She’s not in any position to stop him and Daniel can indeed slam her down.
Judging that she can’t stop the damage to herself, she tries to keep the grip with her leg by bringing it down in a way she can cross her ankles and bring his head down as well! At the very least she could keep him pinned as she recovered. Maybe.

With a second to wince and grunt, Nova would grit her teeth and try to wrap her arms around his closest arm so she could pull on it while stretching him the other way with her thighs.

Daniel protests are muffled, and he throws himself backwards, trying to wrap his legs around her waist from the back to give himself some leverage to pry her off his head!
His arm flails a little, but she grabs it pretty easily.

Grappling is all good, but if this ends already from them just squirming about on the floor she'll be a bit disappointed.

He admits, rolling his wrist a bit to release some of the kinks.

Fully expecting a regular running attack, Daniel's guarding hand is a little too low to stop Nova's punch, sending him sprawling backwards to on his back!
He quickly goes to get up, slipping a little with one hand at first!
