It had been a couple of hours since she brought her supply of beams and boards she was able to take from her stockpile of junk in the back. It wasn't the most high quality of materials but it wasn't rotting like the old beams and boards. She hammered away at a portion of Katsu and Yanmei's roof. A satchel containing a thermos and a fresh tight bowl of lunch dangled off a hook over the edge started to sound incredibly wondrous. She had felt exceptionally weakened after her surprise trip down a rabbit hole of some kind. After a couple of nails further in, she noticed a drop of blood had fallen on her overalls.

She felt her heart just quake, troubling over the sight, and knowing what was happening. Since exposing her skin to the air and environment of Dra Aht she felt she had been tricked or trapped by someone who just enjoyed a laugh. She was now going to carry with her the energy she absorbed through the crystals she bore.

Scooting to the edge of the roof she undid her bandages and decided to examine the newly expanded crystals. Her skin was irritated and red, some of it was cut and it bled. It concerned her but they hadn't seemed to move since that day. Not continuing to expose them to intense energies should keep them safe. Aside from the minor soreness and the bleeding she was fine to continue.

[Katsu]

Katsu is in the process of setting up one of those beams of wood when he notices Lucky undoing her bandages. He props it against the wall, then walks over, looking up from the ground.

"Hey. Are you alright? Did you hurt yourself?"

[Qi Yanmei]

Unlike Katsu, Yanmei had the ability to fly, so the sprite would pop up next to Lucky to get a look at her injury.

"Hmm, it looks pretty b-AHH!!"

The sprite flies way back!

"W-what they heck!? Are you okay?!"

[Lucille "Lucky" O'Donnovan]

She didn't say anything at first except she covered her arms back up and grabbed her lunch box to climb down the ladder she had set up at the corner.

"Let's take a break." She went and sat crossing her legs on a stack of boards. "I am alright... my arms just get a little irritated once in a while." Her silence was however obviously to refrain from saying the whole truth.

[Katsu]

Katsu tilts his head in surprise.

If Yanmei thought it was bad... it must be bad.

"You're...sure?"

He asks, moving to stand somewhat close to the boards Lucky's sitting on.

"I don't mean to pry, if you're uncomfortable."

[Qi Yanmei]

Yanmei floats back down to hover slightly behind Katsu.

"That's not like...an allergy, you know..."

[Lucille "Lucky" O'Donnovan]

"No, indeed more like an infection or ah... Parasitic Fungus if you will" she rubbed some dirt off her cheeks and moved some hair from her face while thinking of what to say next. "I had a lab accident where and invention blew up in my face..." she raised her arms. "Well...blew up in my arms as I shielded my face. Shattering in my bones and using up what Qi I had over stuffed them with to eat and become the structure of my arms."

She popped open the thurmos and the smell of a brothy soup entrred the open fresh air. "I have no Qi, that energy cant run enough through my veins to feed these crystals. However outside influences... Are a different story. I happened upon a place while looking for another Qi crystal reserve, a fucking trippy place and having them exposed in such a Qi concentrated area... They have grown a little bit." she pinched her pointer finger and her thumb in the air with but a little space between them to signify how little the issue meant to her.

[Katsu]

"Your crystals... devour qi?"

Katsu frowns thoughtfully.

"Why?"

[Qi Yanmei]

Yanmei shrinks a bit at that.

Eat Qi. Yikes.

[Lucille "Lucky" O'Donnovan]

She chuckled a bit. "Remember what I was talking about last time I was here? I have exactly that but growing in my skin. Kind if my own personal reserve except they are weak and... Digging them out is a level of self harm that I dare not try to attempt."

[Katsu]

"That is... unfortunate."

Katsu admits, nodding.

"How long have you had them?"

[Qi Yanmei]

"And...have you ever tried getting them out?"

She assumes yes but who knows. The lady really seemed to like Qi crystals. Maybe she thought they looked nice on her skin.

[Lucille "Lucky" O'Donnovan]

"Eeeh, not terribly long maybe a year?" she cupped her chin in a couple of fingers pondering. "There were attempts to analyze if they can be removed when those came back with the information that they rreplaced my bone then all thoughts of removing even a small portion of them left my mind."

[Katsu]

"They replaced your bone..."

Katsu folds his arms, frowning thoughtfully.

"I had no idea. Do you know why they're acting up now?"

[Qi Yanmei]

Yanmei tries not to gag.
