((ooc: CLOSED, kthnx<3))
"Chihiro, my office, please." The voice carried up the stairs and through the open doorway of Chihiro's room. Looking up, she placed the door she had been reading face down on her bed, making her way out and down the stairs, through the room deemed 'the library' and through the door in the back to her father's study. She leaned in the doorway, blinking like a child who had done something wrong.
"Yes, father?"
"Inside, Chihiro."
With a sigh, she stepped through the doorway and found a seat across from his desk. She hated being in this room, it was too dark, and gave her the chills. Her father never called her in here for any good news. She remained silent, eyes on him as she waited for him to speak. The elder man was writing on something on his desk, sucessfully ignoring her for a good minute before speaking. "This boyfriend of yours, Oren.."
"Aureus." Chi corrected him. He hadn't even been close. They'd been dating for almost a year, and he still didn't know his name? Typical. She let him go on, which he did anyway without correcting himself.
"-It has come to my attention that your boyfriend has been placed in an asylum, is this correct?" He asked, though she could tell by the tone of his voice that it wasn't much of a question.
"W-well, they were wrong in doing so...they had no right-!"
"I don't want you seeing him anymore."
"What?!" Chi's voice rose in both pitch and volume. Out of all the terrible things. "You can't..!" Her father looked up for the first time from his papers, his gaze angry.
"I can, and I will. You are not to see that boy anymore, understand?" His voice was sharp, demanding.
"..No!" Chi rose to her feet defiantly, fists clenching. "You can't tell me who I can and cannot see."
"We sent you away to your aunt's for some time because you were unstable, and you don't need an unstable boy in your life. He might have even caused all of your stress.."
"You're wrong! He hasn't done anything. You can't do this!"
Sensei Amuri's face grew red even in the dim of the study. "Insufferable child! You disgrace me. You show no respect for your family or for your art." He was yelling now, getting to his own feet, hands planted fla ton the desk. "Get out of my sight."
With a growl, Chi turned on her heel, knocking at the chair as she stormed out of his study, though not returning to the stairs to sulk in her room. She was going out. She needed to walk. She pulled open the front door and slammed it closed harder than necessary as she made her way off the porch and down the sidewalk. They night air was cool but not cold. It was getting close to summer after all. Flip flopped feet led her down the all too familiar concrete path, past the stores and streetlights and glass, only slowing once the familiar cushion of sand fell under her feet. The black waves her crashing against the shore with more gusto than usual, the stars hidden by clouds. Even the milky white of the moon was angry, glaring down on the beach, bleaching everything to a starking black and white.

He felt it, someone was on the beach. Not just himself. Hardly anyone was ever at the beach when he was there. Rain, darkness. That's when he went to the beach. This presence was disturbing him. It was disturbing his commune with himself. He rose to search for the presence on the beach. The sand took his print, but did not dare to make a sound, they did not want to anger the Morning Star. They did not want to cause offense to him. They didn't know if he wanted silence, or noise. So they remained with the safe choice. Silence.
From a distance he could see the presence on the beach. Watching the black waves crash on the shore. The only sound that dared. The power of the ocean.
"Little dove."
What seemed to be a disembodied voice called out to her. It called from what seemed to be the heavens. A recognizable voice that was associated with fear.

Chi stood with her toes immersed in the cool watered, her gaze watching the water crash at her feet. What if the ocean washed her away? Like ink on paper, she would just dissolve into its inky darkness, disappearing forever. It would be nice, in a way. To become one with the sea. This was her favorite placni the world, well, the world she knew. It was Aureus' as well, it was where they had met more than once. Where was he now? Was he alright? She knew that he wouldn't take this whole asylum thing well at all, but she hoped for his safety. As her mind wandered, a low voice shattered her thoughtful silence. Little dove..
That voice, it was so familiar. Chi jumped, shocked from the surprise of the disembodied voice, and from the erie tone it held. She turned around now, her back to the water. "A-Aureus..?" She asked doubtfully, dark eyes searching around her, and she tried not to appear afraid. "W-Who's there?"

"Open your eyes, and maybe you'll remember that."
He moved, and she'd feel that he had moved. But confusion would probably begin to set in. Considering he hadn't shown himself to her at all yet. Tracking him would be impossible, as tracking required one originally seeing the target to be tracked. But he had her locked. She was locked on target.
"I will not be seen if I do not wish to be seen."
That's when he stepped into view. In all his terrifying and maniacal glory. Claws, teeth, eyes. He didn't wear a coat, only the pants and the boots. As well as the gauntlets.
"You disturbed me."
He said it accusingly. As if she had walked over the sacred ground of his ancestors. Like it was an irreversible offense to him. Something so horrible to do, that it warranted terror, torture, and maybe. If you were lucky. Death.

