Oh, she already hated this. She could feel the cynicism and mockery about to start when Strike looked up and the castle wasn't already falling as they spoke. Her lips pressed in a tight line as she felt the retort build up to the point she opened her mouth to speak, only to shut it as Shin hurled a spear that sent everything flying.
Including Prota's target.
"Wonderful." Ali's nostrils flared as her tattoo lit up at the back of her neck once again as she soared to get behind the stranger. "Raztal!"
She was not in the mood to play. The chain would launch itself as she darted to the side, intending to shackle the man with the barrel around the neck with it as she channeled her energy through it to attack and bring him to the ground.

Power Tattoo [ADD-ON]: This tattoo glows when needed adding +5 to a chosen stat. If there are any other Power Tattoo's in a thread they also activate. The Tattoos connect and add all bonuses to each other. (If one person activates it and gets +5 Atk, it activates someone elses tattoo, they choose +5 Spd, both get +5 Atk and +5 Spd.)
Ability #4: Ensnare - "Raztal" - Shaping the energy she channels around a target, Ali is able to bind an opponent's movement for a post. Can be broken if their ENG is higher than hers

Strike would snap a finger with his left hand while still looking up and the third winged man would flap his wings and go on the offensive. Ali's chains would wrap the man, but he had moved his other canon in the way, however the damage that channeled through it would hit. As the winged man approached and swung his right claw at him, his coat would flap into the way created a hardened rush of water, deflecting his claw. Pointing a canon at the winged man he would fire a burst of intense rushing water, which would miss his body, striking his right wing, snapping it like a twig from the force.
The winged man would land but stay on the offensive, it was obvious though.
"I think he is trying to escape or retreat."
Shin would say. Strike seemed unconcerned.
"Let the lower life form do what he wants, he will die either way."
The Lion headed man would roar before charging into combat himself. Shin would hold out a hand and another spear would materialize just out of reach of his hand before he snatched it out of the air. Strike would look at Allison.
"I do enjoy a good show of force from time to time. Would you care to see the outcome?"

"He can try." The downside was, she'd be helping the man be defeated by Prota, and who knew what that would entail. But would it be better than the Conqueror's forces getting to them, instead? It was less a question of her being worried about his death rather than the manner of how it would happen. But the man was probably caught between Zekunft and Prota, and he attacked Prota's border so....
Not her problem.
"Raztal. Kek!" She would evoke the chain and attack again, frowning as she looked back to Strike as their conversation continued. It was a repeated attack, but given the man had water on him, she added her bloodline's gift to the attack to send lightning through the chain as she landed on the ground. Stretching sucked. A lot.
"I imagine many will when it happens. Unless you have something else in mind." Her halo would shift into existence.

The man would yell out from the pain this time, the added Lightning doing quite a bit of damage as he jumped back out of the way of an explosive strike from the Lion headed man. After a second the winged man's wing would snap back into place giving it a few test flaps. The guy with the canons would point them down and blast off into the air then again to retreat by flying away from the force.
Strike would nod.
"Take my hand, and you can give up energy to see the future as events lead to now."

To Ali, it would be more useful alive to question rather than die at their hands, but it wasn't her call, though she was curious to see if they would make the same conclusion.
Until Strike made his offer. She frowned, then shook her head. She was not about to just reach out and touch a noble, let alone an Emperor, and let him put whatever images he cared to share in her head. Along with whatever else.
"Thank you for the offer, Emporer Strike, but no. If you wish to share what you have seen, though, I would be willing to hear it."

Strike would retract his hand, shrug and close his eyes.
"Sadly, my sight doesn't work like that. I don't get to use it for myself, and the sight I give people is only for events they actually witness around a specific idea. As you say, many people will see this event. But, I can wait if you can."
Strike would nod with a smile, the two Protan soldiers would return to Strike.
"He got away."
They lower to a knee and look to the ground. Strike would sigh, and nod.
"That will have to do for now. Remain on patrol."
They would push off the ground with a hand to stand up and begin looking around again.

And if the bazooka-toting man had heard, he could pass on the message.
"I see." Ali would sigh softly but stand firm in her refusal to Strike's offer, her frown fading to a more neutral expression.
"I will keep it in mind, but yes, I will wait."

Strike would look at Ali a bit closer now.
"Well considering your injuries, even though you are a fairly powerful Mage. I would say your usefulness on this battle is about run dry. Thank you for the message though, I look forward to King Oleander's feat of making a Castle fall from the sky. A target to attack in retribution for them attacking my territory is nice."

She held Strike's gaze as he studied her with more interest, more than ready to leave. She would accept the note on her level of ability, though she hated that the man had gotten away. She had thought to Protan soldiers would be able to handle it from there. Next time, she woudln't ignore her initial instinct.
"By you leave then." She nodded and would kneel regardless of assistance. She was ready to go home and deal with teh bitterness knotting in her stomach.

Strike would open her door and help her in if she needed it. Shin would raise an eye brow, but would move to get in the drivers seat to start it up. Strike would wait to Ali was in before closing the door, leaning in to smile and wave at the window. Shin would throw it into reverse, back up, turn around; and get the fuck out of dodge.
"Man, that guy is creepy."

Why was he smiling at her?
Despite him being the one to escort her into the jeep and shut the door, it was the smile that did her in. The proximity left the hairs on her arms rising like being too close to a snake, but that smile made her question everything she'd done since nearing Prota's border.
"Yeah." She shuddered and settled in, ready to put as much space between them and Prota as she could. Or as Shin could, really. She eyed her escort for a moment.
"Nice moves back there by the way." She could appreciate a man who knew how to handle himself on the field.

"You could look into it," she agreed after a moment, a sense of pride filling and restoring her. The academy didn't produce failures, especially with how elite it was. She knew that too well.
"You'd have to prove yourself capable of study, though. There's a hefty exam to pass first." She turned to look at him instead of the road. "I imagine the other battle mages would love you, though." Why did that make her gut twist a little?
Oh wait, that would put him in Ayat---
Ali's cheeks turn pink as she quickly looks away and tries to refocus.
"I'm surprised he was able to get away."

"Awe man, an exam."
He says dejected and rubbing at the back of his neck with a sigh. Though her next comment made him grin. The following change up made him nod.
"I've never seen someone's Qi automatically protect them though. Usually if you are fast enough you can bypass any defense someone throws up simply due to reaction time, he didn't even try to defend himself, the water just reacted on it's own."

"Mhmm." Her fingers drummed against the edge of the door, just missing the window.
"I wonder if it had something to do with the barrels? Some form of augmentation or extra sort of work done when they crafted it. But if it acted on its own..." She counted' be sure.
"We'll need to make sure President Asiv knows when we make it back. The High Chancellor, too."
