"I'm sure it gets them somewhere." She chuckled, hopping a tree root with a surprising amount of grace.

Drake would shake his head.
"A quick death maybe."
Drake shrugged. And found a stump for him to sit as well.
"Or maybe we just live in shit times."

"Probably both." Roz would lean against a tree, wall, something that wouldn't crumble at a touch as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Alright then, Dragon Slayer. Here's one for you: what happens after Cabal and you succeed?"

Drake would think intently on this question. It wasn't one he hadn't thought about, but it was a difficult one to explain.
"That... depends on what happens to me. You mention Qi scars earlier. I've been to one. It showed me a possible future. One in which I had become something worse than the Dragons after killing them. If that happens, I suppose it'll be my turn to be hunted down and slain."

Rozalin would nod at the mention of being to one. She'd been to one herself, albeit not in the middle of it.
"Qi scars have a way of bringing about the unexpected. Last time i was near one, my partner and I found a girl, unconscious, who'd lost her memory and sense of time.
"I suppose it depends, too, on if you plan to fight back when they hunt you down. Or how far you're willing to go to kill them if you just become worse than what you hate." She looked at the sky and let the rain wash over her face. She could have been one, herself.

"I'll accept my fate, whatever it shall be. As long as I can once and for put an end to the Dragons as they are."
Drake would say firmly, and without any form of hesitation or regret.

Ari whistled in her mind, the symbiote giving Roz the impression of giving Drake another once-over as if seeing him for the first time. She nodded, finding no reason to argue against him. There were plenty who would gladly join him if they were less afraid. Or strong enough.
"Well then, like I said, good luck. I'll keep an ear to the winds on you."

Drake did a cocky smile.
"I'm sure you'll hear about me even if you weren't trying."
He would chuckle.
"Well, how about yourself. You said you got your freedom. So what big plans do you have now that you've achieved it?"

A smile at his question, going from sly at his cockiness to something softer.
"A second chance." She shifted, hip resting against the wall as she looked at him. "I had a chance to show up the people who brought me to Cabal and earn my freedom, and to make a new life for myself. My life. My choices." Even if she wondered how long she would stay. It was hard, putting loyalty to someone else almost as high as loyalty to herself.
"Money, for one thing. Not having a leaking roof or boat, or someone to beat me if I don't do things the way they want. Food that isn't rations or just gone bad." And a gilded cage, to boot. "It coudl be better, could be worse. It's a chance to see what I think of it."

Drake nodded. He understood all those wants and desires as well.
"Hell, that sounds like a good life to me, better than what I'm sure either of us are used to... I sincerely hope you achieve your goals, and find your peace in this world."

"You, too. One day." She didn't know about peace, not for certain, and it showed in her voice, but she was doing it day by day like anything else.

Drake felt the same as Roz did whether he realized that she felt the same though was unlikely. However, he had emotions welling up inside of him that he didn't want anyone to witness.
"Well, I'm out. Still got a lot of training to do to become strong enough to fight and kill the Dragons. After my last... fight, with the Earth Dragon I found out just how painfully unprepared I am to take them on."
With that Drake would pull up his hood over his head and start to head out into the rain.
"Till we meet again Rozalin."
He would say with out turning around. He would look up at the sky, letting the rain hit his face. His heart was aching... But, when it's raining, no one can see your tears...

"Until next time, Drake." She raised a hand in farewell as the kid up and left. She had no idea if he'd get where he planned to go, but he was already on a different path than what he started on, and that was important.
Stretching with a sigh, Rozalin kicked back on the trunk he'd occupied for a few minutes before heading back home, herself. Back to work and hte life that waited for no one.