Open your eyes, and maybe you'll remember that. Remember what? Chi's gaze scanned around her more frantically. That voice...it was so icy, dripping with the essence of fear. She had heard this voice before, but it had been speaking in riddles... I will not been seen if I do not wish to be seen. So it wasn't just her eyes. This made her companion all the more dangerous. He would not be seen unless he wished for her to see him. She was completely vulnerable.
Chi opened her mouth to speak, but her voice wouldn't work, and just then the erie voice chose to show himself, her widened gaze falling over his sharp teeth, and equally sharp claws. It was that creature from the alleyway! With a strangled shriek, she stumbled backward.
"I-I'm sorry. I-I d-didn't mean.." Chi stepped backward again, the fingers of her hands splayed to catch herself should she stumble again. Her fearful eyes didn't leave him. The last time Chi had stumbled into his vicinity, Aureus had come to save her. She had no clue where he was now. But she knew he was far enough away that he couldn't do a thing. She was on her own. "I-I'll leave, I'll j-just let you b-be.." Her shaking voice was full of pleading. She had seen what this monster was capable of, and she was no match for him. "P-Please.."

"Are you insane Chihiro Amuri? You repeat an action seeking different results. I'd say you are insane. The first time we met, different results did not happen. I did not let you go Dove."
He walked forward. Pressing closer, breeding fear and sewing the seeds to total mental destruction. He had two infractions of trespassing to repay her for. Last time he didn't get to repay her for that.. insult. But now, there was no knight to save her. It would be just him, the psycho. And her the victim.
"Out of my short lived like for your boyfriend Aureus Hayes, whom recently visited a mental facility. I didn't harm either of you. I only scared you. Obviously."
He reached for her throat with his long right arm. Quick like lightning, and as strong as the arm of Rome under Julius Caesar. If, which wasn't really that big of an if, had caught her throat. He would have her completely under his control. Of course, now he'd have to put an end to these little meetings they keep having.
"Two choices Chihiro. Either I A; Bury you. Which is preferable. Or we go with the B option."

"B-but I had no i-idea. I d-didn't mean to..!" Chi objectly frantically, trying her best not to completely lose it to the fear that was washing over her. If Aureus hadn't been there the last time, Chihiro would have been dead no doubt. Just like the poor soul who had been splattered all over the alley way. She tried to think of a way out of this, but as the irradic fear gripped her, she found herself unable to think.
A terrified shriek escaped the junior as his hand found its way around her neck, and her own hands flew up around his wrist in protest. "P-Please..no-!" She tugged at his hand reflexively, though not expecting much of a result. She couldn't die, she couldn't! But she didn't want to know waht plan B was either. "L-Let me go..!" Tears of fear and panic wet her cheeks, her skin tingling as her nerves were on edge. I've got to ge out of here, I've got to get out of here! Her flight instinct screamed at her. But she couldn't, not with his grip on her throat. She was at his complete mercy...not a very good place to be.

"I don't believe it. Human curiosity isn't begging to know what option B is? Even though I'm choking you? Tsk tsk tsk. Will I have to hurt you to rush this process? I could let you hang here, and choke yourself. When you pass out, maybe I'll bury you under the sand right here. Right under the water. Won't that be great?"
He chuckled, and put a little more pressure on the sides of her neck. So that she could speak, but he was still in control. The left hand reached around her waist, as he lifted her off the ground, her feet would dangle, and water would lap at them. Valekin was all military. Black ops was.. illegal operations from one military force, upon another country or group. Valekin was trained in all methods of pressing fear and terror into one's heart.
He knew how to break people.
"Either you ask, and I tell you what option B is. Or I crush your neck, and bury you beneath the waves. It's a simple choice. Are you afraid of a little faith? Heretic."
What was that? Did he call her...
A Heretic?[/i]

Chi coughed as his hand pressed on her neck, but she was still able to breathe, if uncomfortably. Her eyes grew even wider, however, as he lifted her off of the ground, her feet dangling and her flip flops hanging loosely from the band that goes between her toes. She wiggled her feet, as if willing them to spontaneously grow and touch the ground, but it wasn't long before her gaze raised to meet his fearfully again.
Bury her in the sand?! Well, that was one way for her to become one with the ocean, though is wasn't dissolving...though she was sure he could probably manage that too should she open her mouth. But he ordered her to speak, and she knew better than to refuse as he made it all too clear of what would happen to her should she not do as he says. She opened her mouth to speak, gulping like a fish for a moment before her voice returned.
"What.." She coughed again, "W-What is..opt-tion B?"
Chi felt light headed, as if she were swimming, and her hands still clamped fearfully around his wrist in vain, attempting to keep herself from choking should her let go of his left hand..

