A storm was coming. More than the dark clouds thickening and swirling overhead or the smell in the air, she could feel it on her skin. It felt alive, a change from the sunshine she seemed to come across lately, and a grin of anticipation lit the pirate's face as she felt her mood lift. She didn't have to worry about locking everything down; she could enjoy it.
"Perfect," Rozalin murmured.

Drake would be out and about. Enjoying the gloomy weather. The cool wind carried the smell of rain. He enjoyed the rain. It was one of the few things that allowed Drake to drift away and escape from the shit that was his childhood. So, out he would be waiting. Like one would wait for a long lost friend.

She noticed the single figure in the distance, but didn't pay it any mind. If Rozalin could enjoy a walk, so could the next person. Her smile faded only slightly as she closed her eyes and inhaled the fresh scent of incoming rain.
And yet, he stayed as she approached, letting her get a look at his face. An air of expectancy hung about him.
"Nice day, isn't it?" Dear gods, small talk. What was wrong with her.

Drake's attention was pulled to the woman speaking. Apparently to him...
"Uh, sure. I guess. If you're into this kind of weather."
He would look her over. Something about her... it reminded him of the girls back at the brothel.
"Do... I know you? You seem... familiar."

"You're not?" She raised a brow, wondering why he wasn't here unless he had to be now. Still, it wasn't really her business. He wasn't bugging her and didn't pose a threat.
She let him look her over without being disturbed or irritated, treating it as if it was as normal as breathing.
"Mmmm." She shifted so one hand rested on her hip as it cocked you a bit. Now that he mentioned it, his own face was somewhat familiar. A Cabal newbie, maybe? She hadn't paid a lot of attention to the people while she'd been there; she'd been more concerned with getting out.
"Come to think of it, so do you. Don't suppose you've been to any military academies lately?" She chuckled.

"Cabal, I just joined... but that's not where... never mind, you just remind me of some of the people I grew up around is all. Though, I guess if you don't recognize me, then you aren't from there."
He would shrug, and look up to the sky.
"Actually, I do enjoy this weather. I'm just surprised I'm not the only one."

"That can mean a lot of things. Some of them are probably accurate." She chuckled and shook her head, curls falling around her shoulders as she looked up to the sky.
"It's different when you can enjoy it on land. Open water, you have to prepare for the worst. Now I can actually enjoy it." She glanced at him from the corner of her eye at the mention of Cabal.
"Well, here's hoping your stay is as good and brief as mine was."

"Cabal is only a means to an end."
Drake agreed. He would look back at the woman.
"Names Drake."

That, too, sounded familiar.
"Same. Or was, anyway." She grinned and nodded.
"Rozalin." She stretched as the first drops of rain started to fall, heedless of what assets it emphasized.
"Good luck with whatever it is."

He would take her hand and shake it.
"To become strong enough to kill the Dragons."
Drake was not ashamed of his goal.
"What did you gain?"

Her grip was confident and firm, fingers calloused from weapons and labor, but the touch soft against his wrist as she pulled her hand away when done.
"An interesting goal." Her smile turned wistful, but her eyes took on a light of mishceif when he turned the question on her.
"Aside from placating Asiv? Freedom."

Drake nodded in understanding.
"Freedom is a good goal to have, and one not many truly have. Which leads me to wonder. Did you truly get the freedom you sought?"
Drake used that moment to activate his eyes and stare at her soul, to see what kind of person she was.

Waxing philosophy now?" She shook her head, the silver of her eyepatch glistening in the dimming light.
"Technically? No, but i doubt anyone really gets what they think they're going for." A different kind of catge now, gilded instead of violent as the sea or her Captain. Drake woudl be able to see her morality more positive than one might expect, tainted with draker things done in her past. A line of loyalty that stood out in a sea of chaos.
He'd also notice a second soul, more chaotic than hers and definitely not Rozalin's. More questionable, but undeniably a part of her, too.
"But I got something I never had before, either. The freedom of choice - one that's truly mine." She looked him up and down.
"So what makes you hate the big bad Dragons so much?" Most she knew hated or feared them. It was safe to guess Drake was the former.

"My father was one. He abandoned me and my mother, and my mother taught me what the dragons were and what they did. And after meeting one, and after a brief glimpse into the past, I know that the stories I heard were far from false. Thus, I will rid this world of their corruption, once, and for all."
That... was an interesting reading. Her soul made sense, though, again, strangely more on the light side than what he was used to... however it was that other... thing that he was reading.
"Uhm... What is..."
He would start to say staring at her eye patch but he decided better than to pry... at least for now.
"Never mind."

"Oh really?" Her brows raised, even if he could only see one through the patch. It was interesting that he stared at her face and not lower, but a refreshing one. She leaned forward a little, just to test it and for her own amusement, her cleavage well displayed.
She wished she could say the same, but her parents died when she was young. They weren't the ones for her to hate, and as for who...well. He had a special place in her heart that left it darkened.
"A familiar story. I know a few with similar stories." And it was one she refused to have for herself or any children she could have spawned over the years. Her expression turned thoughtful until she caught him still staring at her eyepatch and trying not to be obvious.
"Oh no, do go on," she teased. This was interesting.
