Making Camp

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike had separated from Eve and Mathew to find a suitable location to make camp. He decided to stay to the shadows and see if he could find animal paths through the brush and such. He wanted a place easily defend able, possibly high ground, hopefully hidden with some sort of natural camo.

He found an animal path that would head into some overgrown ruins. Rusted hunks of steel and dilapidated buildings lined the crumbling streets that have been reclaimed by nature.

Spike would stick to the outskirts of the ruins and activate his Seikatsugan and scan the ruins that he could see for aura's of living things.

Aura/Life Energy Perception: While activated Spike can see a persons life energy through objects if needed adding +10 to his Perception and +10 to his Energy

Spike sees a few different auras among the ruins. Some small creatures likely rodents and some larger ones that might be deer or moose. One that stood out at the top of the tallest building in the ruins was a single humanoid aura.

Spike would deactivate his eyes and wander into the ruins trying to find his way to this tallest building, doing his best to avoid the large animal aura's and where they were. If/when he got to the large building he would survey it a bit for entry points.

The large building was several stories tall, at least five. The front wall on the first floor was blasted open, and the inside looked to be crumbling in disrepair, but there was a stairway heading upward.

Spike would let his hand rest on the handle to his sword before walking through the blasted hole and making his way up the stairwell.

The stairwell went up a floor before ending in a broken mass. He could either jump and try to grab the non broken stairs dangling above him, or look for another way up.

This place was crumbling and probably wouldn't be able to handle parkour moves. He'd search the floor for another way up, and just to survey the place in case he could suggest Mathew fix it up as a base of operations.

The floor was solid enough on this floor, but he could see patches of it missing in the ceiling above him. The wall was solid and intact, however, and he didn't feel like the building would collapse randomly, though it likely would if it took a lot of damage or if an Earthquake struck.

As he explored the second floor, he'd find a ladder propped up against one of the holes leading upward!

~Note to self... If Mathew doesn't have his morning cocoa don't talk to him inside this building.~

Spike would make his way up the ladder!

As Spike approached the ladder his foot would snap and break a thin fishing line. Almost instantly a small dart would fly from a hole in the wall to pierce Spike's thigh!

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would attempt to rip the sword from it's scabbard in a slash as it was unsheathed with wind and fire to stop, redirect, or destroy the dart, slightly panicked cause he instinctively fears being captured.


Bane of the Elements: +4 Atk +2 Def

This sword used to be a bat infused with all of the elements, Spike had it reforged, during the reforging process the sword ate the flames and became stronger. The bat deals an automatic 50% Eng dmg in Fire, and an additional 15% Eng in whatever element Spike chooses.

Due to two nat ones the hand of fate causes the dart to bounce off the blade to the wall and ricocheted back into his neck. He'd feel a burning sensation where the dart struck.

Spike attempts to rip the dart out, and growls at the burning sensation. He still attempts to climb the ladder sword drawn now. Activating his Seikatsugan again to find this aura he is searching for.