"You'll understand how option B can be possible in a moment. So while I hang you here I'm going to drone on and on. Option B consists of doing whatever I say. Generally you'll work for me from where you live. I know where you live. I know your address. I know who lives in your house."
He smiled and turned away from her and looked towards the city for a second, then turned back at her. The Nod Choker made people feel like they were so far lost, that they had to agree to whatever sounded better than death. He used it before, it's very persuasive, as the victim is presented with a choice. They hang there, and if they go with indecision, they will hang themselves.
"I also know where your boyfriend lives. In fact, I could tear your world apart, but I'd leave you alive. If you went back on your word. Do you follow me heretic?"

He knew everything about her...how did he know everything about her? Karel knew everything about her, to the point where all he had to do was call her cell phone and she would do his bidding. He had injected a fear into her. He made her world fall apart, she had lost Aureus because of him, and now when she thought she was overcoming it, here she was all over again. But with one difference this time around..
Karel never threatened to kill her.
Soundlessly, Chi closed her eyes and nodded, wetness streaking down her cheeks. She was so weak, so fucking weak. She couldn't even defend herself. Not even against her own father, much less someone who could kill her without breaking a sweat.

"Good, then it's agreed. You will work for me. But first there is something that must be done to show for that. A marque."
Marques were permanent, and showed to whom one belonged, or to whom one worked for. They were used in the dark ages to determine lineage as well. Here, Valekin was using it to show that Chi worked for him. She would soon learn, that she'd be paid, and quite hansomly for her efforts. What she'd be doing, would be soon determined.
He dropped her into the water. She wasn't completely his yet, but soon. The knife was removed, and brought to view.
"When you're done playing guppy. Turn around and expose your neck."

She was to work for him? What did he want her to do? And what did he mean about a marque? So much was brought to light by his simple statement, but before she could try to speak in reply, he dropped her into the water. Dangling for such a long time, she fell directly onto her bottom, a wave washing over her head.
Spluttering, she rose to her knees, expelling water from her lungs. She could try to run. Scream at the top of her lungs. Someone would be bound to hear her and come to her rescue. Her eyes caught sight of the knife in his hand. How far would she make it before that knife lodged into her chest cavity? Probably not very far. But she couldn't simply submit. To submit would to cease being.
Eyes wide, Chi stumbled back to her feet, taking a step backwards. "What do you want from me?" She challenged first, though forming it in a question. She quickly raised her hands to wring out her hair before bringing her hands down in front of her protectively, it really weighed her down when sodden.

"To repay the debt you owe. If you don't. I'll just have to bury you beneath the sand. We've been over this. If you want to know what you'll be doing I'll tell you. Now turn and expose your neck, before I give you a few new holes to breathe out of."
Yes, he was insane. Yes, none of this made sense. But, if she wanted to avoid the pure agony of billions of grains of sand in the cuts that would be on her body, along with all the salt. And then being buried partially alive. She'd do what he wanted, and without question. As, her whole world was on the line. What he wanted her to do was rather simple really, and he'd teach her how to do the things that he needed her to do.
"First I will teach you how to lie perfectly. Then I will teach you how to mix and create napalm, thermite, and other wonderful chemicals. You'll deliver the chemicals you make to several locations, you'll pick up several packages and deliver those, and you'll be paid hansomely. As in, thousands, millions if you'd like."

Debt? Aparrently she had to pay for accidently stumbling upon him. Her other option wasn't at all desirable. Work or die. It seemed simple enough. With a heavy sigh, she turned around so she was facing the open beach, and her hands rose again, this time pulling the sodden jet black curtain aside to expose the pale, tender skin of her neck.
She closed her eyes to the open beach and water, getting away was out of the question, wincing as she knew what submitting to this would mean. She would have to work for him. Do everything he said. And she would be paid handsomely. Fail and she would lose her life. At least she wouldn't have to worry about being violated right? Which was really the lesser of two evils..? One last movement, her head fell forward in obvious sign of submission. She couldn't possibly allow herself to die now, not with Aureus out somewhere alone.
