Gear interrupted (Event open to 2)

[Lucifer]

He looked at Donovan confused, and wary. Like this was all some stupid joke.

"People distrust us for what we are. A consequence of how we came to be and what we were used for in the war."

[Donovan]

Donovan scratched his head.

"I... don't understand."

Then he would look to Ali to see if she did.

[Allison Kazim]

Ali's lips press into a thin line as she shook her head. The boy had to have been dropped on his head at some point. even Cabal students knew about this. She hoped.

"They are the remains of weapons made during The War." But they weren't like the man known as Project Judgement, not that she could see. Red eyes and white hair, yes, but feral or violent? Not so much.

"People remember the destruction and the stories that came with it. Much as Zekunft was attacked by a violent one that mentioned revenge."

[Lucifer]

He nodded.

"The war wasn't that long ago, and memories are not that short. People look at us and see monsters. Simple as that."

[Donovan]

Donovan shrugged.

"Then they are fools."

He would say matter of factly.

"You all would make excellent ally's."

[Allison Kazim]

Ali nods, agreeing with Donovan! They were pleasant and seeking to help, rather than hurt. The problem was hat they might just be the minority, and the land still bore the scars of the war as much its people did.

"The problem is that there are those who are violent. Now, people remember even more clearly what they had to live through." Her gaze went over those huddled together, and then Azure.

"I feel safe in assuming you are not among them, but it doesn't help you any. I can see about other places or protections are available to you as long as you are within Cabal or its protectorates."

[Lucifer]

"If you wished to go to your people about allowing us to stay here, it would be most appreciated. I, for one, would very much like a chance to set up roots again."

[Donovan]

"Sure, I don't see why they wouldn't be ok with it. Especially since you helped us with out mission."

Donovan shrugged.

[Allison Kazim]

"I will see what can be done. Getting a chance to reach out to you may be difficult, but I'm sure there will be a way." She nodded.

"Speaking of the mission, have you looked into the crate?" She hoped it would be something they could bring with them.

[Lucifer]

"Mission?"

His eyes moved to the crate.

"We have looked into it. Yes."

[Allison Kazim]

"We were sent to investigate the sightings of bandits and the weapons they have been using to see where they came from." She eyed Donovan as she spoke with a small frown before turning back to Azure. "It's been causing quite a bit of trouble for people.

"Confronting them was not part of the situation if we could help it."

[Donovan]

Donovan would look at Ali and blink.

"Wait... what? I thought our mission was just to fight off the bandits and help the villagers?"

[Lucifer]

Azure stayed silent and let them figure it out.

[Allison Kazim]

Ali inhales a deep breath add holds it for ten whole seconds before letting it out, sharking her head hard enough that her hair bounced back and forth and tapped her face.

"We were tasked with retrieving information on the bandits suspected of weapons from Territory One, and handle things as we must." Neither of which they had. "We may have information but it is minimal at best. We barely manage to have our lives." To her, the mission seemed a failure for it on that alone. Hopefully they could have some kind of chance at finding something other than reports about their own injuries.

She may be coming down a bit hard on it before it's finished. She sighed.

"May we proceed with inspecting the crate, then? If there is something of it we can report, it would help."

[Donovan]

"Oh. Okay."

Donovan shrugged. He apparently should have payed attention to the briefing...
