Break Time (Open/T-63 Charas)

[Lucille "Lucky" O'Donnovan]

"I suppose that is where the saying All is fair in love and war comes from. I've never saw my self incredibly suited for either but when it comes to that or expose my belly in surrender then I'd rather do the former."

She decided to refocus. "Alright, So I shoulder bump you as my quickest thought to action... what then?"

[Katsu]

"I'm sure you'd be great at love or war."

Katsu laughs, before nodding.

"Alright. So after shoulder checking someone, you'd have to see how they reacted. If their weapon is across their body at the far side, you have a chance to strike their stomach, chest, somewhere vulnerable. If not, then the best place may be to hit their leg, lowering their mobility."

She chuckled. "Awe, that's sweet of you."

"Hm... If I took the moment to consider those options it seems I'd think the legs might be where they'd least expect my blow... even if the torso could prove more fatal, I am lead to believe that a more experienced fighter would keep that well guarded, yes?" She actually made the swinging motion to stop close to his legs and mimic what she would attempt.

[Katsu]

"Absolutely."

Katsu smiles back.

"I only tell you to go for a more lethal blow if possible because you are inexperienced. You don't want to draw out a battle with someone if they are more practiced, as they have more techniques they can use to make up for their injuries."

He looks down at where she was going to cut.

"But, this would certainly put an end to any man's dreams."

She too noted his concern and withdrew the sword... quickly.

"My apologies." she was grinning from ear to ear but her eyes were quite sheepish and sincere in her apology.

[Katsu]

"It's fine."

Katsu laughs happily!

"You're aiming for the right spot, I think."

She grew excited a bit.

"Alright, mind if we put all those motions together?" everything they'd mentioned so far was Lucky's chance to see how it feels flowing together.

[Katsu]

“Alright.”

Katsu takes a step back, then holds his two by four out in front of him.

“I’ll match your speed. Ready when you are.”

She'd come at him taking a step forward and swinging the sword in. What might have looked like a crude horizontal slash as her blade carried her thrust with as much strength as she might muster.

[Katsu]

Katsu swipes his two-by-four downwards, grimacing a little with the effort.

And the fact that he was essentially making his blade smack into wood.

He struggles to hold the wood against Lucky's sword, making it a deadlock like they'd talked about earlier!

She would go in for a shoulder rush!

[Katsu]

Katsu gets shoved!

He stumbles a little more than he normally would, trying to show the advantage she’d created.

And she swung her blade stopping in the ground and lower near his knee to be sure she wouldn't accidentally knick him. That was more for feeling how she might move with a blade. With the ache in her arms she felt every muscle curve around the crystals as she moved.

It felt... Enlightening.

She actually stood back up once more after holding her position a short moment.

[Katsu]

Katsu flinches a little, but otherwise, smiles broadly at her!

"Very well done."

"Thank you. I think... I have a better grip on what I might be trying ti accomplish." she nodded.
