Novocaine]

Yeah we’ll see.

She grins wider!

“Well alright! Just one more rule then. Furniture doesn’t count as a weapon so we can use the environment however we want.”

She takes a stance too, just to show she’s ready.

[Gunslinger]

“That’s fine.”

He nods.

It sounded like he’d have to replace some things at the end of this, either way.

Regardless, now that she was ready, Daniel steps forwards, aiming a palm strike for her solar plexus to take the wind out of her if it connects!

[Novocaine]

Nova goes to parry it by pushing it back towards the outside, rotating her body so she can step closer into him and send her elbow for his chest!

[Gunslinger]

Daniel’s eyes go wide as she parries his palm, and he reflexively goes to intercept her elbow with his other, free hand. It’s a half second too slow, however , and the impact makes him exhale in both pain and surprise.

With his grip on her elbow, however, he goes to push her arm upwards while sliding his leg behind her, aiming to shiver her over like a judo trip!

[Novocaine]

She’s content with the fact she connected, and doesn’t really retaliate much to her arm being moved and the following trip. Her free hand does come up to grip his shirt so she can balance herself after maneuvering her body like a cat in mid toss, planting her feet on the ground so she doesn’t impact with the ground!

As long as that all goes to plan, she doesn’t want to just hover there so she quickly goes to throw one leg up and behind his neck!
