Katsu's Mighty Quest for Epic Loot (Yanmei, GM)

Oh boy.

Katsu does his best to throw himself backwards, away from the tentacles!

He's curious as to see how well this thing can track him.

Yanmei would fire her orb, hoping the attack would slow down enough so that Katsu could dodge!

Binding Sphere- Yanmei tosses a sphere of dark energy, dealing 80% of her energy in damage and slowing the target by 3.

The orb seems to have very little damaging effect on the creature as it strikes his massive form, the tendril's smacking into Katsu as he dodged to send him flying toward the edge. It's eye however would focus on Yanmei when she shouted as it began to glow a deep crimson red before erupting with a beam of energy at her.

“Ngh!”

Katsu sails away, then struggles to his feet, drawing his sword.

The moment he sees what it’s focusing on, he instantly snaps to attention.

“Yanmei!”

Katsu dashes in front of her, blocking the beam as best he can with his sword as well as his body.

Leon, The Lightning Strike

Leon can give Katsu the ability to fight beyond his limits, pushing through almost any injury, stat debuff's, or ailments. This gives Katsu 5 posts of full power combat no matter what before succumbing to effects.

If Katsu is fighting insurmountable odds. Outnumbered, over powered, or just overwhelmed, it drives the fighters spirit up. Leon can grant Katsu +15 to all his physical stats if the situation calls for it,

If Katsu needs to protect someone Leon can grant Katsu the ability to almost instantly move in front of the ally with +28 Def.

Yanmei would try to fly away and in random directions as it turned colour, firing another orb at it again despite it doing very little the first time.

Yanmei was far to slow to get out of the way, however, Katsu came to the rescue! He could feel the beam burning him, his clothing smoldering as he felt his body somehow get squishier. Softer almost.

The orb once more hit the beast who did not seem to react much to it, other than to lash out at Katsu with its tendrils again while it tried to smack Yanmei out of the air with its tusks.

Katsu goes to swipe at the tendrils with his sword, trying to keep its attention on him as best he can!

In her effort to not get smacked, Yanmei would try to dive back into Katsu's body!

Yanmei avoids being gored!

Katsu would find his sword is able to slice into the tendrils, they were not stone. It felt closer to plant than anything else. But the blade would lodge itself within a particularly large tendril as it thrashed, trying to rip the blade out of Katsu's hand (or lift him up and send him smashing into the ground if he kept hold of it.)

[Katsu]

Katsu holds on, refusing to be separated from his sword, and as a result has to try to absorb the impact with the ground with his legs.

He tugs on his sword afterwards, looking to slice his way free of the tendril!

[Qi Yanmei]

Once Katsu would touch the ground, Yanmei would take that opportunity to pop back out into the world, throwing another ball into its mouth if she could.

The outside was pretty tough, short of its mouth or its eye she didn't see too many real soft spots.

The Blade slices free of the tendril, black blood oozing out of it as it roars in pain. Yanmei is able to easily get an orb inside of its mouth prompting it to slam the ground around the two of them with its tendrils, the ground rumbling with the impact as its eye began to glow red once more.

[Katsu]

"Yanmei, go high, towards it!"

Katsu shouts, pulling his blade back in preparation.

The moment she does, he'll dash ahead of her again, this time aiming to stab the creature in the eyeball as it charges!

The beast fires another massive beam, the power engulfing Katsu, burning his skin and clothing but not stopping him as he drives his blade into the Beast's eye. The power vanishing as the Beast roared in pain and began to blindly thrash about.
