Nothing horrible happens at the night, but Yanmei can see Qi beasts shifting through the shadows now and then. Glowing yellow and red eyes peering at her and the fire before retreating into the shadows leaving them safe til dawn.

Since they never posed any danger, Yanmei let Katsu sleep through the night. If he doesn’t wake up at first light, though, she shakes him awake.

The tracks from the beasts can be seen in the snow, but they seem to leave a wide berth for the path northward up the mountain where Yanmei had seen the large footprint the day before.

They climb and the further they get the quieter it becomes until there are nothing but them and the snow. The tracks would suddenly end as they were faced with a massive rock formation in the middle of the path.

Yanmei's fears would be realized as the whole formation shifted as they drew near. Her warning being punctuated by the creaking of its large mass as the being stood up to tower over them. Large eye glowing menacingly as it's tentacles lashed out at Katsu! Attack: 70 Speed: 60 Defense: ?? Perception: ?? Energy: ?? |
