Drake shrugged. Completely unfazed, nor did he even seem to notice, by her bending over.
"Alright, the hell is that? Why do you have a second soul living inside your head?"
He would say pointing at her eye patch.

Even more interesting. This one didn't care. She could roll with that. Straightening, Roz would eye him a moment, taking more consideration as she did so. He saw more than just an eye patch and a story for those who just wondered about false or missing body parts. Last time she'd seen one of those, it'd been Sage. Spike. Whichever he went by.
"Let's call him a friend." She rolled her shoulders, wondering if this was going to get hostile. "We found each other at a time we needed one another."

"Welp, I've got no room to judge. I don't think my wife is even human so..."
He would shrug.
"Stranger things I suppose. Though, I would be curious to hear that story some time."

"At least you have a parent to hate." She shrugged, surprised and not surprised he appreantly was married already. Kids these days. Not that she was much younger.
"Oh, there are definitely stranger things. Qi scars, for one." She grinned. "Another time, maybe." After a moment, she added, "What's your last name? I doubt we were in Cabal at the same time if you just joined. You definitely seem familiar."

Drake nodded.
"Yeah, Qi scars are some bullshit and a half... anyways it's Normans, Drake Normans. I grew up in a brothel in Lightning Country before I came to Cabal. So, unless you visited my little home, I doubt we've met. You definitely weren't one of my regulars. So, unless you have a preference for women, then I doubt you came there."
Heh... Came.

"MMm, no, not that then." She shook her head, but his explanation made a lot of sense.
"Sorry darlin', it's more likely I've have been working there instead of a client."

Drake shook his head.
"You definitely weren't one of the girls. I've known each and everyone since I was born. They are the closest thing I have to a family. If you were a worker there, I'd definitely know you. However, if you have worked a brothel before that explains why you seem familiar. You have the same air about you as one of the girls. It's... strangely comforting."

Thunder rumbled in the distance as her expression softened a bit.
"I suppose you could think of it as extended family, then." She ran a hand through her hair and chuckled. "No, we wouldn't have seen each other then unless you were down south or out on a port. But I see you were able to leave that behind."

Drake resisted the urge to smile but instead nodded when she called herself extended family.
"Coming to Cabal was the first time I was able to leave the brothel... while I wish I didn't have to leave the girls behind... I am glad to be away from m-"
He stopped himself hesitating before continuing.
"The bullshit that came with that life."

"It can be hard, but I think we both know killing Dragons isn't going to happen if you stayed, and you could keep them from being targeted if someone found out." She noticed the slip, but let it slide.
"Bullshit's gonna follow you in this life, too. Hope you're ready for it." No sarcasm, just a warning.

Drake nodded to both of her points.
"I agree, and bullshit is just a part of life, I've accepted this a long time ago."
He would shrug.
"As for being ready, is anyone really ever ready for bullshit?"
A humorless chuckle for the shit joke. He would look up to the sky as the thunder intensified. The coulds were reaching peak capacity. It was only moments away from a down pour. He would smirk.
"Storms here."

"No. Probably why they call it bullshit. You can never be ready." She looked up at the sky, hand shielding her eyes as the other one reached out, palm up to catch the water as it poured down and the ground beneath them shook and rumbled like a waking beast.
"But you're a survivor. I can see that." And appreciate it. Then, after a moment, she'd nod to what looked like the remains of a shelter in the distance. It might be nothing more than ruins, but it was hard to tell at this distance.
"There's room if you're worried you're going to melt."

"Ha!"
Drake smirked.
"I ain't that sweet."
But he would follow her to the small shelter if that is where she walked to get cover.

Roz sort of takes him there, but she takes her time in doing so. She's enjoying the rain, wet tee shirt effect and all. It was refreshing.
"You don't make it this far if you're all sugar," she agreed.

Drake also enjoyed the rain drenching him and his clothes. This was nice. He chuckled at the comment that Roz had made.
"Ain't that the truth. God, I'm glad I wasn't raised naive enough to believe that being sweet would actually help you in life."
